In this episode we chat about the latest Sister Wives episode, "A Time to Weep, A Time to Laugh." We finally see Garrison during Christine and David's pre-wedding celebrations, which was so emotional. The episode kicks off with Kody and Robyn's four-wheeler adventure, where Robyn flips off her vehicle, leaving us hanging about her condition. Christine and David's wedding preparations are heartwarming. Kody and Robyn's relationship struggles take center stage as Robyn tries to get Kody to reconnect with his other wives, but he resists. Meri's quilt scene is bizarre, with Kody wanting t-shirt scraps back. The pre-wedding boat party shows a fun side of the family, with Christine chugging a Bud Light seltzer. Kody admits to Robyn he's thought about leaving her, and they discuss moving to Europe. Next week's episode teases Christine and David's wedding day, and I can't wait to see it. What happens when Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia goes undiagnosed Lesley Rutter lives in Newcastle, around 10 years ago, at the age of 40, she began to notice severe hair shedding. The front of her hair began to be itchy, her hair follicles became raised & inflamed, and her hairline began to recede away. She went to the doctor, and he told her it was just stress related,, and it would go away on its own. She returned to various doctors over a period of six years, where she was repeatedly sent away and told that it was just because of stress. She was left undiagnosed, not knowing where to turn or what she could do to treat her condition. She had bouts of severe shedding, including loss of eyebrows and lashes, which means her eyes are constantly itchy.Eventually, a nurse noticed that her confidence was being severely affected, and that this was having an impact on her life, and encouraged her to advocate for herself and demand to be referred for treatment. This led to her being sent to a dermatologist, who finally diagnosed her with FFA. By this time, however, she had lost around two inches of her hairline, and was shocked to discover that this would not be reversible. She now has a treatment plan, and has made connections with others, who can understand what she is going through, which she says has made a huge difference.Brain aneurism UK Hair & Scalp Salon Specialist course Support the Show.Connect with Hair therapy: Facebook Instagram Twitter Clubhouse- @Hair.Therapy Donate towards the podcast Start your own podcastHair & Scalp Salon Specialist Course ~ Book now to become an expert!

This then grew back, then she lost it again. She is a Doctor who specialises in breast surgery & cancer research, who has been using JAK inhibitors to treat her own condition.Dr Boyle shares how losing her hair caused her to stop & put more time into looking after herself better; she began running, journaling, eating better and even stopped drinking alcohol for a year. Persistent Chemotherapy Induced Alopecia Jo had chemotherapy and radiotherapy in 2017, following breast cancer. She has had a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy, which plunged her into medically induced menopause. She also lost her hair due to the treatment. She had been advised that this would probably happen, but was given the impression that it would grow back. She was not really given any information or advice regarding the cold cap, and after treatment, her hair didn't really start to grow back.Jo sought help from her doctors, dermatologist and even a trichologist. She tried minoxidil, which yielded no results, and eventually was advised that her hair follicles seemed damaged, and after seven years, her hair has never fully grown back.It wasn't until she spoke to a scalp cooling expert that she heard the term Persistent Chemotherapy Induced Alopecia, and found out how common it is. Jo set up her instagram account 'Titless Wonder' to help to spread awareness around breast cancer, the options available, and the reality of the possible side effects of treatment, such as PCIA. She is determined to ensure that people know all the information to be able to make a fully informed decision on their treatment plan.
