Smell this yogurt, is it still good? Our sense of smell has the ability to keep us healthy and safe. In fact in some cases, our ability to detect "off" foods using our sense of smell can be superior to dogs and other animals. Smell is often undervalued and yet capable of inspiring profound admiration if we stop turning our noses at it. Producer Annie Bender examines what we lose when we take our powerful — but often misunderstood — sense of smell for granted. *This episode originally aired on June 3, 2024.

Bad Bunny, or Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is dominating headlines and social media this week as he wraps up his epic two-month residency, No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí, at Puerto Rico's Coliseo de Puerto Rico. This 30-concert extravaganza transformed San Juan into a nonstop celebration, drawing fans worldwide and sparking a festival atmosphere across the city—bars overflowed, murals sprang up overnight, and legendary surprise guests hit the stage. Reports from Radio Milwaukee paint a scene of San Juan “alive,” with airport lines snaking out the door for merch, pop-ups celebrating Benito, and entire neighborhoods blasting his biggest hits. Inside the arena, each performance was a spectacle of lights, pyrotechnics, Puerto Rican iconography, and star-studded cameos—Arcángel, Ivy Queen, Young Miko, and Feid all took turns electrifying the crowd. The residency was more than a concert series; it was a declaration of Puerto Rican pride and a global showcase of Latin music's power. Bad Bunny himself, sharing with i-D Magazine, described the energy as “unprecedented,” uniting generations with music rooted in salsa, bomba y plena, and classic reggaetón influences interspersed throughout his flashy pop catalog.Just this Monday, Bad Bunny surprised fans with the release of his new single “Alambre Púa.” According to AOL, he debuted the track live for the residency's closing weekend, using it as the adrenaline-charged opener that set the tone for a 30-song marathon. This marks his first new music since January's album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which itself remains a Billboard and streaming juggernaut well into the year. Variety notes that the album's popularity is powering everything from record sales to unique brand tie-ins, like a special Peloton workout series celebrating Bad Bunny's music and artistic journey. The residency, however, is only the beginning of Bad Bunny's next chapter. ABC News and The Fader detail that his highly anticipated world tour for 2025-2026, supporting Debí Tirar Más Fotos, will not feature any U.S. dates. Bad Bunny cited not just a sense that he had “already done the U.S. extensively,” but, more seriously, concerns about safety and the threat of ICE raids for himself and his fans—a move the artist discussed candidly with both Variety and i-D.Recognition for Bad Bunny's achievements continues to skyrocket: the Latin Times confirms that he just broke the all-time record for nominations at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, earning an incredible 27 nominations. He leads across categories—Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Top Latin Album for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and a slew of individual single nominations, underscoring his dominance in both streaming and on the charts. The awards ceremony will air live on October 23, 2025, from Miami, so expect even more historic moments as the date approaches.Meanwhile, Bad Bunny's cultural reach goes further than music. As reported by Variety, he's starring alongside Adam Sandler in the much-hyped movie Happy Gilmore 2, released in July, continuing his rapid rise as a multifaceted global entertainer. Thanks for tuning in—come back next week for another update on Bad Bunny and all things music. It was developed by Imagineering and published by Acclaim in North America in 1990. Our returning Deacon this evening is Christopher Hopper.Send us a textThe miNEStry founders, Archbishop Dracul and Father Avram, seek to inspire their 8-bit parishioners through methodical and ceremonial scrutiny of the library of games on the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Susan Ferrier's career is somewhat unique in that she reached acclaim working for another firm—in this case, architect Bobby McAlpine's. She spent nearly 20 years there, winning awards and building the design side of the business into a powerhouse. In 2018 Ferrier finally went out on her own, and has quickly built up an impressive firm, collaborating with Baker on a collection and creating rich, layered interiors inspired by a global palette. On this episode of the podcast Ferrier speaks with host Dennis Scully about how rising industry costs have made it harder to do great work, how she uses AI, and why her secret to success is being fortunate, prepared, and always saying yes. This episode is sponsored by Loloi and Blu Dot LINKSSusan FerrierDennis ScullyBusiness of Home

