Two years after graduating from Harvard with a degree in Applied Math, I quit my corporate job to travel the world with my then girlfriend for 5 years. Together we visited over 60 countries. Our team is 20 people strong and we work on cool problems. I've been on dozens of podcasts and my style is always to be engaging, energetic, and transparent - often focusing more on the realities and the failures than the highlights. NinjaOutreach was a 4 year startup SaaS for founder Dave Schneider. He and a co-founder worked with this idea for years, developing an MVP and then improving it until the opportunity to sell the product came along. Dave's story is unlike the typical "We're perfect and did everything right" tale you'll hear spun by most SaaS founders. In this episode of the Cold Star Project you'll hear honesty about capabilities, marketing, churn and more that will make you sit up and take notice of what it really takes to succeed in the SaaS world. While other founders will give you a snow job about how well they're doing and the performance of their product, Dave Schneider steps up to the plate to share the reality of what the SaaS experience is like for a whole lot of founders who choose this path. Dave Schneider is the co-founder of Ninja Outreach, which is an all-purpose influencer marketing tool. In 2012, Dave quit his corporate job to travel, and his first online experience came from documenting his travels on a blog. He has made a living online ever since. More of Dave's insights and expertise can be found on his current blog at NinjaOutreach.com.

I just discovered Ninja Outreach. This is a tool that allows you to type in a subject and it returns the top influencers around that subject. You can filter the results on MANY different variables to get just the list you need. You can then setup a template and contact these people. There is even a browser extension that allows you to use those forms right on their website (more than likely on their contact page). No need to copy and paste, everything is right there in your browser saving you time and making it easy. Here is a quick tutorial from the founder.
When a Google algorithm change completely diminished Dave Schneider’s business, he had to ask a question. What’s next? So he looked at his own experience and realized his secret weapon in building his business was the ability to expand his network by reaching out to influencers. He realized this is something that could be automated and enhanced, so he got to work and built a new business, Ninja Outreach. Now Ninja Outreach is a trusted tool for marketers and entrepreneurs, and Dave is continuing to grow it. In this interview Dave talks about some of the ways entrepreneurs can reach out and grow their network. He also shares his story of building the new company.
