Today, Bryant destroys the most deceitful fear that keeps all of us from the success and happiness that we rightfully deserve. Show Transcript:greetings programs and welcome back to the brian chambers movement. It's been a minute since we've had the chance to rap and I wanted to fix that. Still recovering from surgery. I'm starting to get the full feeling back in my whole hand now. I still have a little bit of numbness in my thumb. No longer wearing a cast though. I got that off yesterday, so we're starting to get better. I'm actually out here from my first uh easy day workout after surgery. That's not true. I worked out the day of surgery full of anesthesia, doing a cut the hike short, I think only one a mile and a half. But I was like, I gotta walk and my body is, my brain is going fucking nuts. I gotta get out there on the trail. So I did. It's funny. I had a comment on one of my videos talking about the surgery. The lady saying, just make sure I know you have to work out, but no workout today. Actually brought her back. I got tic tac toe and was like, hey, I already worked out. She was like a maniac. Like I told you all that nobody should be surprised. But that's not exactly what I wanted to circle the wagons with you today. I want to circle the wagons with you because I want to encourage you about something very specific. Uh, and it's something that everybody encounters it myself included. It made me think of you specifically in that most of the people that I'm helping, especially in the business world and in the artist world and the warriors out there. Kind of my demographic of folks, each of us and I'm gonna say us because I'm not unique. I'm a struggle differently. I may struggle to less of a degree, but I'm still in there. Each of us struggles with subconscious parts of us thinking and worrying that we may not be enough to accomplish the mission. God is what is here to do. So the encouragement of this message today, I'm gonna give you the spoiler alert, I'm gonna give you the end of the movie before the end and then we'll go on the journey. You are enough. Now, that doesn't mean you're not going to need help. That doesn't mean you're not gonna need people on your team and a tribe and others looking out for you and resources. But it does mean that everything you need to accomplish your mission, you either have it or at the very least you have the capacity to pick it up and learn it if you can get somebody to help you. And that's what you got to know. You know, I titled this podcast the way I did, which is interesting too because sometimes I'll get a title for a podcast before I'll get the real idea for it. And then sometimes like what this isn't Today is an example of that where all I had was the title No Notes, no Book, no reference. It's just the title. It's not a good thing necessarily to do in public speaking, but it is good on a radio show why? Because people are distracted and tuned out. If you're constantly giving their brains something new to tap into, but keeping it tied to an overall theme, you're essentially doing the same thing. This is my theory from me studying people in doing media. This is not a fact, this is just my observations, You're doing the same thing tv companies do to you when they do cuts every seven seconds, so go watch teenage mutant ninja turtles. Any episode doesn't matter, start counting to seven, I promise you the picture changes before you get to seven. And the reason why that happens is because we're trying to keep these kids addicted to watching the show and one of the easiest ways to get humans to keep paying attention to you is to change what they're seeing. I just gave everybody making videos, $1000 tip for your social media, change what's happening in the pictures guys, make sure you're doing that. Support the show (https://patreon.com/bryantchambers)

For the first "No Notes" show of 2021, Edwardo and Hudds welcome the Beard back for another round of commentary that centers largely around Wheel of Fortune (WOF) host Pat Sajak and a handful of long pauses. This is the best episode note Edwardo could come up with on short notice. Basically people are trying to cancel Pat Sajak via twitter and we have things to say about it.

This week, let's have a look at a book I've just finished called, "The heart of communication: how to really connect with an audience". The author is Rob Parsons, formerly director at "Executive Chairman of Care for the Family, a charity committed to strengthening family life and helping others who are hurting due to family breakdown." I'm going to be sparing in my comments here about the details of the book and why I read it. The reason for being brief here is because I will be using the book as the basis for the next series of Tuesday Teaching Tips beginning next Tuesday, 24th November 2020. If you want the detail, you can tune in to those when they come out week by week. One of the reasons I picked up the book was because Rob Parsons has spoken extensively not only in a Christian context but also in the other side of his life - the business world. I am aware of the fact that my approach to speaking can be blinkered. If I do not learn from the wider gamut of speaking contexts I fear I may miss concepts and techniques which might help me connect better with those to whom I speak. Rob Parsons is entirely correct when he suggests that the heart of communication is our ability to connect. We are not simply people who share information, we are those who wish to connect with the deeper needs of those who listen to us. Book Structure You will see from the chapter list below, that our author nicely combines practicality with the motivation and deeper meaning of our attempts to communicate. 1 Find One Thing That Can Make a Difference 2 Your Talk: Credibility, Content and Soul 3 Remember You Are Talking to Ordinary People 4 How to Really Connect with an Audience 5 Discover the Power of Stories 6 Trade Length for Effectiveness 7 Create a Sense of Intimacy 8 Notes or No Notes? 9 Minimise Distractions 10 PowerPoint Pros and Cons 11 Sound Matters 12 Optimise the Seating 13 Learn to Handle Your Critics 14 The Music, a Little Humility and the Hardest Task of All – Ending! As I mentioned earlier, I shall be recording a series of Teaching Tips based on his book starting next week. Tune in to those if you'd like to know more. I think it's a terrific little book. Deep but not complex. Packed with useful stuff but not long. I recommend it to any and everyone involved in public speaking. Please add your comments on this week’s topic. We learn best when we learn in community. Do you have a question about teaching the Bible? Is it theological, technical, practical? Send me your questions or suggestions. Charlie breaks down a contentious day two of the Senate's SCOTUS confirmation hearing for Judge Amy Coney Barrett. Charlie runs through some of the most memorable moments, some of the most ridiculous lines of questioning, and debunks the Democrats' favorite attack lines including the Indiana-Chicago gun violence myth and ACB's supposed hostility toward the ACA while unpacking what lawyers and politicians mean by the legislative concept of "severability."

