How many times have you given your body to a broken soul- to someone that you actually love or strongly care about? To feel empty after the sex is finished. It is not making love - it's eating death- negative energy to the inner womb- to the core of your emotion and connection to the grounding of your aura. There are times you even go in cycles because who you let inside your womb has planet death. The sacral chakra, Swadhisthana in Sanskrit, has its position in the lower belly, close to the reproductive organs that it governs. This chakra handles emotional regulation, creative potential, sexuality, and the ability to feel and pursue pleasure.  The Swadhisthana chakra is connected to the water element. Someone with an open sacral chakra can flow with the ups and downs of life and find ease rather than be overtaken by their emotions. The second chakra's color is orange. Connect with the water element by spending time in or by large pools of water, preferably from natural sources. Swim in an ocean, kayak in a lake, or paddle in a river. Alternatively, soaking in water by taking baths can help to activate this chakra. * BE mindful of the sonic sounds in this audio please, if you have any hearing issues please consult with your doctor prior to hearing this podcast- we do sonic healing sounds. The sacral chakra, or Swadhisthana, this energy center sits about 2 inches below the belly button and is all about creativity, sexual energy, and relating to our emotions and the emotions of others. Someone with a balanced sacral chakra radiates warmth, confidence, and generosity. When the sacral chakra is out of balance, it can lead to "feelings of fear, overwhelm, depression, emotional instability, loss of creativity, and addictive behaviors."

Swadhisthana or Sacral chakra is the second in chakra system. Another name for the swadhisthana or sacral chakra is 'The Creative Chakra'. While the first chakra, muladhara deals with survival instincts the second chakra moves a step beyond for creation. Once the roots are firm the plants starts creating new buds and coming out of the seed to the world. As the nature maintains the cordial relationship among its creatures thus we can do the same with the sacral chakra, as it is the chakra of relationships. The feelings and emotions are the gifts of the sacral chakra. Creativity, sexuality, feelings, expression of karmas, joy are associated with the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra is concerned with more of subconscious mind. And desires and subtle thoughts lie in the subconscious mind. It is the place from where thoughts arise. Swadhisthana - Swa means 'the self' and Adhisthana means 'the established'. Hence 'The Established Self' - this is how we can define the sacral chakra. This chakra takes energies propagated from the root chakra and propels it to the next levels. LOCATION AND ORGANS Swadhisthana is located two finger width above the root chakra. Or we can say it is just below the navel nearly three fingers below. With this in mind we can have an idea which body organs are associated with the sacral chakra, namely ovaries, testes, genitals, kidneys, hormones of this area and more. SYMPTOMS OF AN IMBALANCED SACRAL CHAKRA * Addictions * Repressed emotions or over reactions * Lack of creativity * Fear of happiness * More of desires and greed if overactive. * Attachment turning into obsession * Less or over passionate * Not in harmony with others * Lower back pain * Hormonal imbalance * Sexual disorders * Feeling of guilt * Gynecological disorders * Kidney issues * Urinary problems * Unhealthy relations * Over detachment * Getting lost in fantasies * Holding onto something more than required The "happy and creative you" is the result of balanced sacral chakra. Right emotions, love, flexibility, let go and move, desires in control yet not being desireless, healthy relationships, flow of creativity are the few signs of balanced, open chakra. The sound or the Bija mantra of Sacral Chakra is 'VAM'. Regularly meditating on the sound of sacral chakra "VAM"and on the color orange helps clear negativity and restore balance to the energy center. You feel in harmony with life on chanting VAM. You are able to express yourself creatively and to mature with each new experience life offers — both good and bad. Attune to the sound of 'VAM'! Allow yourself to experience the pleasurable life! And be regular in practice of meditation of the chakra! #sacralchakra #chakrameditation #sanatansanskriti #vam #108timesjap #jap #chanting #chakrachanting #sanatansanskritipodcast #ashishpmishrapodcast #spotify #amazonmusic #googlepodcast #itunepodcast #spiritualpodcast #ashishpmishra --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ashish-p-mishra/support

Svadisthana is the second chakra of the body and the center of creativity, pleasure and enjoyment. It is also known in Western culture as the spleen or sacral chakra because of its location in the body -- in the lower abdomen, about two inches beneath the navel. This energy center of svadisthana is responsible for personal creativity – what the individual offers to the world through the arts, work and procreation. It is also the human connection to inner Truth and knowing one's Self. The subconscious mind governs svadisthana, which is associated with emotions that impact relationships – sensuality, self-acceptance and intimacy. This chakra governs how the individual relates to others and what such relationships mean to them. The color associated with svadisthana is orange, which is a combination of yellow (happiness) and red (energy). The symbol of this chakra is a lotus flower with six orange petals and a crescent moon. #Swadhisthanchakra #chakrameditation #sanatansanskritipodcast #ashishpmishrapodcast #yoga #hindipodcast #trs #sanatansanskritipodcast #ashishpmishrapodcast #spotify #amazonmusic #googlepodcast #itunepodcast #spiritualpodcast #ashishpmishra --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ashish-p-mishra/support

