Building Customer Loyalty Through Experience and Community  Shep interviews Sujay Saha, founder and CEO of Cortico-X. He talks about how aligning customer experience with pricing and expectations drives value.  This episode of Amazing Business Radio with Shep Hyken answers the following questions and more:    What is return on experience (ROX) and how can businesses measure it?  How can businesses match customer expectations to pricing?  How does blending creativity and data improve customer service strategies?  What steps can companies take to minimize friction in the customer journey?  How does building customer communities foster brand loyalty?  Top Takeaways:    The higher the price, the higher the expectation. However, this does not automatically mean more products or more features. To create amazing experiences that provide value, brands need to understand what truly matters to their customers.   Every customer looks for a specific kind of value, whether it is convenience, quality, community, or something else. Understand the value that your customers are looking for and design your experiences to meet (or even exceed) these expectations.  Memorable experiences are not always expensive. They are often simple, timely, or personal. Offering a free car cleaning service at an auto repair shop or designing a seamless airline boarding system can add extra value to customer interactions.  Customers love connecting with others who share their experience. By cultivating communities, brands can provide memorable, shareable experiences that create loyalty and a sense of belongingness.  Customers don't just compare you to similar businesses. They compare you to the best experiences they have ever had, regardless of industry, product, or price point. The real competition is every amazing experience.  The return on experience (ROX) should be both actionable and accountable. Leaders must examine the root drivers behind customer experiences and use them as a guide on where to direct their investments. Then measure these investments to see whether they translate into the desired outcomes, such as increased loyalty or brand advocacy.  Plus, Shep and Sujay share real-world examples of organizations that are reaping the returns of delivering exceptional customer experience. Tune in!  Quote:   "Don't just consider the cost of experiences, but also think about how much loyalty you can create (with that investment), which can turn into future sales."  About:    Sujay Saha is the Founder and CEO of Cortico-X, known for advancing experience-led strategies and pioneering ROX (Return on Experience) for Fortune 500 companies.    Shep Hyken is a customer service and experience expert, New York Times bestselling author, award-winning keynote speaker, and host of Amazing Business Radio.   Learn more about your ad choices. Mom Wife Career Life - Work Life Balance, Time Management, Healthy Habits, Positive Parenting, Working Mom, Routines, Mindse

Hi Mamas, Do you ever open social media for "just a minute" and somehow end up feeling like you're behind? Behind on motherhood. Behind on your goals. Behind on your housework. Behind on life. You're not alone. Today we're talking about the pressure of social media, the comparison trap so many moms fall into, and the powerful reminder that we are often comparing our real lives to someone else's carefully curated highlight reel. I share my own struggles with social media as both a mom and a coach, why healthy boundaries around technology matter, and how comparison can quietly steal our joy, confidence, and presence without us even realizing it. If you've ever found yourself questioning whether you're doing enough after scrolling social media, this episode is for you. In This Episode We Discuss: Why social media comparison is so common among moms • How comparison quietly steals joy and shifts our focus • The difference between real life and online highlight reels • Why even coaches and business owners struggle with comparison • The importance of creating healthy boundaries with social media • How to protect your peace and stay present in your own life • A simple mindset shift to help you stop feeling like you're falling behind This Week's Quote: "Don't compare your real life to someone else's highlight reel."

