Embassy Pictures, who created Sons of Hercules, was founded in 1942 by Joseph E. Levine as a distributor of foreign films. He knew that these movies had been popular in theaters and that while that initial success may be waning, local UHF channels had a desperate need for content. Zeitpunkt: am vergangenen Samstagabend, nach europäischer Zeit.Im Festsaal startete das jährliche „White House Correspondents-Dinner“, ein Treffen von Machthabern, Berichterstattern und Promis. Bislang hatte Trump sich dieser Veranstaltung erfolgreich entzogen. Diesmal nicht. Diesmal präsentierte sich der ehemalige New Yorker Baulöwe den 2600 Gästen.Nur wenige Meter entfernt, am Haupteingang: Ein Mann, bis an die Zähne bewaffnet, zischte an den verdutzten Wachen vorbei. Beim Sprint in Richtung Festsaal, schoss er mit einer Schrotflinte wild um sich. Außerdem trug er Handfeuerwaffen und mehrere Messer im Gepäck: Da hatte sich jemand fürs große Massaker präpariert.Das Video der Überwachungskamera zeigt, dass die Sicherheits-Profis zunächst kaum reagierten. This week, a woman was awarded $93,000 by a NSW court over an unlawful police strip search at a 2018 music festival. Strip searches are supposed to be conducted under exceptional circumstances only, but recent figures suggest they’re being conducted more frequently. Over the past decade, the number of young people alleging they were searched unlawfully, often in humiliating and invasive circumstances, has remained high.