Chakra WISDOM: Your Swadhisthana Chakra The WISDOM podcast  Season 2  Episode 74   Welcome to this beautiful series and a journey through these sacred centers of wisdom called chakras. As we dive into the realm of our second chakra, we encounter emotions and sexuality. Where the first chakra centers around survival and structure, the focus here is all about movement, creativity, and flow. The Sacral Chakra or Swadhisthana governs the energy of creativity, pleasure, sex, procreation, control and morality. It also presides over dreams and fantasies. The second chakra is located in the lower abdomen. The color of this chakra is bright orange. Its glow fills the pelvis, bathing the sexual organs, enlivening our desire and capacity for pleasure. As I share the sacred wisdom of this Chakra, I lean to a wonderful book titled: The Rainbow Journey: Seven Steps to Self-Healing, Dr. Brenda Davies. Years earlier, I would find a used copy of this book. It was very worn and the spine had let go, and yet I saw it as a ‘sweet' find and it continues to be a wonderful resource and guide to the chakra system. I'll leave a link for it in the description. I purposefully use the word ‘sweet' as the Sanskrit word Swadhisthana has many translations – ‘the sacred home', ‘the sweet place' and ‘the goddess' favorite standing place” because here at the second chakra it is about allowing pleasure and joy in the many experiences of life. As I share with you the teachings of this Chakra, I also reference and take direct quotes from Anodea Judith's book: Eastern Body Western Mind: Psychology and the Chakra System as a Path to the Self and I'll link up her work here for you also, as she is an esteemed expert in the Chakras. Be sure to take part in the guided meditation that closes out this episode.  It is a beautiful experience in balancing the beautiful sacred energy of this chakra.

Find out how! This episode is punctuated with a micro abundance meditation that can be done again & again. “You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop.” - Rumi  Note: This is the third episode in our Chakra Soulcast Series. Stay tuned and be on the lookout for these upcoming “Soulcasts” where we will go chakra by chakra (one episode per each chakra) and you can learn even about this powerful mystical technology that blends Eastern Wisdom & Modern Day life so you can move towards more mystical mastery and mindfulness living. SHOW NOTES:  “Swadhisthana” is Sanskrit name for the sacral chakra. “swa” means “one's own” and “adhisthana” means dwelling place or residence. Kundalini originally dwelled here until it descended down into the root chakra.  We are all pregnant with possibilities and this chakra is located at the level of our reproductive organs. This chakra is connected to our right to feel and to our unconscious. It is developed during the childhood stage from 2 months old until approx. 2 years. As adults we go back and re-develop refining this chakra which is closely tied to our psyche, shadow and emotional body. Stressors of this chakra are important to know. You can have an excess or deficiency in this sacral chakra, both of which cause imbalances and can affect our day-to-day life.  Many women who have given birth have residual trauma which affects this chakra and can be healed at any point later in a women's life...even 50 years or more later! The Alligator, Mermaid and Merman archetypes are all associated with this chakra in addition to the Indian Goddess of Abundance, Lakshmi, and the Roman Goddess, Venus, the goddess of sex, beauty, victory and fertility. The “Birth of Venus'' painting by Botticelli https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birth_of_Venus  is a beautiful depiction of this sacral chakra erotic energy even if you identify as male as the masculine and feminine energies live within each being. Freya ( the Scandinavian goddess of love, fertility, battle, and death which is so adept because our passion, sexuality and even our fecund creativity are linked intrinsically to these things, right?) birthed the name for our weekday Friday. And Freya's counterpart is of course the roman goddess Venus!  Affirmations reprogram our thoughts. This chakra is associated with the element of water and in western astrology, the signs of water are: Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces. We live in a culture that brainwashes our sexuality through consumerism. The commercialism of sexuality is connected to the pornography industry. There is much collective healing work & reclamation of our sacred sexuality surrounding the massive influence of pornography in this digital age. Thinking of our sexuality and practicing it as such is a revolutionary act in our culture with this climate. What gets our sacred waters flowing in support of our spiritual and psychological development? Our sacred waters are directly connected to our mysticism and in a symbiotic relationship with our creativity. Untamed, by Glennon Doyle, Chapter called “Woods” page 176, description of effect of pornography on our psyches.  https://untamedbook.com/  Many paths of Tantra believe that the senses can be gateways for the divine to enter if we engage consciously with them. Why Tantra historically was associated with sex.  Pleasure in alignment can open us up to more mystical moments. If you are not sexually active, you can nourish this chakra in other ways to forge more creativity. Let your hair down like Venus and relax, as relaxing helps build intuition & creativity. We are both the artist and the muse. Consider the ways you are interfacing with this chakra from a place of deep consciousness, reverent awareness in the way of abundance, sexuality & creativity. "I must be a mermaid, I have no fear of depth and a great fear of shallow living." - Anais Nin Repeat the mantra “Vam” 6x daily as a practice to connect, heal or open this chakra.

