Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. In a culture that combats finding what is true and what's a lie, people now more than ever are looking for genuine, authentic relationships. They want to hear the truth. When it comes to sharing our testimonies, it's important to remember to be genuine and vulnerable when telling others our story. God may have you sharing with a Divine Appointment—a person that He has drawn to you to hear your story for a purpose. It could be the very same struggles or hurts that you've faced they're facing now. It could be the very things God has redeemed in your life they're dealing with in their own life. So make sure to ask the Holy Spirit to guide your conversation about what you should share, and be open and truthful with what God has done in your life. Not sure how to share your testimony? Well, visit whatsmystory.org to use our free online testimony builder. You can learn more at our website sharelife.today.

In this message, Youth Minister Cameron Cooper teaches from John chapter four, emphasizing how Jesus intentionally traveled through Samaria, not out of convenience, but due to a divinely orchestrated appointment with the woman at the well. Cooper illustrates how God arranges our lives with purpose, even when we feel like we are making mistakes or are in the wrong place at the wrong time. He encourages listeners to recognize and embrace these divine moments as purposeful encounters designed by God to transform and refresh our lives. Ultimately, he challenges believers to actively draw from the “living water” that Jesus offers, growing spiritually beyond dependency on others, and learning to encourage and feed themselves through personal engagement with God's Word.

Peter and John were going to pray but they encountered a lame man begging for alms. Led by the Spirit they stopped. What happened next sparked a chain reaction they could not have imagined. Listen in to see how to be ready for divine appointments today!
God often chooses the most unexpected voices to deliver His message. He has spoken through prophets, kings, and angels—but also through a donkey, a prostitute, and a Samaritan woman. His voice isn't limited to where we expect it. Sometimes, it comes through a stranger, an enemy, or even a situation we never saw coming. Our springboard for today's discussion is: Hebrews 13:2 – "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."Think about Balaam, a man determined to go against God's will, yet stopped in his tracks when his donkey literally spoke truth to him. Rahab, a Canaanite prostitute, recognized the power of Israel's God and became a key player in protecting His people. And the Samaritan woman at the well? She was the last person anyone expected Jesus to engage with, yet He revealed deep spiritual truths to her, and she became one of the first evangelists. If God can use a donkey, a foreigner, or a social outcast, He can certainly use anyone around us. Maybe it's a co-worker who challenges your perspective, a homeless person speaking wisdom, or even a child offering innocent yet profound insight. The key is being open, discerning, and willing to hear.Question of the Day: Have you ever dismissed someone, only to later realize God was speaking through them?Let's Pray: Lord, open my heart to recognize Your voice in the unexpected. Remove any pride or assumptions that keep me from hearing Your truth, no matter who speaks it. Let me be attentive to divine appointments, knowing that You work through the most unlikely people. In Jesus' name, Amen.Let's Get To Work!Support MyR2B Ministries – Your support helps sustain this ministry and reach more people with the message of God's voice. This is a public episode. Pastor Joe & Kirsten jump right into a wonderfully weird pancake debate and the rabbit trail ensues! Then, shifting gears, they delve into Pastor Joe's sermon from Luke 5. It's a familiar passage, one he's preached on multiple times, yet the message hits him with fresh power each time. The Word of God doesn't change, but we do. Jesus ending up in Peter's boat was, Pastor Joe believes, a divine appointment. He challenges the listener to consider if they've had God-orchestrated "boat moments" in their lives. David joins Doug today who has his voice, barely How many genders? ------------------ Matthew 10:46-52 (ESV) 13 And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. 15 Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town. Persecution Will Come 16 “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, 18 and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. 19 When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 21 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. 24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. 25 It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household. Have No Fear 26 “So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. __________________ 5 Core Values of SWAT 1. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. The Holy Spirit is softening and drawing hearts to Himself each and every day. And we can be a part of His work. One of the very best ways to join the Holy Spirit is by praying for what we like to call “Divine Appointments.” I can't tell you how many times He has led me a person who was waiting for someone to share the Gospel with them. In Arizona, I met a twenty-one-year-old named Raymond who was waiting at a bus stop. He told me that he was in a recovery program that talked about God but hadn't shared much about Him. Raymond was sitting there wondering how he could find out more when we walked up. With tears in his eyes, he accepted Christ after hearing the Gospel and said, “Thank you! This is going to change my life.” So I encourage you to start praying for opportunities to share your faith and watch God do amazing things. For more on sharing the Gospel, visit sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.
Aligning your life with your passions and a greater purpose doesn't happen all at once—it's about taking small, intentional steps every day. Start by getting clear on what truly excites and fulfills you, then look for ways to incorporate more of that into your daily routine, no matter how small. Surround yourself with people who support your growth, and be willing to let go of habits, commitments, or mindsets that no longer serve you. The more aligned your actions become with what genuinely matters to you, the more natural and fulfilling your path forward will feel.Tait Fletcher is an actor, stuntman, and entrepreneur known for roles in The Equalizer, The Accountant, and the John Wick franchise. With a martial arts background and a passion for growth, he's built a career that blends physical skill with a commitment to personal development and community service. Today, Tait speaks about overcoming personal struggles, embracing discipline and faith, and finding purpose through the relentless pursuit of excellence. Join in as young leaders pose inquiries about life, personal development, and beyond!Quotes: “If you have something you're in love with, where did that come from? You could make an argument that it came from God.” – Tait Fletcher “You either start to lie about who you are, or you get busy putting your footsteps down to get good at something. It's one or the other. I think that decision then starts to build whatever character you are throughout your life.” – Tait Fletcher “You better take care of yourself in a way that you'll be able to have some utility later. The same thing applies to falling in love with yourself. It's like committing to the shot; that's also a transferable skill.” – Tait Fletcher “What we do sometimes is turn our backs on that thing, and we confuse ourselves because we're still moving towards it, but we're moving backwards.” – Matt BeaudreauTakeaways: Reflect on what you're truly passionate about and how you can align your life to pursue that purpose, even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone. Consider where you may be holding back due to fear or self-doubt and challenge yourself to take a step towards your goals with unwavering commitment. Examine your relationship with shame and explore how it can be transformed into a powerful motivator for positive change and personal growth. Seek out mentors and supportive communities that can provide guidance, accountability, and a safe space to explore your full potential. Cultivate a mindset of openness and humility, recognizing that your current beliefs and perspectives may evolve as you continue on your journey of self-discovery.Conclusion:Growth requires looking inward, staying committed, and embracing discomfort. True fulfillment comes from pushing past familiar limits, not staying where it's safe. Self-reflection clarifies what matters, while dedication turns goals into reality. The toughest steps often bring the most meaningful change. Choosing growth over comfort leads to a life aligned with your deepest values.
Church Life “Gospel Grace and the New Covenant, Pt. 2” (Acts 10:24-43)A Divine Appointment (vv. 24-33) Eph. 2:14-16,19 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility... 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, A Unifying Message (vv. 34-35)Ro.10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.Gal. 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.A Gospel Testimony (vv. 36-43) - Historical apologetic (vv. 36-38)- Historical Eye-Witness Accounts (39-41)1 Jo. 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our[a] joy may be complete.Lu. 24:45-48 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance for[c] the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.
