Selain donor darah, para alumni juga memberikan santunan kepada 34 anak yatim.Menurut Ketua Panitia, Kolonel Laut Supri Hadi, aksi ini merupakan bentuk syukur atas 25 tahun pengabdian mereka. Wirapitu juga melakukan anjangsana dan ziarah ke makam rekan seperjuangan di berbagai kota.Sementara itu, Komandan Rumah Sakit Marinir Cilandak, Kolonel Laut Muhammad Arifin, menyampaikan bahwa sekitar 100 kantong darah berhasil dikumpulkan.

Seluruh Gereja kita pada hari ini merayakan Hari Raya Maria Bunda Allah, sebuah perayaan besar untuk Bunda kita yang kita semua rayakan pada hari ke-8 setelah kelahiran Yesus Kristus. Pada hari ke-8 kelahiran-Nya ini juga, Yesus untuk pertama kali menumpahkan darah-Nya melalui ritual sunatan sesuai adat istiadat setempat. Bunda-Nya Maria, tentu sebagai orang yang paling bertanggung jawab untuk merawat luka pada Putra-Nya itu, yang bagi anak bayi sangatlah sakit. Ibunda pasti berulang kali melap darah yang keluar selama luka masih segar.   Darah merupakan simbol sangat kuat untuk menghubungkan seorang ibu dengan anaknya. Rahim ibu yang dihuni anak selama dalam kandungan memperlihatkan suatu hubungan darah yang tak terpisahkan antara keduanya, dan itu menjadi sangat jelas ketika bayi itu dilahirkan, ia bermandikan darah ibunya sebelum menikmati dunia baru di luar tubuh ibunda. Maria dan para ibu terus memperlihatkan betapa hubungan darah itu berlanjut sampai anak itu tumbuh menjadi besar dan dewasa. Bunda Maria menikmati hidup penuh dengan darah bersama Putra-Nya, khususnya selama di kaki salib di Golgota dan saat memangku jenazah Yesus Kristus, la pieta.   Para ibu kita di dunia, tentu saja bersama suami atau bapa kita, merasakan betapa sakit di tubuh mereka jika anak-anaknya menderita. Darah mereka bagai mengalir deras tanda tak tahan penderitaan itu. Betapa mereka bersuka cita saat anak mereka bahagia, saat darah dalam tubuh mereka bersirkulasi baik sehingga mereka tampak ceria dan senang. Betapa susah senang anak-anaknya di dunia membuat darah mereka tenang, rendah, dan naik. Darah itu yang menyatukan ibu dan anak, sehingga hubungan ini pada prinsipnya hanya dapat diputuskan oleh kematian. Ini semua menggambarkan bahwa seorang bunda itu berhati keibuan. Wanita yang melahirkan kita itu keibuan karena kasih dan perhatiannya kepada kita sama dengan Tuhan Allah kepada kita ciptaan-Nya.   Di hari istimewa Maria Bunda Allah ini, kiranya hati kita penuh dengan suka cita dan syukur. Natal yang mempertemukan kita dengan Yesus dan Keluarga Nazareth membuat suka cita kita penuh. Kita mesti memulai tahun ini dengan suka cita dan optimisme, dan itu adalah isi Injil yang akan kita wartakan. Figur bunda yang keibuan, pada dasarnya pada diri wanita, sangat sentral dalam hidup kita, maka kita mesti bersyukur sangat mendalam karena Tuhan amat baik memberikan karunia bunda, ibu, dan wanita kepada kita. Hidup kita tak bisa menjadi hidup yang sesungguhnya kalau tak punya seorang bunda yang keibuan. Marilah kita berdoa. Dalam nama Bapa... Ya Bapa maha baik, terima kasih berlimpah atas karunia Bunda Allah dan ibu kami masing-masing, jadikanlah kami anak-anak yang selalu setia pada ibu kami dan mendoakan mereka. Salam Maria... Dalam nama Bapa...

Dalam memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) BRI yang ke-129, BRI Regional Office Padang menggelar donor darah, pada Selasa 17 Desember 2024. Kegiatan bakti sosial ini ditargetkan dapat mengumpulkan 129 kantong darah yang berasal dari karyawan bank plat merah tersebut. Jelang siang, peserta yang mendaftar sudah lebih dari 129 orang. Salah satu peserta donor darah adalah Asisten II Setdaprov Sumbar, Arry Yuswandi. Usai memberikan sambutan mewakili Gubernur Sumbar pada kegiatan tersebut, Arry yang didampingi Regional CEO BRI Padang, Riza Pahlevi langsung memeriksakan diri. Setelahnya mantan Kepala Dinas Sosial Sumbar ini berbaring di tempat tidur yang disediakan. “Memeriahkan HUT BRI ke-129 tahun ini, kita tak hanya menggelar kegiatan seremoni tetapi juga bakti sosial. Seperti hari ini, karyawan BRI berbagi setetes darah dalam kegiatan donor darah,” kata Regional CEO BRI Padang, Riza Pahlevi di gedung BRI RO Padang. Selanjutnya, BRI RO Padang mengadakan khitanan massal dengan peserta anak-anak dari masyarakat tak mampu yang tinggal di sekitar kantor BRI, baik di kantor cabang hingga BRI unit. Pesertanya juga ditargetkan sebanyak 129 orang sesuai dengan usia BRI saat ini. “Puncak HUT BRI diadakan pada Sabtu 21 Desember 2024, di antara agendanya adalah pagelaran pentas seni,” terang Riza Pahlevi. Asisten II Setdaprov Sumbar, Arry Yuswandi dalam sambutannya memberikan apresiasi kepada BRI sebagai lembaga perbankan tertua di tanah air yang didirikan pada tahun 1895. Berbagai inovasi yang dilakukan BRI makin memudahkan masyarakat mengakses berbagai layanan BRI, seperti hadirnya Teras BRI dan BRILink. “Kehadiran BRI memberikan dampak besar bagi kemajuan perekonomian daerah, termasuk di Sumbar. BRI menjangkau masyarakat hingga ke pelosok nagari,” katanya. Selanjutnya kegiatan donor darah dalam rangka HUT BRI ke 129 ini, lanjut Arry, merupakan salah satu wujud nyata kecintaan BRI kepada sesama. Pihaknya berharap ke depan, BRI memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar lagi untuk Ranah Minang. Di antara peserta donor darah, terdapat peserta perempuan, di antaranya Eka dan Selvia. Usai pemeriksaan kesehatan, dengan penuh semangat Eka menyodorkan tangannya kepada petugas medis dari PMI Cabang Padang. “Dulu sewaktu kuliah, saya rutin ikut donor darah. Kalau sekarang, saya ikut donor setiap momen bakti sosial yang digelar BRI RO Padang,” ujar Eka. Tak jauh berbeda yang diungkapkan Selvia. Awalnya dia tertarik ikut donor darah karena mengikuti suaminya yang rutin mendonorkan darahnya. Setiap kali donor, dia merasakan badannya lebih segar dan menjadi penuh semangat. “Beda sekali rasanya antara sebelum donor dengan setelah donor darah. Saetelah donor darah, saya merasa lebih bugar,” katanya sambil tesenyum.
