S&P Futures are trading slightly positive this morning as markets digest the recent earnings report from NVDA.NVDA had a good quarter as AI demand remains strong. The White House removed CDC director Monarez after disagreements with RFK Jr. Two key economic data points before the bell today, Jobless Claims and the 2nd estimated of Q2 GDP. PCE data is scheduled for tomorrow. Markets continue to expect a rate cut at the September meeting. Seeing strong gains in PSTG, SNOW, TCOM and BURL after earnings releases. After the bell today DELL, ADSK, MRVL, AFRM, ULTA, ESTC will be reporting. Tomorrow morning, BABA is scheduled to report.

S&P Futures are weakening this morning following Friday's strong gains that were sparked by dovish comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell at the Jackson Hole event. Markets are pricing in a 25 basis point interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve in September 2025, with expectations for a similar 25 basis point cut in December. President Trump to meet with the President of South Korea today with trade agreement and regional security in focus. On Friday, President Trump said that he would be launching a major tariff investigation into furniture imports coming into the United States.  Over the weekend he called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to revoke the broadcast licenses of ABC and NBC, accusing them of biased coverage against him and labeling them as "fake news" networks. S&P Futures are displaying strong gains this morning after a federal court struck down President Trump's tariff agenda. The Court of International Trade ruled that Trump had overstepped his authority by imposing broad, across-the-board duties and issued a permanent injunction blocking enforcement of the contested tariffs.  Trump retains legal options to try to reimpose tariffs, though these alternatives may face their own legal and political hurdles.  The Trump administration has ordered chip-design software makers to stop selling to China. On the economic front today are reports on GDP & Jobless Claims. Earnings will be a key focus today. NVDA, CRM, A, ELF, BURL & FUTU are higher after their reports. This afternoon, COST, DELL, MRVL, XS, ULTA and GAP will be reporting.

Marvell (MRVL) sold off more than 40% so far in 2025, but WIlliam Kerwin calls the company a "long-term winner" in the A.I. space. He tells investors to listen for commentary from the CEO that signals strong guidance. R. "Ray" Wang says Marvell is in "recovery" but can rebuild its stock price if data center revenue swells. There are two important economic reports due out today, the Durable Goods & Consumer Confidence reports which are both expected to come in weak. The U.S. & Iranian talks ended with both sides agreeing to continue discussions. M&A action is heating up, CRM is back in in talks to acquire INFA & President Trump indicated he will support Nippon's offer to buy U.S. Steel. On the earning front there are a host of key earnings announcements due out this week from M, DKS, HPQ, A, CRM, NVDA, BBY, BURL, ULTA, ZS, MRVL, DELL & COST.

From the Moody's credit downgrade to Fed speakers, Chris says the U.S. central bank "still has things to digest" as investors look for rate cut guidance. S&P Futures are moving higher this morning as Commerce Sec indicated that the Trump Administration may announce a tariff reduction on Canada and Mexico today. European markets are displaying a strong upside move on new spending plans out of Germany. China talked stimulus action in the Two Sessions meeting. Trumps address to a joint session of Congress did not provide any new details of his economic plan and did not indicate a possible tariff reduction announcement on Canada and Mexico. CRWD earnings announcement disappointed the markets and shares are lower. After the bell today, MRVL, VEEV, ZS & MDB are scheduled to release. Jazz Pharmaceuticals to acquire Chimerix for $8.55 per share. evening. ECB rate announcement is scheduled for tomorrow. Congress remains challenged to advert a government shutdown next week as funding runs out on March 14th.