“When the sacral chakra is clear, clean and balanced, it is a sign of creativity, self-acceptance, sensual expression, and relating to others with ease and grace.” Today's episode is part of the “chakra clip series”, where each week we will briefly discuss one of the seven main chakra energy centers. How each center affects us spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally is summarized. When we nourish our chakras on a regular basis, the awesome result is balance and overall well-being. With concentrated awareness, it is easy to bring your chakras into alignment using such elements as color, intention, visualizations or meditation, crystals or sound, or other energy healing techniques. All of which I cover in the Align your Chakras course that we'll discuss in detail later. Today's episode is about the Sacral Chakra located in the lower abdomen, about two fingers below the navel. This is often identified as simply the second chakra... it's ancient sanskrit name is “Swadhisthana”. When this chakra is healthy, we feel inspired, creative, sensual, and self-accepting. As with our opening quote,” when the sacral chakra is clean, clear and balanced, creativity, self-acceptance, sensual expression and relating to others with ease and grace will follow. On the other hand, when this chakra is imbalanced, it's easy to feel repressed and unattractive, overly sensitive, immobilized, or even experiencing addictive desires. The Sacral Chakra resonates with the frequency of the color orange. So, a simple activity to start getting it aligned is to visualize a beautiful, bright, shining ball of orange light, visualize it centered about two fingers below your navel within your abdomen. See it growing and circling. front to back, left to right, glowing brightly. Feel the warm and healing light energy! When the sacral chakra is aligned, we can experience acceptance and gratitude for our families, ourselves, our friends, and all the pleasures and passion that life has to offer! So, listen in to this episode of “Call IT in with Dar” and call in a clean, clear, and balanced Sacral Chakra!

