Vicki has been a long time leader in the appropriate use of educational technology with a focus on reaching every child and achieving a healthy balance between screen time and face to face relationship building between teacher and student. She does use AI in the classroom and often discusses not only the tools but the appropriate uses of AI in the classroom. Vicki is host of the 10 Minute Teacher podcast and received the BAMMY award in 2016 for the top podcast host in education. She now also hosts a radio and TV show called “Cool Cat Teacher Talk.” Vicki has keynoted more than 50 edtech conferences around the world and at places like Google and Microsoft. In 2021 and 2022 she was named by ICS research as one of the top education influencers in the world and she's been a judge for the Million dollar Varkey Global Teacher Price since its inception. In der heutigen Folge dreht sich alles um die Geschichte von Fatme, Business Analystin mit einem unkonventionellen Werdegang und Mutter von drei Kindern. Fatme hatte ursprünglich den festen Traum, Apothekerin zu werden, und ihr Herz schlug für die Pharmazie. Doch das Leben hielt andere Pläne für sie bereit. Auf Grund langer Wartezeiten für einen Studienplatz suchte sie nach Alternativen und eine Freundin brachte sie auf die Idee, Informatik zu studieren. Fatme hatte schon immer gerne an Computern herumgeschraubt und getüftelt. Im Studium stellte sie schnell fest, dass die Welt der Informatik gar nicht so trocken war, wie sie erwartet hatte. Nach ihrem Abschluss arbeitete Fatme zunächst freiberuflich als IT-Coach, wobei sie unter anderem Geflüchtete in IT-Fähigkeiten unterrichtete. Durch Zufall fand sie schließlich ihren Weg zu ihrem aktuellen Arbeitgeber, wo sie heute als Business Analystin glänzt. Dabei profitiert sie enorm von den Fähigkeiten und dem Wissen, das sie während ihres FIW Studiums erworben hat.Der gute Rat von anderen Frauen zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch Fatmes Geschichte und betont einmal aufs Neue, wie wichtig die gegenseitige Unterstützung ist. Fatme selbst sprudelt nur so vor Ideen und ermutigenden Worten und rät anderen Frauen, an sich selbst zu glauben, bei der Jobsuche am Ball zu bleiben um eine Position zu finden, die nicht nur finanziell attraktiv ist, sondern auch persönliche Erfüllung bietet.

Many years ago, an article written by the American Council of Exercise called Dr. Michael Mantell's attention. The report was a plan to eradicate obesity in America by 2030 through diet and exercise.
