American comedian Jorge Castellanos joins us from his home in Shanghai, China to discuss the hardcore lockdown he has been in for the last 13 days. He and his wife cannot leave their apartment, they cannot open the door and they are encouraged to not open the window all in the name of stopping the spread of Omicron variant in their city. With every restaurant and grocery store in the business closed, Jorge has been coordinating with his neighbors to buy the delivery minimum of RMB 3,000 (roughly $500 USD) worth of food, water and supplies in order to keep from going hungry during this time. Today's episode is a special one. This fierce guest is many things to me- a provider, client, and friend. And I have mad respect for the business she and her husband and partner in crime, Dr Jorge Castellanos have built together. While she is strikingly beautiful and outspoken about her convictions, She is actually quite introverted and you'll pick that up during the podcast as her humility often comes off as almost shyness. Lauren talks in this episode about frustrations she felt around the consumer perception of aesthetics and facial balancing and how patients have been misinformed by much of what is seen on social media. She shares some of her biggest lessons learned as she crossed the first million dollar milestone and gives some insight into how choosing to focus on high value activities and creating boundaries around them in her business and life has given her the ability to indulge in the things she cares most about while protecting her time, energy, and profits. If you are thinking about starting a business, scaling your business as a solopreneur, or expanding to multiple locations, this episode is for you.

lotta fun on this ep talking to Jorge Castellanos about work and all the jobs we've had, past and present.
Andy’s bowed down to pressure and brought on another guest, none other than Jorge Castellanos. Jorge’s part of the main cast at Mamahuhu, he’s a touring comedian, and the owner of a big early learning centre in Shanghai. If only he had a better story… Today’s track is Everlong by the Foo Fighters.

Welcome to the pilot episode of the CineSoul podcast. CineSoul is a brand new show on The Overthink that uses cinema to explore what matters to us most. Jorge Castellanos and his guests have conversations about the effects a film's subject, theme and aesthetics have on our lives. This is not a discussion primarily focused on cinema as an art form, but rather on how any particular film touches us and why. CineSoul's aim is to have the film catalyze a deeper conversation. In today's episode of CineSoul, Jorge sits down with Sara Matson to discuss the film Lady Bird, nominated for five Academy Awards. ----------------- Each episode of CineSoul will appear on this Overthink feed once a month, so stay tuned for more film-related deep conversations with Jorge and his guests.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Thanks for downloading our first ever "State of the Film" special episode! Today we're talking all about Star Wars. That's right, we cover all 9 Star Wars films, including both "Rogue One" and the recently announced "The Last Jedi" (that comes out in 9 months). We're getting technical with you (sorry Threepio) and discussing the films primarily from a filmmaking perspective. We brought in a few filmmakers to help us out, so I hope you enjoy the dulcet tones of Dominic Laing and Jorge Castellanos who both share with us the genius, and the not-so-genius moments of the franchise's 40-year history. We really enjoyed chatting with them, and they both had some very interesting insights we'd never even thought about before. This is the first of two parts, so look out for the second part coming soon, which will tackle Star Wars from the fan perspective, where we really take a look at the state of the franchise to see how it's holding up, and if the new movies are doing justice to the originals. If you watched Westworld, then you're probably deep into your withdrawal symptoms by now. If you can see and hear clearly enough, listening to this should help! We couldn't get enough of the show, so we decided to do a little Side Quest on it.We talk everything from Ed Harris' creepy smile to why a mother would want to bring her kid into Westworld in the first place (hint: we have no idea). We're also joined by our old friend, Jorge Castellanos, who shares a few insights into his interpretation on the climactic finale, as well as what he thinks all of those weird robots were doing thinking they were humans. And make sure you stick around for the exciting Lightening Round where we finally figure out why that wolf ran across the screen at one point (hint: we have no idea). And remember: "These violent delights have violent ends."Enjoy! If you want to catch us in between episodes, you can find us at these places:Website: www.MenOfLowMoralFiber.com Twitter: @MOLMFpod Instagram: @MenOfLowMoralFiber Email: MOLMFpod@gmail.comCheck out our MOLMF merch too!And if you have a minute, go check out our Patreon: patreon.com/molmf
