On Monday's episode of Futbol Americas, Sebastian Salazar and Herculez Gomez reacted in detail to the World Cup playoff draw where the CONCACAF fourth place team will face the winner of Oceania. Did CONCACAF catch a break? Then we moved on to Portugal and Italy being drawn in the same group of the playoff. Who would you rather miss out: Portugal or Italy? The we talked about U.S. Soccer naming Columbus and St. Paul as host cities for their next two WCQ matches. Are you cool with the selections? Then we moved on to Weston McKennie and his injury in Juventus's defeat before debating the situation with “Tecatito” Corona at Porto where his head coach took a jab at his work ethic. Is his time at Porto over? We finished the segment by RUNNING IT BACK with weekend performances from Hirving Lozano, Gerardo Arteaga, Tim Ream and Timothy Tillman. Next, we had an exclusive interview with Real Salt Lake goalkeeper David Ochoa. The young keeper, fresh off a win in the MLS WC semis vs. Sporting KC, talks about the current playoff run for RSL and what it means to “quiet” the haters. Ochoa, who is very vocal, answers the question of whether he is okay with being the MLS's new “villain”. We also ask him about his move from the USMNT to Mexico and his future plans. We then move on to the MLS conference semifinals between Colorado and Portland and Philadelphia vs. Nashville. We finish the segment by talking about the news that the L.A. Galaxy is parting ways with Jonathan dos Santos and then Bob Bradley's hiring at Toronto FC. What expectations are there? Then, we gave a welcome to soccer play-by-play announcer and analyst Mauricio Pedroza to talk all things Liga MX playoffs. Club América fell to Pumas in the quarterfinals even though they were the highest-seeded team in the league. Was América that bad or was Pumas that good? Should head coach Santiago Solari be fired? Then we talked about the reports of the rumored swap between América and Chivas, where Sebastián Córdova and Uriel Antuna would be swapped. Then we moved on to talk about Monterrey's elimination and its coach Javier Aguirre making excuses to having a “short” squad. Monterrey is also in the FIFA Club World Cup. Can they make it to the final based on their draw? Next, we talked about the USWNT and their youth playing in the win against Australia. Is head coach Vlatko Andonovski under pressure? Then we finished the segment by talking about the women's Mexican national team beating the Olympic champ Canada in a friendly and Queretaro's Daniela Sanchez's goal being nominated for the Puskás Award. In the last segment, we talked about the USL final between Tampa Bay Rowdies and Orange County SC before debating the USL moving it's format to a European fall-to-spring calendar. Are you cool with it? We closed the show by talking about Lionel Messi winning his seventh Ballon D'Or. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
