Father's Day Word / Palabra Dia De Padres based / basado en Luke / Lucas 2:49. Preacher / Predicadora Pastor Tabitha Lopez English translation Emilia Perez.
It's a quiet week for new releases online so Iain and Christian, our cinematic duo, decide to venture into the criminal underworld of Guy Ritchie for a double feature review of 2008's RocknRolla and 2020's The Gentlemen. Both films were released at different periods of Ritchie's film career. RocknRolla attempted to steady a filmmaker who had suffered a financial and critical failure with Revolver while The Gentlemen comes after a successful string of moderately successful Hollywood movies. Which film more aptly highlights Ritchie's strengths as a filmmaker? Our hosts discuss. He's been called the "sidekick to the stars," but a more apt, yet slightly less elegant description of Adrian Martinez is "scene-stealer from the stars." Some recent thefts occur in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," "Focus," and "Casa De Mi Padre." You can also see him in the hit ABC show “Stumptown.” Now he wrote, produced, directed and stars in the brilliant, timely, and deeply impacting new film “iGilbert.” On this episode, he talks about going “all in” to make that labor of love, how the psychological gesture plays a big part in his craft, the work ethic Philip Seymore Hoffman instilled in him that he still thinks about when the curtain goes up, and he gives us a Sesame Street-like lesson in the importance of the letter ‘R’ in acting: Reveal, Relax, Remember, Rip, and Risk. Plus much more!
The post 4o.

Composer Andrew Feltenstein and his partner John Nau run Beacon Street Studios. They scored hundred of award winning commercials. Making great music allwos Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Judd Apatow to spoof what they set out to do.
Hipp musik!
This week, we tackle a couple of cinematic heavyweights with Casa De Mi Padre and Machete. Both films walk a tight rope, poking fun at genres. Does it work? Tune in to find out. This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is actually subtitled during one of our reviews. Well that is not entirely true, but Aaron, Abe, and guest Gerard Iribe do take part in reviewing not one, but two comedies – 21 Jump Street, starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, and Casa De Mi Padre, starring Will Ferrell. The regular segments follow as well, including “Know Everybody”, trailer talk (Dark Shadows and Prometheus), box office results, “Instead or Because of”, some games, as well as some brief discussion of WonderCon 2012, which Aaron was part of on the weekend of this recording. It’s another packed episode indeed.
Zach and Tom try and fail to translate the jokes of Will Ferrell's Spanish-language comedy.
Boston area film critics Steve Head and John Black discuss the new films 21 JUMP STREET, CASA DE MI PADRE and JEFF, WHO LIVES AT HOME. This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe has a review and an elongated segment devoted to what is now old news. Aaron, Abe, and special guests Mark Hobin and Mark Johnson spend time reviewing the Paul Rudd/Jennifer Aniston comedy Wanderlust. Later on, the group goes over their Oscar predictions for the Academy Awards (this was recorded the morning of). There will be a bonus episode that goes over the results, which should be released shortly after this episode. And the other segments are around as well, including “Know Everybody”, Trailer Talk (The Dictator and Casa De Mi Padre), and box office results. Were we to have planned better, we would have already released a predictions segment, but we’re not, so here it is anyway.
