The 2016 presidential election and what happened after are under scrutiny again, as the Department of Justice opens a grand jury investigation into the Obama-era probe of Russian interference. Back in July, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified intelligence about the investigation into the Trump campaign, arguing that it would expose manipulation and possible treason by Democrats and Obama White House Officials. Sunday Night in America host and former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy joined FOX News Rundown host Dave Anthony this week to discuss the investigation and look back at the events during and after the 2016 election that are still in question. Gowdy explained why he never believed the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians, and why he thinks officials in the intelligence community, including former CIA Director John Brennan, lied under oath and to the American people about the “Russiagate” conspiracy. The Trey Gowdy Podcast host went as far as to say it was the Democrats and the Clinton Campaign who colluded with the Russians, and they intentionally tried to undermine President Trump's first term. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with Trey Gowdy and get even more of his thoughts on what he thinks really happened during the 2016 election. Sunday Night in America host Trey Gowdy joins to discuss the investigation and why "there's no expiration date on the truth." The Trump administration's recent escalation of reciprocal and universal tariffs on multiple countries threatens to increase costs for many of America's small businesses. Bobby Griggs, vice president of sales at Heritage Steel, says his company is doing the impossible: maintaining reasonable prices while increasing sales. Bobby joins the Rundown to discuss the potential advantages for manufacturers to "produce in America" and how tariffs have forced overseas companies to turn to US facilities to meet the moment. Gowdy breaks Governor Abbott's legal options for expelling them from the State House, and the real-world chances of bribery charges being filed to compel their return. In this fiery commentary, the host unloads on the financial media's blind allegiance to Democrat-aligned figures like Jamie Dimon, highlighting how their repeated economic doomsday forecasts—particularly around Trump-era tariffs and recession fears—missed the mark again and again. Despite consistently being wrong, the same media-approved "experts" like Trey Gowdy and Andrew McCarthy are brought back for analysis, even after botching key narratives like the Russia collusion hoax. Meanwhile, voices who get it right are ignored. With sharp criticism of institutional hypocrisy and media groupthink, this segment challenges who really writes the rules about who we're “allowed” to believe.

While Democrat approval ratings fell to a 35-year low, President Trump successfully cinched a trade deal with the EU, paving the way for years of productive trade between the two nations, but controversy surrounding the Epstein files continues to overshadow the President's successes. USA Today Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page, FOX News Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, and Host of 'The Trey Gowdy Podcast,' Trey Gowdy, discuss President Trump's recent agreement with the EU, President Trump's gradual transition from “America First” to “Dealmaker in Chief,” and the political consequences of a potential Ghislaine Maxwell pardon. This explosive segment revisits the narrowly avoided Trans-Pacific Partnership and slams the Bush-era globalist push to surrender U.S. trade and immigration sovereignty to unelected international bureaucrats. With sharp criticism of Republican leaders like Trey Gowdy, Tim Scott, and Mitch McConnell, the host celebrates Trump's EU trade deal—hailed by the French Prime Minister as “total submission”—as a triumph of America-first policy. Also covered: how tariffs could replace the income tax, the media's bias in mass shooting coverage, and how Trump's actions revealed the failures of past leadership and awakened Americans to what real advocacy looks like.

On Sunday night, devastating news came out of Idaho, as Americans learned that a gunman opened fire on firefighters responding to a call — ultimately killing two of them. Because the heinous news broke during 'Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,' the interviews he had prepared weren't aired as breaking news rightfully took priority. So today, Trey chose three conversations that didn't make it to air to share — ones that dive into a range of key issues in the country. First, Trey speaks with CIA Director John Ratcliffe about the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, and how badly Iran's nuclear program was damaged by U.S. strikes. Later, he speaks with Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Congressman Jason Smith (R-MO) about whether he believes the 'big, beautiful bill' will end up on President Trump's desk by July 4th, and welcomes U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to break down major Supreme Court decisions recently made in Washington. As anti-ICE protests persist in Los Angeles, California Governor Gavin Newsom is working to regain control of the thousands of National Guard and Marine Corps troops deployed in the city. Both he and LA Mayor Karen Bass have attributed the violence at the demonstrations to the military's presence. Meanwhile, President Trump argues that he has saved the City of Angels from being destroyed. Florida Senator Ashley Moody (R-FL) joins the Rundown to discuss the crackdown on illegal immigration and border security. The shocking execution of a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband has left politicians across the nation scrambling for answers and assurances about their own personal security details. While authorities have the suspected gunman in custody, this act of political violence strikes an uncomfortably familiar tone to political assassination attempts in previous months. Former federal prosecutor and four-term congressman Trey Gowdy joins the Rundown to analyze the psychological motivations of the suspected killer and addresses the rise in inflammatory rhetoric that may be fueling these acts. House Republicans have successfully united to set the stage for President Donald Trump's proposed 'One Big Beautiful Bill.' House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has once again navigated a significant piece of legislation with a slim majority in the House. FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram joins to break down the latest developments from Congress. Nearly two dozen states have filed lawsuits against President Trump's executive order titled "Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections." This order includes mandatory proof of citizenship or a voter ID, as well as requirements for states to cooperate with the Department of Justice on election fraud-related cases. Former Congressman, host of Sunday Night in America, and host of the Trey Gowdy Podcast, Trey Gowdy, joined the Rundown earlier this week to discuss how the continuous legal challenges the President faces could disrupt the balance among the three branches of government. President Donald Trump's attempt to regulate federal elections and require proof of citizenship to vote is just one of the many orders being challenged in the courts. Republicans say Democrats and ‘radical' judges are using the legal system to block his agenda and are now trying to pass legislation that would put limits on how much power federal courts have. Former Congressman and Federal Prosecutor recently joined host Dave Anthony to discuss the President's hope to reform elections and all the legal fights the administration has faced since taking office. The FOX News Contributor understood Trump's desire to change our election systems and agreed that lower-level federal judges have too much power. He also called for Congress to take more action and correct what he sees as an uneven balance of power currently in Washington. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with FOX News' Trey Gowdy and let you hear even more of his unique take on the debate over elections and ‘judicial activism'. President-Elect Trump's historic win last week was notable for many reasons, including his ability to win over voters in historically blue states and an array of minority voters. What do these results say about how Americans feel about the country and what they want moving forward? And after an incredibly polarizing election cycle, is there potential for a second Trump Administration to bring Americans back together, despite many Democrats' disdain for the 45th, and now 47th, President of the United States? Martha sits down with host of Fox News' Sunday Night in America and 'The Trey Gowdy Podcast,' Trey Gowdy to analyze last week's election results, how a second Trump Administration may differ from the first, and why it's crucial Americans aim to come together despite having different politics. Story #1: Former President Donald Trump 'calls for the execution of Liz Cheney' (no he didn't). The FCC says NBC violated the equal time doctrine and President Obama once again repeats the lie that President Trump called Neo Nazis very fine people. No matter what happens tomorrow, this election should be the death knell of legacy mainstream media. Story #2: Swimming and drowning in poll numbers and early voting data. What on earth is actually going on? As Democrats celebrated Vice President Kamala Harris' strong debate performance on Tuesday, the GOP were quick to criticize the ABC News moderators as ‘biased.' While the moderators did focus all their fact-checking efforts on the former President, Trump campaign allies still concede that President Trump was unfocused and missed key opportunities to both attack the Biden-Harris administration's record and appeal to swing state voters. Former South Carolina Congressman and host of Fox News' Sunday Night in America, Trey Gowdy, reacts to this week's presidential debate, breaking down the need for the Trump campaign to prepare the former President for “3-on-1” debates with media bias, opportunities missed to call out Harris' record, and what the Trump campaign must focus on next to win. Alabama Senator Katie Britt (R) is the youngest Republican woman ever elected to the Senate. She was just 40 years old when she won in 2022. Britt joins the podcast to discuss her book, “God Calls Us to Do Hard Things: Lessons of Faith, Family, and Leading from the Heart," why she entered politics, and why she believes her party will win back control of Congress and the White House this fall. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- Venezuela autocrat Nicolas Maduro has been “elected” to his third consecutive six-year term as president. According to reports, Maduro won 51% of the final vote though there were, unsurprisingly, numerous irregularities which have led many to question the legitimacy of the results. Notably, the Biden-Harris administration limited sanctions on Venezuela and the Maduro regime in exchange for fair elections. It certainly doesn't seem like policy worked. 3:10pm- Kamala Harris' Prosecutorial Failures: In 2019, Vice news wrote “Jamal Trulove...was wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to 50 years to life in prison, despite no physical evidence linking him to the crime. Trulove recalls then San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris ‘showed up at the two most pivotal times…she wanted to be present for a celebration of a conviction.' He was eventually exonerated and freed after over six years in prison, and won $13.1 million from the city of San Francisco.” You can read more here: https://www.vice.com/en/article/3azy98/kamala-harriss-office-sent-this-innocent-man-to-prison-now-hes-voting-for-her 3:15pm- While appearing on Fox News with Trey Gowdy, former Democrat Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard explained that Kamala Harris is more dangerous than Joe Biden—because she is an “ideologue.” 3:20pm- Packing the Supreme Court: In a newly recirculated clip, Kamala Harris says she is open to expanding the size of the Supreme Court. 3:30pm- Democrats have unveiled a new line of attack to hammer Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance—“he's weird!” Governor JB Pritzker (D-IL), Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI), Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA), and Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) all echoed the same criticism of Vance while appearing on television over the weekend. 3:45pm- Tommy Pigott—Strategic Communications Director for the Republican National Committee—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss Kamala Harris' past pledge to ban fracking. How will that impact her campaign in Pennsylvania specifically? Plus, a new Washington Post story warns that it could take days for Pennsylvania to declare a winner in the presidential race. 3:55pm- Secret Service Security Failures: Haley Willis, Aric Toler, David A. Fahrenthold, and Adam Goldman write: “Nearly 100 minutes before former President Donald J. Trump took the stage in Butler, Pa., a local countersniper who was part of the broader security detail let his colleagues know his shift was ending. ‘Guys I am out. Be safe,' he texted to a group of colleagues at 4:19 p.m. on July 13. He exited the second floor of a warehouse that overlooked the campaign rally site, leaving two other countersnipers behind. Outside, the officer noticed a young man with long stringy hair sitting on a picnic table near the warehouse. So at 4:26 p.m., he texted his colleagues about the man, who was outside the fenced area of the Butler Fair Show grounds where Mr. Trump was to appear. He said that the person would have seen him come out with his rifle and ‘knows you guys are up there.' The countersniper who sent the texts confirmed to The New York Times that the individual he saw was later identified as the gunman.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/28/us/politics/trump-shooting-thomas-crooks-secret-service.html
