fWotD Episode 2881: Flotilla (video game) Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia’s finest articles. The featured article for Tuesday, 25 March 2025 is Flotilla (video game).Flotilla is a 2010 turn-based strategy space combat video game developed by Brendon Chung's studio, Blendo Games. The game was released in March 2010 on Steam for Microsoft Windows and on Xbox Live Indie Games for the Xbox 360. Flotilla was designed with Microsoft's XNA tools, and its development was influenced by animals as well as board games such as Axis and Allies and Arkham Horror. The game takes the player in an adventure through a randomly generated galaxy.Chung began developing Flotilla immediately after the closure of Pandemic Studios, where he had worked as a designer. The new game used assets imported from Chung's early space combat prototype, Space Piñata. Flotilla incorporates several pieces of classical music in its score, such as Chopin's "Raindrop" prelude. It received mixed reviews from video game media outlets, scoring 72 out of 100 on review aggregate website Metacritic, and was included in Mike Rose's book 250 Indie Games You Must Play. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 01:13 UTC on Tuesday, 25 March 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Flotilla (video game) on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm standard Aditi.

Blake Lively and Troy Bolton's dad are released. Mikey C still has his own teeth. Kata and Mike spent the weekend together paintballing and snuggling through the conference championship games. Breast implants can get sick. Teeth are great gifts. The American medical system is on the brain, and so are the divisional football games! There has never been a more retired man than Jason Kelce. We are happy for lots of men, and sad for others. Jordan Love has a nice butt. And Mike and Kata get paintball tips from Mikey C. On 11 September 1970, 16 U.S. soldiers and 110 Montagnards from Hatchet Company B were sent deep into the Laotian jungle in support of a CIA team, during the Vietnam War. Over the next four days, they were continually attacked by overwhelming numbers of NVA. If it wasn't for the air support of helicopter pilots like Barry Pencek, they wouldn't have escaped alive. Twenty years in a special report CNN characterized this mission as a vicious attack on civilians resulting in a scandal that was later disproved, and resulted in the team medic's Mike Rose receiving a Medal of Honor. Mikey C's toothache persists, Kata enjoyed the Emmys, and all it took was a safety to break Rosie's fever. This week, the team breaks down the wild card weekend in all its glory. The group chat was HOT and BOTHERED this week, and not in a particularly sexy way. We preview next week's relationship-themed conversation, and then get into a week of drama across the football landscape, fueled by retirements, firings and cancellations. Finally, things heat up as Wild Card Weekend encroaches. It's a sassy, short week at UFR, people. Buckle up! Slide into our DMs or shoot us an email to say hi or ask a question: helloufr@gmail.com. Happy New Year! A lotta wild nonsense went down this week. Mikey C still doesn't feel good, but that's not news! Kata recaps the first excitement she has ever experienced while watching college football. Aaron Rodgers couldn't fight the gays if he tried. Russ has rizz, the Lions non-win SENT us, Mike Rose continues to put his Eagles down like a bad boyfriend, and it's the last week of the regular season! Fantasy football is over, so in our withdrawals, we make some really spicyspice picks this week. It's anyone's game with the kids of UFR. Kata and Mike are holding down the fort this week, and Mike returns to NYC from his tour. Mikey C is sick… or is he…? We loved having so much football over the long weekend, and can't wait for more upcoming. Finally, Mike Brown joins us as our guest picker this week, as we encroach on the playoffs. Mikey C is PROMOTED. Rosie is gambling. And most importantly, our guest, Santa, doesn't know what fantasy football is. Football was absolutely smashed this week. And next week, well, it's anyone's guess. We asked Santa what we can promote for him. He said kindness. Be kind. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, friends. Football is broken, and so are some basic kitchen appliances. Mike Rose is almost as famous as Tommy DeVito. We're in couch time for the playoffs, and there were some games this week that made us cringe, swoon, and wile about. And the playoff picture is confusing as we look ahead at how Super Bowl contender predictions have played out. Slide into our DMs or shoot us an email to say hi or ask a question: helloufr@gmail.com. Mikey C has some words for Rosie on the Niners/Eagles game last week. Personnel changes are fast and furious in Carolina, so The Charlotte Observer's Scott Fowler joins us for the drama. Mike Rose, a senior loan officer with TowneBank Mortgage, joins the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast for its 12th-anniversary episode to share an overview of the mortgage company. On the All About Real Estate segment, Rose sits down with host Carol Morgan to discuss special promotional programs offered by TowneBank Mortgage and how to use the company's mobile app. Rose is a rare Atlanta native born and raised in the area, and he currently resides with his family in Dunwoody. Before