After back-to-back rental letdowns, Tim and Vanessa decided they'd had enough. This episode dives into their journey from frustration to finally buying their first home in Tarpon Springs, Florida, with insights every first-time buyer can use.Tim and Vanessa's story begins with a double blow from their landlord — first being kicked out for renovations, then again just weeks later when the landlord decided to sell. The final straw came during their wedding anniversary weekend, in the middle of a hurricane, when they got the dreaded 30-day notice. Instead of giving up, they turned their anger into determination. With persistence and guidance from a unicorn realtor, they navigated the emotional rollercoaster of home shopping. They refused to settle, even when it felt tempting, and leaned on their realtor's network of lenders and inspectors to stay confident in the process. Their patience paid off: in early 2025, they closed on a $388,000 two-bedroom, two-bath home in Tarpon Springs, FL.This interview highlights the importance of resilience, choosing the right team, and never letting setbacks define your outcome. For anyone feeling stuck in the cycle of renting, Tim and Vanessa's journey is proof that perseverance and the right guidance can turn things around.Quote: “Don't settle. In today's episode, Gina is here to help you realize that despite your discomfort and negative monkey-mind thinking, you are ok and that there is nothing wrong with you. Our anxiety is constantly telling us we are broken and that there is something profoundly wrong with us, but these are thoughts induced by the anxiety fire raging through our bodies and nervous systems. Many individuals grappling with anxiety often adopt a victim mentality, believing that they are fundamentally broken or flawed due to their feelings and experiences. This mindset can lead to a cycle of shame and reassurance-seeking behaviors that only exacerbate anxiety, pulling us deeper into a negative spiral.Through our conversation, I stress the importance of recognizing the normalcy of anxiety and other discomforting feelings. It's essential to check in with healthcare practitioners to rule out any physical issues, as many of us have done. After receiving the green light from professionals, we start to realize that the physiological responses we have experienced—stress levels, hormonal fluctuations—are simply our body's response to environmental cues, not indicators of personal failure or dysfunction. This realization serves as the foundation to shift our internal dialogue and self-talk, moving from self-judgment to self-compassion.We explore various coping statements that can serve as powerful tools in moments of anxiety. Phrases like “I am allowing this feeling to be here; it's okay,” or “This too shall pass,” help in recognizing that feelings are transient and do not define our worth. I encourage listeners to embrace these feelings without judgment, allowing the discomfort to pass without the need for immediate action or understanding. This approach fosters a more accepting relationship with oneself, understanding that it's normal to experience discomfort and anxiety as part of the human experience.#AnxietyCoachesPodcast#AnxietyRelief#MentalHealth#SelfTalk#CopingSkills#AnxietyManagement#YouAreOkay#MindBodyConnection#StressReduction#EmotionalWellness#SelfCompassion#AnxietyHelp#GinaRyan#MentalWellness#WorryLess#OvercomingAnxiety#MindfulLiving#CopingStatements#AnxietyTips#EmotionalRegulation#HealingJourney#PanicAttacks#HolisticHealthSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Quick story to explain this - I was testing out a new business and I was talking to my husband about this product and the cost of goods and profits and the industry and I was explaining about the strong positioning I'll have in the marketplace and he was like many sold last month and what was the net profit?  And when I told him - he's like your time is worth more- that's not big enough - and I'm like totally - but I haven't even gotten started.  He's like but you have sales-  I was like I know, but I'm in the pre-game like I haven't even gotten started.  I'm building the skills and knowledge in the industry to go out and hit a home run.  In the process of explaining this to him, I unlocked SUCH a powerful frame for myself that I think will really help you too.  This frame is genius for anything you've tried at but haven't hit out of the park yet.  In any bucket of your life. Record strong podcast episodes, make sales in your Etsy or Amazon business, lose weight, build stronger relationships with girlfriends- it can be applied to just about anything.  It's the UNLOCK to stop judging yourself for taking too long or not getting there yet or for the mistakes you made along the way.  None of what happens in the past defines how successful you will be going forward - it was all prep work for the BIG move that's about to come.   Let's get into it!!  Reframing Your Past:    •    How to shift your mindset to see everything you've done up until now as preparation, not failure.    •    Embrace your “warm-up reps” as necessary for your future greatness.    •    The power of process over perfection—show up with a growth mindset, not an outcome obsession.    •    Mistakes and slow starts don't disqualify you—they qualify you. Quote: “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” — James Clear ⸻ 2. The Power of the Pregame Frame in Business:    •    Why launching something small, testing, and learning the landscape is one of the most strategic things you can do.    •    Building muscle in the industry, even if the early results don't look big yet.    •    Your pregame is your research lab—learn fast, fail small, adjust boldly. Quote: “Volume negates luck.” — Alex Hormozi ⸻ 3. Stop Judging the Timeline:    •    You're not late—you're just in the warm-up.    •    The world teaches speed, but mastery comes from depth and consistency.    •    Let go of artificial timelines and embrace your unique runway. Quote: “You can't be upset by the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do.” — Mel Robbins ⸻ 4. Applying the Frame to Different Life Buckets:    •    Health: Every workout you've done, even sporadically, is a win. Your future self will use those reps.    •    Relationships: Conversations that didn't go well taught you what you want in a friendship or partnership.    •    Parenting: The imperfect moments were actually preparation for the present version of you.    •    Creative Work: Podcasts, posts, or projects that felt “meh” were the training ground for your voice. Quote: “Sometimes you win. Sometimes you learn.” — John C. Maxwell ⸻ 5. The Real Work Begins When You Decide to Stop Judging Yourself:    •    Self-compassion is your rocket fuel.    •    You're not behind—you're building traction.    •    “I haven't even gotten started” becomes your permission slip to go bigger. Quote: “Don't attach your identity to the version of you that had to survive.” — Jay Shetty ⸻ 6. Invite Your Listeners to Do This:    •    Write down a list of things you've “started but not mastered.” Then re-label them as “Pregame Practice.”    •    Celebrate what you've learned—not just what you earned.    •    Choose one area to now move into game time with fresh energy. Take the time to be kind to yourself for anything big you are working towards and know that you are just warming up baby, the best is yet to come!!  Check out Lindsay's Weekly Planning System here:  https://howtobeawesomeateverything.com/pages/2-0weeklyhabitsandplanningsystem

Episode Overview: In this episode, George and Nick dive into critical nonprofit news, including Elon Musk's legal battle with a nonprofit advertising group, the financial struggles of tech nonprofits post-pandemic, and a wave of funding cuts impacting local nonprofits. They also share updates on the digital divide and a unique initiative in Kansas to claim unclaimed property for nonprofits. Key Topics and Insights: 1. Elon Musk's Legal Battle with GARM Story: The Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), a nonprofit advertising initiative, has ceased operations due to a lawsuit from Elon Musk's social media platform, X. Impact: GARM's shutdown underscores the immense legal pressures nonprofits can face, especially when challenged by well-funded entities like X. Quote: "It's a tough time to be in journalism, especially for nonprofits trying to report on things... you can weaponize the legal system to file a lawsuit against things that you feel are damaging." Reflection: This case highlights the vulnerability of nonprofits to legal intimidation and the need for financial resilience to withstand such challenges. 2. Tech Nonprofits Closing Post-Pandemic Story: Several tech-focused nonprofits, including Venture for America and Women Who Code, have shut down due to drastic revenue drops following a pandemic-induced surge. Insight: The fluctuation in funding and the inability to scale back effectively post-surge led to these closures. Quote: "There's nothing sadder than actually going out of business because of that moment of success." Reflection: The story serves as a cautionary tale about the risks of rapid, unsustainable growth and the importance of financial planning. 3. United Way Funding Cuts in Rochester Story: The United Way of Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes has drastically reduced funding, approving only $6 million out of $35 million in grant applications. Impact: Essential services like Foodlink, a local food bank, are severely affected, highlighting the ongoing challenges nonprofits face in securing steady funding. Quote: "The trickle-down effect is definitely being seen." Reflection: This scenario underscores the broader economic pressures on nonprofits and the crucial role of consistent donor support. 4. Kansas Initiative for Unclaimed Property Story: Kansas State Treasurer Steven Johnson announced a week-long initiative to help nonprofits claim over $640 million in unclaimed property. Opportunity: Nonprofits have the chance to recover forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, and insurance proceeds. Quote: "Don't leave money on the table... check your own stuff." Reflection: This initiative is a reminder for nonprofits to explore all potential funding sources, including unclaimed property. 5. Bridging the Digital Divide in Atlanta Story: CompuDopt is working to provide technology access to families in need, addressing the digital divide exacerbated by the pandemic. Impact: Ensuring access to laptops and Wi-Fi is crucial for educational and economic opportunities. Quote: "Technology access is becoming more and more a differentiator." Reflection: Efforts to bridge the digital divide are essential for equity and inclusion in the modern world.
