50 years ago yesterday, Ray Parker Jr. and I were in the same room… well, it was Madison Square Garden, he was 18, playing with Little Stevie Wonder, who was opening for The Stones, and, it was Mick's birthday. That's some cool shared history… I, a mere speck in the story am claiming my seat. Today was not quite so historic, yet any time in Ray's company is a huge treat. We recently saw Ghostbusters: Afterlife and loved it! So we figured why not combine the original Ghostbusters from 1984 with the new sequel from 2021 into one episode! Things will get a little spooky. Who You Gonna Call!? GHOSTBUSTERS!

WHO YOU GONNA CALL??? The director of this new Ghostbusters movie, Jason Reitman is actually the son of Ivan Reitman who directed the first two Ghostbusters movies.  This time around, he has given us a direct sequel to the original 1984 classic.  The action is now set in the Oklahoma country where the progeny of the late Dr. Egon Spangler has resettled in a country house and farm that he left them.  McKenna Grace stars as his granddaughter with Finn Wolfhard (of Stranger Things fame) as his grandson – Carrie Coon plays their mother and Paul Rudd plays a local teacher who befriends them as they all start to notice SPOOKY things around their house.  And Grandpa Egon also apparently left them loads of cool Ghostbusters gear including that famous “Ecto 1” car.  Needless to say, we apparently have a new generation of Ghostbusters on the case – let's see how this one compares to the previous films and if ‘Bustin still makes us feel good!'