transitioning into the mortgage industry, Rose had a long-time career in radio broadcasting – starting at the Georgia State University radio station and making his way up to WGST, working with well-known radio and TV personalities such as Clark Howard, Neal Boortz and Sean Hannity. In October 2003, Rose began his journey in the mortgage business and has never looked back! Rose said, “I have seen lots of ups and downs in the mortgage business over the last 20 years.” TowneBank is a regional bank with branches in Virginia and North Carolina. Founded in 1999, TowneBank began in a garage when a few bankers came together to start a community-based banking institution that focused heavily on customer service. TowneBank is now one of the largest banks in Virginia, expanding into North Carolina. Rose said, “TowneBank is an amazing institution!” Named the 16th overall mortgage lender in the United States, TowneBank Mortgage is the mortgage lending division of TowneBank. While TowneBank is only located in Virginia and North Carolina, TowneBank Mortgage expands throughout the Southeast with loan officers in Georgia, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. Rose explains that everyone at TowneBank Mortgage, from the loan officers to the underwriters, works together as a team to provide the best experience for their clients. Rose said, “What attracted me to TowneBank Mortgage was the passion every single employee had towards their job.” Prioritizing benefiting the consumer, TowneBank Mortgage offers multiple incentives for working with the lending company, including special promotional programs. Currently, the company offers a buy now, refinance later program that allows clients to buy a property and refinance the home when rates decrease with a 1% credit towards closing costs or $3,000 – whichever is higher. TowneBank Mortgage also has an HFA 100% financing program and low-down payment opportunities. Making communication between consumers and loan officers a breeze, TowneBank Mortgage has a mobile app that provides easy access to loan applications, document uploading and mortgage updates. The TowneBank Mortgage mobile app can also be downloaded and used by real estate agents involved in the home buying process to help continue clear and smooth communication. Tune into the full interview above to learn more about TowneBank Mortgage, or visit www.TowneBankMortgage.com. A special thank you to TowneBank Mortgage for sponsoring Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Realtor with Keller Williams Atlanta North Mariam DePriest and Senior Loan Officer Mike Rose with TowneBank Mortgage join the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast to share an overview of the real estate agency and its Live Luxury Division. DePriest and Rose sit down to chat with host Carol Morgan on the All About Real Estate segment. Before pursuing a career in real estate, DePriest studied broadcasting and worked as a news anchor, broadcaster and radio host before pivoting to advertising and marketing sales. DePriest dove headfirst into the real estate realm after 20 years in the sales industry to pursue a career she always held a passion for. Coming from similar backgrounds and pathways, DePriest and Rose attended the same high school in Atlanta and pursued careers in the broadcasting industry before transitioning to real estate. Located in East Cobb, Keller Williams Atlanta North is known as one of the first Keller Williams offices in the Southeast and a strong competitor in the area. Keller Williams Atlanta North is one of five officers under Broker and Operating Principal Jean Rawls and is the top producer in metro Atlanta with approximately 305 talented Realtors guided by Team Leader Jim Alexander. DePriest said, “We are among one of the most highly productive Keller Williams offices in the Southeast!” Mentioning the incredible works of Co-Owner of Keller Williams Kay Evans and the impact she has made on the real estate industry, DePriest goes on to explain that Keller Williams currently holds the top spots in luxury living, which is greatly due to Evans' creation of the Live Luxury division of the Keller Williams brand. The Live Luxury division provides unbeatable resources for luxury sellers who work with properties worth $750,000 and above, including a large percentage of Atlanta homes. DePriest said, “Kay Evans is one of the most incredible women I've ever known in my life and is one of the reasons Keller Williams is making such an exceptional stamp in luxury.” As an Atlanta native, DePriest has a deeply rooted connection to the area's marketplace. While DePriest's consumer base is relatively large, she tends to work with individuals within her age bracket, ranging in their 50s or 60s, who are middle-luxury buyers within the northern arc of Atlanta, Buckhead, Midtown and Decatur. Doing it all, DePriest sells everything from a $45,000 piece of land to a $3 million home and has built an outstanding client list based solely on referrals. DePriest said, “By loving the families that are in our sandwiched generation of taking care of older parents and still helping launch younger college kids, I feel so lucky that I can do it all…I am so protective of all my clients! They can tell how hard I work and how much I care.” Tune into the full interview above to learn more about Keller Williams Atlanta North or visit www.AtlantaNorth.YourKWOffice.com.