The 94 WIP Morning Show discussed whether the 2024 Eagles, after their Super Bowl win and huge season turnaround, got enough national praise. Are they one of the best teams of all time, like the ‘85 Bears? Joe DeCamara thinks they got snubbed and lists his reasons why. Reuben Frank joins the show to answer the national acclaim question and report about what he's seen from the Eagles in the off-season. Ben Davis, in-studio, helps the Morning Show recap the Phillies' series win against the Cubs and break down what the Phillies need to do to progress this season. Do they need to add a right handed bat? The show also considered if the Phillies should trade for a new fielder and move Schwarber to left field. In the run up to Joe DeCamara vs. Jack Fritz: who is Joe's athlete comparison? Can Joe compete like them? Hear some Life Advice, Time's Yours calls and a whole lot more!
Joe DeCamara from the 94 WIP Morning Show lists out the reasons he thinks the Eagles haven't gotten the national media acclaim that he believes they deserve after winning the Super Bowl this past season. Do you think the 2024 Eagles are one of the best teams in history? Should they have gotten more national acclaim?
Our teacher today is Will Thorndike, co-founder of Compounding Labs and author of the acclaimed book, “The Outsiders.” In our opinion, Will has emerged as one of the most influential and innovative investor minds of the past few decades. And if you care about long-term value creation and the art of capital allocation, chances are you've also benefited from some of his ideas. In 1994, he founded Housatonic Partners, a pioneering private equity firm known for its unusually long holding periods and its leadership in the search fund space alongside his mentor and Stanford professor Irv Grousbeck. Will helped to originate the modern search fund model, backing early career CEOs to buy and grow businesses with long-term horizons and radically aligned incentives. Since then, he has invested in the majority of the top 20 search fund outcomes to date, including Asurion, which he recently profiled on his podcast 50X. We explore Will's full arc from the research that led to “The Outsiders” to his decades as an investor to the new frontier he's now helping to shape. We talk about what makes a business truly enduring, why great leadership and resource allocation remain so misunderstood, and how the right people, structure, and alignment enable companies to compound over time. Please enjoy this class with Will Thorndike. Hosts Frank Cifaldi and Phil Salvador chat with Mark and Michelle Flitman, a father-daughter duo, about Mark's career, his donated collection at the VGHF, and his autobiography: "It's Not All Fun and Games." As a semi-retired video game and toy producer, Mark shares his career highlights as a publisher producer throughout the 90's and into the early 2000's at Konami, Acclaim, Mindscape, Midway, and later, Atari. Most of his titles were licensed properties including The Simpsons (Bart's Nightmare, Virtual Bart), WWF (Royal Rumble and RAW), and several Marvel properties (Maximum Carnage). Michelle shares her efforts to preserve her father's collection, which includes concept art, design documents, and prototypes. You'll hear highlighted notable items like the Eclipse demo by Argonaut and the Monster Dunk project. The conversation also touches on the importance of trust in producer-developer relationships and the challenges of managing licensed properties.Mentioned in the show:Mark Flitman's development papers: https://archive.gamehistory.org/folder/205c628c-5d0a-4de8-a5a5-782f31706ac0.You can listen to the Video Game History Hour every other Wednesday on Patreon (one day early at the $5 tier and above), on Spotify, or on our website.See more from Michelle Flitman:Website: www.flitman.siteSee more from Mark Flitman:Book - Hardcover (Limited Run - Collector's Edition): “It's Not All Fun And Games”Book - Hardcover (Amazon): “It's Not All Fun And Games”Video Game History Foundation:Email: podcast@gamehistory.orgWebsite: gamehistory.orgSupport us on Patreon: /gamehistoryorg

We're on the verge of the second season of HBO's The Last of Us, and yet new questions percolate about whether we'll ever see another game in Naughty Dog's vaunted series. In a recent interview, Neil Druckmann told fans "don't bet on there being more," which is both alluringly ominous and obviously vague. That's good news for us, though, since it gives us plenty to discuss. Do we need more? Do we want more? Should we get more? Plus: Rumors are ramping up about one-time Xbox titan Gears of War migrating to PlayStation 5 later this year, while details related to Firesprite's cancelled Twisted Metal project have leaked. Also: PlayStation 2 turns 25 years old in Japan, Until Dawn Remake studio Ballistic Moon goes belly-up, a key Bungie designer joins Guerrilla, Monster Hunter Wilds smashes Capcom sales records, and more. Finally: Listener inquiries! Is it possible that Grand Theft Auto VI fails to meet either critical or commercial expectations, or perhaps both? What are our reflections on PS5 Pro now that we've had our own for some months? Should Canadians stop buying games from American publishers and developers in retaliation of US tariffs? Will Colin ever forgive his brother for continuously referring to himself as "The Dagster"?
