A butterfly farm in Aruba. A chrysalis full of goo. And one strange biological detail scientists call ""imaginal cells"" — the secret blueprint hidden inside the dissolving caterpillar that decides what it becomes next. Lance Wallnau says the same hidden blueprint is sitting inside YOU right now — and most believers will die without ever activating it. What if the ""stuck"" season you're in isn't a setback... but a cocoon? Lance unpacks Convergence Theory and Constraint Theory — the behavioral science (developed by Israeli physicist Eliyahu Goldratt) that explains why 80% of called people never reach the assignment God put them on earth to fulfill. And what are the 3 hidden numbers behind every $100 million operator — and the master teacher Jesus modeled? In this episode: • The ""imaginal cell"" revelation God showed Lance at a butterfly farm — and why you can't fly until you find the right people to agree with what's inside you • The 4 phases of convergence: Sovereign Foundation → Spiritual Formation → Gift Discovery → Life Maturing → Convergence (and why most ministries crash in stage 4) • The Doldrums — the spiritual ""no wind"" zone that breaks 80% of called leaders • Why your CONSTRAINT — not your gifting — is what's actually capping your altitude (the sandbag principle) • The 93% / 80% / 50% formula behind every $100M CEO — and why Trump operates exactly this way (most people totally misread him) • The Sergius Paulus pattern: why Paul's FIRST convert after being sent out by the Holy Spirit was a Roman political ruler — and what that means for the seven mountains mandate today • The ""5 Questions From Mastery"" download Lance got during a massage in the Caribbean — and why wisdom isn't the answer, it's the question • Why a 95%+ achievement drive will actually destroy you (and how God forces the Sabbath reset) This isn't motivational. This is the prophetic + behavioral data that explains why some believers fly and most never leave the chrysalis. Branden Hudson hosts Champ Talk and interviews his friend Dan Stretz, a longtime staple of Southside Jiu-Jitsu/SBY who now teaches at Culture of Jiu-Jitsu in Gaithersburg. Dan recounts transitioning from competitive cross country/track to jiu-jitsu after burnout, mono, coaching conflicts, and inspiration from Fedor Emelianenko and a Bellator MSG event, including the anxiety of walking into his first class and being welcomed with a borrowed white belt. They compare gym cultures across Dan's experiences—older “grindy” pay-your-dues training, SBY's more welcoming team-building environment, and COJ's blend of hard training with a family-oriented vibe—highlighting how small lapses can erode culture. Dan discusses using action, supportive relationships, and self-kindness to navigate depression, difficult relationships, long-distance stress, and an 11-month unemployment period, and closes by sharing his teaching schedule and praising COJ leadership.00:00 Show Kickoff and Subscribe00:50 Meet Dan Stretz02:08 Early Jiu Jitsu Memories04:50 Track Roots in New York06:43 Burnout Mono and Searching08:17 Fedor Spark and MMA Obsession10:43 MSG Bellator and Train Encounter12:35 First Class Nerves and White Belt16:35 Gym Cultures and Teaching Styles19:21 Southside vs SBY Culture Shift21:14 Building SBY From the Ground Up22:44 Growing the Gym Space23:49 Stepping Into Coaching24:42 Hard Training Family Vibes25:53 Protecting Gym Culture26:49 Fighting Depression With Action29:58 Cutting Ties Finding Support33:11 Big Life Changes That Helped37:50 Unemployment Rock Bottom41:45 Self Compassion And Gratitude43:31 Closing Thoughts And Where To Train

Kerry Docherty has spent her life being two things at once: the good girl the world expected, and someone far more complicated underneath. Co-founder and Chief Impact Officer of beloved B-Corp clothing company Faherty Brand, Kerry had a winding path, moving through Yale, human rights law, a mindfulness business, and a beach trailer selling swimsuits before landing somewhere she never quite planned. In this episode, Kerry opens up about the tangled dynamics of building a family business with her husband and his twin brother, her struggles with motherhood, and her own affair, all of which she recounts in her new debut memoir, Selfish: Unlearning, Reclaiming, and Telling the Truth, a book her loved ones didn’t want published. We dig deep into the Harris/Fox interview // How old do you feel? // SCENARIOS!
