The Puppet Master - In a government career spent identifying and hunting down spies, terrorists, and other enemies of the United States, Chris became a master at the skill sets behind "Human Chess." As a student of human nature, he learned how to interpret acts, add context and understanding, and shape the actions of others. Chris discreetly - and sometimes not so discreetly - manipulated them. He got them to do not what they wanted, but rather what he wanted them to do. In time, Chris could even predict specific acts they were going to take as well as when they intended to conduct said act. His expertise in manipulating people and their environments earned me the nickname, "The Puppet Master." That said, during his government service, he only used these unique skills to, as he explained to his children, "do bad things to bad people." In reality, Chris didn't do anything bad - he simply brought justice to those who sought to harm others. He has now "re-purposed" the tools and insights he learned during a lifetime of catching spies and interrogating terrorists to help you get more out of life. By better understanding ourselves and others, all things become possible, both personally and professionally. - http://humanchessdotorg.wordpress.comFor Your Listening Pleasure for these Lockdown / Stay-At-Home COVID and Variants Times - For all the radio shows available on The 'X' Zone Broadcast Network visit - https://www.spreaker.com/user/xzoneradiotv.Our radio shows archives and programming include: A Different Perspective with Kevin Randle; Alien Cosmic Expo Lecture Series; Alien Worlds Radio Show; America's Soul Doctor with Ken Unger; Back in Control Radio Show with Dr. David Hanscom, MD; Connecting with Coincidence with Dr. Bernard Beitman, MD; Dick Tracy; Dimension X; Exploring Tomorrow Radio Show; Flash Gordon; Imagine More Success Radio Show with Syndee Hendricks and Thomas Hydes; Jet Jungle Radio Show; Journey Into Space; Know the Name with Sharon Lynn Wyeth; Lux Radio Theatre - Classic Old Time Radio; Mission Evolution with Gwilda Wiyaka; Paranormal StakeOut with Larry Lawson; Ray Bradbury - Tales Of The Bizarre; Sci Fi Radio Show; Seek Reality with Roberta Grimes; Space Patrol; Stairway to Heaven with Gwilda Wiyaka; The 'X' Zone Radio Show with Rob McConnell; Two Good To Be True with Justina Marsh and Peter Marsh; and many other! That's The ‘X' Zone Broadcast Network Shows and Archives - https://www.spreaker.com/user/xzoneradiotv

In this week’s books podcast Sam is joined by Owen Matthews to talk about the man many have claimed was the greatest spy of the 20th century, Richard Sorge, the subject of Owen’s riveting new book An Impeccable Spy (reviewed in the new issue of The Spectator by Nicholas Shakespeare). Sorge (he’s pronounced 'zorgey', by the way — not, as I introduce the podcast, idiot that I am, 'sawj'). Here was a man who supplied information that changed the course of the Second World War — and far from being the sort of glum duffelcoated figure who populates Le Carre’s “Circus” — he really did lead an existence of James Bondish extravagance. He played the Germans off against the Japanese, all for the benefit of the Russians — and did so while drinking like a fish, seducing every woman he crossed paths with, waving around samurai swords and roaring about on a motorbike. Owen has the low-down on this “bad man who became a great spy”. Literary interviews and discussions on the latest releases in the world of publishing, from poetry through to physics.
