For at least nine months in the twelve, the people of this rare old town live out of doors nearly all the waking hours of the twenty-four. For the remaining three months of the year, December, January, and February, they delude themselves into the notion that they are having a winter, when they gather around a winter-time hearth and listen to imaginary wind-roarings in the chimney, and see through the panes fictitious and spectral snow-storms, and dream that they are housed so snug and warm. But when the day comes the sun is shining and there is no trace of white on the ground, and the grass is green and there are industrious buds breaking out of cover, and the earth is sleeping very lightly. Open-eyed, the youngsters sit by these December firesides and listen to their elders tell of the snow-storms in the long ago that came so very, very deep, when snowballs were flying in the streets, and the earth was white, and the 'banquettes,' or sidewalks, were ankle-deep in slush. February 4, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 89 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the seemingly decline in excitement and media coverage when it comes to Super Bowl LX. While only a handful of coaching staff hires has been made official by the team as of Wednesday morning, Alex and I discuss the reports that now indicate that Brian Angelichio will likely be the team's new offensive coordinator and Domata Peko the new defensive line coach. We also address the reported news that two staff interviewees, Scott Tolzien and Chase Haslett, are reportedly staying with the New Orleans Saints. Is there some sort of prior history between QB Aaron Rodgers and new coaching staff member Frank Cignetti Jr. that could result in the former not wanting to return to Pittsburgh in 2026? We attempt to answer that question/narrative that seems to now be making the rounds since our Monday show. Former Steelers running backs coach Eddie Faulkner is reportedly joining the coaching staff of the Baltimore Ravens, so we address that news. We also talk about the seemingly strong coaching staff that new Ravens HC Jesse Minter seems to be assembling. The NFLPA held their annual Super Bowl press conference on Tuesday, so Alex and I discuss a few main talking points that came out of that media session. We talk about the probability of an 18-game regular season in the NFL and how more emphasis on better playing surfaces in stadiums is likely to happen very soon. Steelers DT Cameron Heyward is making the rounds ahead of Super Bowl LX on radio row this week, so Alex and I go over a few comments he has made about his playing future. On Tuesday, we learned that Detroit Lions fan involved in a December altercation with Steelers WR DK Metcalf has brought a $100 million defamation lawsuit against the player, the organization, and others. With that news being fresh, Alex and I give our thoughts on that having any chance of succeeding. This 96-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we make sure to read and answer a few emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