Last week I talked about your comfort zone and the need to re-examine it based on the philosophy and psychology of yoga in relation to the sense of security mediated via mooladhara, the root chakra. Today, I will be talking about the chakra of happiness. Just to remind you that the chakras are energy centers within us. They are not a part of the anatomy that can be seen with the eyes. You can’t dissect out a chakra and examine it. However, it’s interesting to note that each of the chakras is located in the physical body near a major endocrine gland and nerve complex. It’s the endocrine and nervous systems that help regulate bodily functions and not just from a physical perspective. In fact, the endocrine and nervous systems influence us on many different levels, physical, energetic, and mental. So when the ancient yogis delineated the chakras and their locations, they had an understanding that each of these areas of the body greatly influences us. This week we will explore the effects of the next chakra, swadhisthana. Swa means “one’s own” and adhisthana means “dwelling place” so swadhistana is the basis of our individual human existence. It is said that this chakra is associated with the unconscious mind with its storehouse of impressions from our actions during this life and that govern our individual responses to life as we live it now. Unlike mooladhara where we seek security and may seek pleasure as a means to acquire security, here we seek pleasure because it just makes us feels good! Swadhisthana looks for the sensorial pleasures based on one’s samskaras or patterns of behavior that become the default, patterned behavior that helps us respond to the world around us. The whole world is viewed according to the amount of pleasure it yields. Basically, this is the chakra that is most predominantly functioning in today’s world. Again, there are degrees of how this manifests from one person’s life to the other. To briefly review the continuum of the gunas, the qualities of existence, you will be able to see where you fall on that spectrum to have insight into managing your desires. At the dark end of the spectrum is tamas, the sense of inertia, ignorance, stuckness. At the light end of the spectrum is sattwa, the quality of balance, purity, and luminosity. And to move from tamas to sattwa, in the middle is rajas, the quality of dynamism, action, but also ego. Considering the gunas let’s look at this spectrum as it relates to swadhistana. Since this chakra is about pleasure, then if tamas predominates, there is no pleasure – one is stuck in darkness. This results in a lack of motivation, depression, and even suicidal thinking. There may be inappropriate feelings of guilt and pessimism. Addictions may happen in an effort to elevate this darkness and find pleasure, which, of course is only temporary leaving one unfulfilled and results in the cycle beginning again. Generally speaking, this person needs professional help along with support from any friends or family. The likelihood is that this person won’t come to a yoga class or listen to this podcast or do anything that will help them move forward because they don’t believe they deserve to feel better. Now, many of us have periods where tamas is influencing our lives. We experience sadness, boredom, and loneliness. There is more action, but it may be over-action in an effort to be happy. Overeating, overdrinking, overspending, indulging in sex only for one’s personal pleasure. Not caring about how others feel about these actions. Becoming more fully established in rajas, there is more optimism and drive as long as things are moving along smoothly. All good things still come from outside oneself, but there is humor and a desire for fun. As the light of sattwa begins to shine into swadhisthana, one becomes more interested in others, kinder, and less self-absorbed. They are considerate of others, contented, and happy. Continuing further into sattwa, this person lights up a whole room when they walk in and people love to be with them. They are joyful and can always see the funny side of life. Without effort, they see the positive side of everyone and all of life’s situations. So, do you know someone like this? Do you want to be someone like this? How do you get there? Well of course I’m going to suggest you do yoga! But seriously, not so much yoga on the mat, although movement is important and if done with awareness, can be beneficial. What will be most beneficial is yoga off the mat, on the meditation cushion and in your life. Practicing meditation is essential to be able to see yourself and the ruminations of your mind. I honestly don’t think you will progress without it. With meditation you will gain some serious insights as to the number of thoughts that relate to cravings – the seeking of happiness through sensory pleasures. In watching the thoughts, you also see what emotions are attached to those thoughts and how many of your patterns are an attempt at soothing negative emotions. Now when I speak of meditation, I don’t mean you have to do one hour sitting cross-legged on the floor. In fact, I suggest you start with about 10-15 minutes and sit however you wish, in a quiet place without distractions. The mindfulness meditation of antar mouna is an excellent beginning practice and you can get that as a bonus podcast practice last November. In this practice, you begin to find space between you as the witness of the thought so you can be proactive rather than being swept away by your thoughts into your usual patterns of conditioned behavior. In addition, try using the practice of yoga nidra, a guided meditation where you lie down and relax deeply. Yoga nidra will help to alleviate your stress. Stress creates unhappiness so it is often the triggering mechanism for overindulging. Remember, your cravings are a result of seeking happiness outside of you through sensory pleasures. Therefore, managing your senses is important and this requires simplicity and regularity in life. For most of us this can be difficult, especially since the pandemic has altered our lives so much. But you can start trying. Begin to examine the overwhelming variety and amount of sensory input that you experience daily. What things stimulate your senses and cravings, but aren’t really healthy or necessary? When I go to India and stay at the ashram, life is so busy there, but also simple. When you have hundreds of people in a limited space, things have to be organized! There is a time to get up, a regular schedule for eating simple meals, afternoon tea, time for work and time to stop working, time for learning and practicing and time for sleep. Even if I’m only staying there for a couple of weeks, I can feel layers of my usual life being peeled away and I leave feeling a sense of fullness that I rarely feel here. You don’t have to go to extremes, but do begin to engage in some restraint, both physical and mental restraint. Cut back on unhealthy foods and adopt a simple diet. Sit less and go for a walk more. Less screen time on devices and more time in solitude. Less freedom to do anything at any time and more of a schedule for your life. Start with small steps to begin the journey to stop looking outside of you and find the happiness that lives within, just waiting for you to set the stage for its opportunity to play out.

Learning to Trust Your Intuition: Guided Chakra Meditation Technique

In this session, we use a meditation technique to help us tune into and learn to trust our intuition more. By bringing awareness to several of the chakras, as well as a short visualisation technique, we are able to help fine-tune our intuition, or gut-feeling. Have you ever felt that you could connect to your intuition?   There are four forms of human intelligence:  - The first form is instinct. - The second form of intelligence is intellect, or reasoning. - The third form is intuition. This ability of intuition is present in all of us. All we need to do is tune into it. - The fourth form is absolute knowledge, which is beyond the scope of this session.   So how do we tune into our intuition as part of meditation? In order to tune into our intuition, we need to have trust in ourselves - the trust that “yes, we know”. That trust is built when we take our awareness to several parts of our body. I will guide you through the following steps during the meditation to help achieve this: - Firstly we will tune into our heart centre to build trust in oneself. - Secondly we’ll go down to what in yogic traditions is known as the Swadhisthana chakra, or simply, the area that is two inches below the navel - where you say you have a “gut feeling”. This is where the knowing happens, which we call intuition. - In order to translate this knowing into knowledge, we need something more - another dimension or ability to translate the knowing into reality. This is present in the seat of the Agya chakra. In yogic tradition this is the area between the eyebrows, and is known as the knowledge centre. - Then we will take our awareness to the top of our head and visualise as if there is an opening in our heads, and there is a flow of energy between our head and the universe outside. - After these four steps, we will stop and sit in silence, in awareness of the moment.   I hope that this session brings you further trust in your intuition!
