Continuing our Edinburgh Month... Canadian comedian Michelle Shaughnessy fast made a name for herself across North America. She's had numerous appearances on television and her debut album “You Know What You Did” hit number one on the iTunes comedy charts. Her sophomore album “Botoxic” received a coveted 5 star review from Toronto's NOW Magazine. In 2017 she was a finalist in Canada's “Top Comic” competition and her audition video has since gone viral, with 5 million views and climbing. In 2018 her original scripted pilot was a finalist in Just For Laughs Stand Up and Pitch” sitcom contest. Michelle is also an accomplished writer and actor with credits that span commercial, variety, scripted and unscripted television. Her acting work has been featured on Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix. Vicki Barbolak is one of America's funniest and most authentic comedians. She was a fan favorite and top 10 finalist on Season 13 of America's Got Talent in 2018 on NBC. After a few years of open mic nights, Vicki was taken under the wing of Mitzi Shore, owner of The Comedy Store where Vicki developed as a Comedian. E! Entertainment, in its True Hollywood Story of the Comedy Store and its owner, Mitzi Shore, predicted Vicki would be the next “breakout star” to come out of that famed institution. Drawing on her roller-coaster life of working in a family carpet business owned by her dad, a former Pittsburgh Steeler, dueling with ex-husbands who think alimony is an Italian ice-cream flavor and raising two great kids all while living in the ultra posh Vista Manor Trailer Park near San Diego. Vicki has created a comic persona that has earned her well-deserved praise. She is considered unique both in the character she has created as well as the fresh material she consistently delivers. In 2007 Vicki won Nickelodeon's “America's Funniest Mom” show hosted by Roseanne Barr. Roseanne was so impressed that she hired Vicki as one of her writers and requested that Vicki open for her at the New York New York Casino in Las Vegas. In addition to being crowned as America's Funniest Mom, Mark Ross and Bob Reid, Talent Coordinators for the Jay Leno Show selected Vicki for the 2010 Jay Leno Laugh Squad. Family Circle Magazine's September 2011 Issue profiles Vicki as an Expert in Joke Telling for their feature article, “How to Do Anything Better”. Vicki's true story about performing Stand up at a funeral was included in Mark Schiff and Rich Snyder's Best Selling Book, “I Killed, Road Stories from America's Top Comics”. Daniel Lobell is a man of seemingly endless talents. He is a comedian, a comic book creator, a podcast pioneer and... a chicken farmer. And he is a good friend of Mark and Lowell's.He currently hosts the podcast “Modern Day Philosopher” where he and fellow comedians like Bill Burr, Maria Bamford and Lewis Black delve into some of life's deep questions and “Tipping the Scales,” a podcast about body image and health. Well, it's Legends Week once again as we welcome the 'doctor' and very reverend comedian George Wallace to the podcast.Mark and Lowell hang out with George for over two hours and cover so much ground. We are honored to have the comedy legend Dom Irrera join the podcast this week.  An old friend of Mark's, he and Dom go way back to their start in the 1970's NYC comedy scene.    Dom is an award winning comedian who has had memorable and hilarious performances in shows like "Seinfeld," as prop comic Ronnie Kaye, "Everybody Loves Raymond," "King of Queens," and "I'm Dying Up Here" among many others. Dom also voiced the widely loved character Ernie on Nickelodeon's "Hey Arnold." He won a daytime Emmy award for his character Duke the Dog on Nickelodeon's "Back at the Barnyard."
