Former President Donald Trump was indicted Thursday night by a Manhattan grand jury, marking the first time in American history that a former president has faced criminal charges. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had been pursuing an indictment for the former President's alleged hush money payments made in the months leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Former President Trump, who has announced his 2024 candidacy, responded to his indictment Thursday night, calling this "political persecution and election interference at the highest level." Former South Carolina Congressman and federal prosecutor, Trey Gowdy, joins the podcast to explain the reasons why this is the weakest legal case against former President Trump, his doubts that this indictment will impact the 2024 primary, and why this is an example of our justice system being corrupted by politics. Attending college has long been a popular next step for high school graduates, but as more young adults find themselves strapped with thousands of dollars in debt after graduating, some are looking to another stepping stone for a career path: apprenticeships. Traditionally thought to exist only in trades like plumbing or electrical work, apprenticeships are now available for those interested in a number of new fields like cybersecurity or consulting. The Wall Street Journal's higher education reporter, Doug Belkin, has spoken at length with many students who are opting to take on apprenticeships instead of college. He joins the Rundown to discuss his insights, the unique benefits apprenticeships can garner for young adults, and the factors he believes portray college as either a tool or a waste of time. In this segment of By Any Means Necessary, hosts Sean Blackmon and Jacquie Luqman are joined by David Swanson, activist, journalist, radio host, Executive Director of World Beyond War and author of the new book “Leaving World War II Behind” to discuss the recently revealed “Talon Anvil” unit which is responsible for killing of civilians in Syria beyond what was already allowed by the military, politicians spreading the mythology of drone warfare as a more precise means of warfare to sanitize the image of war, and the US government's hypocrisy in presenting itself as a champion of human rights and democracy while killing civilians, attempting to extradite Julian Assange, and more.
Since the start of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, one of the main focuses is corruption and abuse of the bureaucracy. Many within leadership have been infected with corruption, and they justify the abuses by saying it's for the greater good. In the name of preserving Democracy, they violate norms, procedures, and the Constitution. Even worse, they have used the tools of government to target those with whom they disagree. General Milley is simply the latest example of this corruption, but who do we really have to blame. Perhaps, it's time we look internally to understand how we got to this point. More Information It is Professor Giordano's passion that led him to start The P.A.S. Report. Sick of an activist news media that wants to dictate how to think, Professor Giordano started The P.A.S. Report because of his unique ability to break down complex political issues and explain those issues in a way to appeal to everyday Americans. By introducing facts, a conservative perspective, quality analysis, and some common sense, the listeners can come to their own conclusions. The P.A.S. Report is a rapidly growing conservative podcast. Professor Giordano talks about the issues that matter to you and America. He also has great guests, including Tucker Carlson, Victor Davis Hanson, Dinesh D'Souza, Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, Gad Saad, Dave Rubin, Deroy Murdock, Sharyl Attkisson, Brian Kilmeade, Congressman Lee Zeldin, Gordon Chang, John Yoo, Chuck Woolery, and more. If you're looking for thought-provoking content and common-sense political analysis, you've come to the right place. Give it a shot, and if you like what you hear, please share The P.A.S. Report Podcast with others. Visit https://pasreport.com, and don't forget to share this episode with family and friends.

Some (admittedly) rare praise for the North Carolina media. But, how did so many national media outlets confirm the same story, if that story was wrong? Like her Democratic counterpart Lori Lightfoot before her, Nancy Pelosi follows in the Chicago mayor's footsteps in the 'rules for thee, but not for me' decrees made by the hypocritical Left. A leaked photo shows Pelosi getting her hair done at a salon in California, one that had been closed to the general public prior to her visit. Notoriously, Lightfoot also had a similar hair appointment not allowed to her constituents - and also tried to justify personal security preventing protesters from gathering on the street in front of her home, while they roamed free throughout the rest of the city.
After a long holiday hiatus, Hudson’s Patrick Cronin joins Melanie and Chris in a spirited discussion of U.S. policy toward China. How is this competition like the Cold War with the Soviet Union, and what’s different? What aspects of China’s behavior are most worrisome? What steps can be taken to reduce the likelihood of conflict? Or is a clash, even if it is mostly non-military in nature, inevitable? Patrick gives a shout out to the heroic men and women fighting wildfires in Australia, Melanie expresses her appreciation for Ricky Gervais, and Chris offers kudos to the U.S. press corps. The situation at Ohio State University is not a great look for the university and the football program surrounding head coach Urban Meyer now. So why could Urban Meyer possibly get off with all the issues under his watch, where other people in the same situation but not in college athletics have a more harsh penalty? Len Martez and Zac Blobner share their thoughts on the issue and how OSU should handle this investigation's findings.
David and Tamler take a break from their main jobs as TV critics to talk about a masterpiece in political philosophy: "Two Concepts of Liberty" by Isaiah Berlin. While they both celebrate the style and substance of this classic essay, in a startling twist Tamler praises conceptual analysis and David expresses a few misgivings about his Kantianism. What is the elusive idea of positive liberty, and how can its pursuit lead to totalitarian rule? When is it more important to buy boots than read Russian poetry? And why is David still so depressed by pluralism? Plus, coddling in Wisconsin? And another famous set of social psych studies is accused of biting the dust. Inside this edition of "Without a Curse," Alex talks about some of the adversity the Red Sox are battling, both from an injury and scheduling perspective. The Red Sox are 9-6 in June, and have faced all of the top teams in the American League. They will play the Rays and Tigers this week before interleague play begins, and may do so without ace Clay Buchholz, who could be placed on the DL. Alex says the Red Sox' decision to option Alfredo Aceves to Triple A, instead of outright releasing him, continues to look wiser as time progresses. Mike Napoli missed this past weekend's series against Baltimore with dizziness and nausea, but the Red Sox are hopeful Napoli will return to the lineup tomorrow. Mike Carp stepped in seamlessly at 1B in Napoli's absence, and is the latest example of the "deep depth" the Red Sox have displayed this season. Every team goes through stretches like the Red Sox are going through right now. The good teams survive, and they survive because of the strength of their entire roster. Jose Iglesias now has a 17-game hitting streak, and though Alex still hasn't seen enough to proclaim Iglesias will be the starting shortstop in August, he's seen enough to say Iglesias should be playing over Stephen Drew right now. Iglesias is the better player right now, and should be in the lineup until he cools off. On a more negative note, Jon Lester's struggles continued yesterday, as he allowed five runs in five innings pitched. Is the argument that Lester may not be as good we think he is becoming more viable with each subpar start? In the "Around the League" segment, Alex looks at the AL East standings, where the Yankees' instability seems to finally be hurting them. The Yankees have lost five of their last six games. All Star Game voting is in full swing, and though Yasiel Puig hasn't even been up in the major leagues for a month, Alex says he has to be featured in the midsummer classic.
