The VideoETA podcast is back -- and for a good reason. We reconvene after a three-month hiatus to talk about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Caution: this is a very spoiler-heavy discussion. If you haven't seen Episode VII yet, please wait before listening. We get into the events of the film hard and heavy.

(Author John Green's second film, Paper Towns, is now in theaters.) Next time around John & Tim will be reviewing the Judd Apatow comedy Trainwreck.

Your genial hosts discuss the recent news of a new Han Solo spin-off film. What they don't mention is that it will be directed by Lego Movie directors Chris Miller and Phil 'Sith' Lord. They dive into all the possibilities and implications of this new Star Wars offshoot. As if that weren't enough sci-fi, John and Tim then review the Alex Garland film Ex Machina. Is it worth watching or do we say "domo arigato, Ms. Roboto?" Next time around we'll be critiquing the Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort starrer The Fault In Our Stars. (Elgort is seemingly in contention for the coveted Han Solo role.)

In the oh-so-popular review portion of the program we chat about the 2006 Christopher Nolan film "The Prestige". Abracadabra! We wrap it up with a review of 2006's basketball film Glory Road starring Josh Lucas. Spoiler alert: one of us liked it and one didn't so much.

Breaking news! Disney has announced the title of the first stand alone Star Wars film. The Mouse House also provided the release date for Star Wars Episode VIII. We talk about that news and its impact. We also discuss the big new trailer of the week, Tomorrowland. We slice and dice it and the very different international version of the trailer. Finally, we review the 1979 film Breaking Away. It was John's first viewing and the umpteenth time for Tim. Tell us which of these basketball films we should watch and review for our next podcast.