Today's episode is with my 'in real life' friend, Leslie Hollowell. You may remember Leslie from Episode 6, right after I had just started the podcast! On that episode, she shared part of her story of journeying through embryo adoption. Leslie has a unique story in that before she was married, God called her out as a school teacher into full time ministry with teen girls. She has a heart for discipleship, mentoring, teaching, and encouraging young women to follow after God with all their hearts. Today we will be chatting about what mentoring looks like when you have young children and that it doesn't have to be overwhelming. I am thrilled to be able to share the conversation that Leslie and I were able to have one morning sitting at my kitchen table. I literally had NO NOTES and let the Lord lead our words. After listening, you will feel refreshed, encouraged, and ready to GO and walk in what God has called you to do! That is our prayer. ------------------------------ Find all the Show Notes at: www.wrenrobbins.com/podcast109 or Sign up for my mailing list and you can get the Show Notes in your inbox every Tuesday www.wrenrobbins.com I would love to connect with you on social media! Hey kids! On this week's episode of the MoronGaming podcast, there were no show notes at all. Silly life obligations got in the way, but fret not, we still manage to have a healthy discussion about video game things. Things like Epic's new survival basey buildy thingy known as Fortnite, Andy's thoughts on PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds after having played for nearly 40 hours and why people get so salty about micro-transactions. Download, subscribe and share us with your friends! it would help us out significantly!

This is one of the very few shows that we've recorded without putting together any host notes. We just share an enjoyable conversation. Miraculously, Surface AIO, Word Flow for iOS, Cerulean Mobile, HP Elite X3, and Microsoft Ignite do manage to work their way into the show. Below are the details. Enjoy! Vernon reminisces about the Glance and Go podcast episode with Sean Johnson in which he had to re-record an entire episode because he powered off his PC. Hear "Passing The WinPhan Baton" here. The phrase "Poop in a group" rears its ugly head. Graphics Interchange Format debate returns. Our polarized opinions of the topic turn to a surprisingly mild, polite, and politically-correct argument. Somehow we discuss iTunes reviews. Speaking of that, please take a moment to give us a review! Side note: Choosy moms and choosy dads choose Jif. Fortunately for you, we did actually talk about an upcoming Microsoft product, and we even have an inside tip on it! (Surface AIO) Is a smartphone an all-in-one device? David empties his download folder. Somehow we make a useful (you decide) conversation out of it. Vernon's download folder sulks away in shame. Wharton Brooks' Cerulean Mobile is still having a meetup, but it has been postponed. If you are interested, be sure to follow and engage with them on Twitter @CeruleanMobile What specs do Windows Mobile enthusiasts need to be satisfied with their phone? Vernon forgets which laptop he wants. We both discuss what we need in a laptop, which was obviously not something we prepared for. Anyone have an extra Dell XPS 13 they need to liberate? Is the HP Elite X3 a good enough device? Should it be reviewed "as-is", or is waiting for the update a fair thing to do? Elon Musk's automobile line makes a quick cameo. The Microsoft Ignite Conference is happening, September 25th through the 2 Surface Smiths will be interviewing Windows Insiders at the conference! Vernon will be attending as a member of the press We share a pure unadulterated geek moment. Old cheese product versus old real cheddar. There is no contest. "Leave the gold. Take the cheese." David's music pick is Tape 5 Vernon's app pick is Word Flow for iOS David recommends Clamour again, the new third-party Discord app, which doesn't seem to be in the Store quite yet. Expect it soon! Stuff they don't want you to know is Vernon's podcast pick. Tip of the Episode: "Fake it until you make it" Thanks for listening! We always appreciate your feedback and interaction.