Whenever we complete a race, it's such an incredible high. People are cheering for us, while we have accomplished something incredible that means the world to us. But after the confetti clears and the event ends, that high can wear away. And worse yet, our brains can sink to a level of post-race depression that feels really hard to kick. For Brooks Bash, after he completed 100 marathons in 100 consecutive days and then ran 315 miles in the Speed Project, he faced this same issue. But took steps and got help to get himself into a better spot to love running again. And in this episode, Brooks shares how he was able to do that. Along with pushing through the low points that can come in an ultramarathon.Brooks Bash is the Founder of Earthy, which is an all-natural drink designed to give athletes sustained energy with no B.S. products. Brooks has also completed 100 marathons in 100 consecutive days, conquered the Speed Project solo of 315 miles in one shot, and has completed tons of other endurance accomplishments. We talked about the autobiographical nature of John's songs, the power of music to impact people's lives, the challenges of the music industry, the importance of speaking out against atrocities, how his ego has helped… and hindered him… and the low points and dark periods in his life. Specifically, being dropped by his record label and had to get a job, and the challenging time he faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. John emphasizes the importance of gratitude, taking care of yourself, and making decisions that align with your values John Ondrasik, better known as Five For Fighting, is a platinum selling multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter. To me, his songwriting is along the lines of the classic songwriters of the 60s & 70s like Elton John and Neil Diamond. John's released 6 studio LPs… has several hundred music licensing placements, many in well-known TV shows and movies… he co-manages his family's business, Precision Wire Products… and he's also an in-demand keynote speaker (watch his TedX presentation) Photo by Mike Donahue Chapters: 00:00 Introduction to John Ondrasik 02:02 Early Musical Influences and Songwriting 04:36 The Chip on John Androsik's Shoulder 06:04 Breakthrough Moments in his Career 12:19 Living in the Moment and Appreciating the Little Things 18:04 The Power of Will and Taking Risks 21:46 Positive Affirmations and Mindset 24:21 Reflecting on Mortality and the Meaning of Life 26:53 The Story Behind 'The Day I Died' 29:40 The Autobiographical Nature of John's Songs 30:11 The Power of Music to Impact Lives 36:14 Challenges in the Music Industry 43:25 Speaking Out Against Atrocities 49:10 The Role of Ego in the Music Business 53:52 Dealing with Low Points and Dark Periods in Life 58:41 The Challenges of the Music Industry 01:00:35 Navigating the Pandemic 01:04:23 The Traits that Contribute to Success 01:08:35 Gratitude and Making Decisions 01:11:39 The Power of Music 01:13:13 Speaking Your Mind Five For Fighting Upcoming Tour FIVE FOR FIGHTING FULL BAND TOUR DATES: Thursday, July 11 Hot Summer Nights Concert Series @ Municipal Lawn in Sherman, TX (Free Show) Saturday, July 27 @ Mystic Lake Casino, Mystic Amphitheater in Prior Lake, MN (Free Show) Tuesday, August 6 @ Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore.PA Thursday, August 8 @ Electric City in Buffalo, NY Friday, August 9, 2024 @ House of Blues, Cambridge Room in Cleveland, OH Saturday, August 10, 2024 @ St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit, MI Sunday, August 11, 2024 @ Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, MI Tuesday, August 13, 2024 @ Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC Wednesday, August 14, 2024 @ Oceanfront Concerts Series, 24th Street Park in Virginia Beach, VA Friday, August 16, 2024 @ Cabot Theater in Beverly, MA Saturday, August 17, 2024 @ The Wolf Den At Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT (Free Show) Sunday, August 18, 2024 @ Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY Five For Fighting Quartet Shows Thurs, September 26 in Homer, NY at Center for the Arts of Homer Fri, September 27 in Saratoga Springs, NY at Universal Preservation Hall Sat, September 28 in Corning, NY at Corning Museum Of Glass Sun, September 29 in Bethel, NY at The Event Gallery at Bethel Woods October 1 in Oneonta, NY at Foothills Performing Arts Center October 3 in Nashua, NH at Nashua Center for the Arts October 4 in Laconia, NH at The Colonial Theatre Laconia October 5 in Bethlehem, NY at The Colonial Theatre October 6 in Waterville, ME at Waterville Opera House October 8 in Newport, RI at The JPT Film & Event Center October 9 in Red Bank, NJ at Count Basie Center for the Arts - The Vogel October 10 in Port Washington, NY at Landmark on Main Street
I completed the Ouray 100 miler this past weekend, and it's known as one of the hardest 100 milers in the US. With 42,000 feet of climbing (more than Hardrock), being at an average altitude of 10,000 feet the entire time, and inclement weather, this race is absolutely no joke. It was one of the hardest races of my life, and in this episode, I recap the epic journey and lessons from the race. In this second part of this series, I cover how I pushed through the biggest mental lows of the race, how to feel better in a race when you feel terrible, and what the last moments in the race looked like.
