With Oscar season in full swing, Brian and Chris are once again looking at the Best Actor race. Time for Bring Your Own Blockbuster episode four and this time it's best you grab yourself some Fava beans and a nice Chianti as we take on the world of Hannibal Lecter and The Silence of the Lambs. Some era defining performances and one of the most chilling thriller/horror/crime/drama films you'll ever watch. The lads get stuck into what genre this film actually is and spend a good old chunk of time discussing our two lead characters. With Oscar winning performances from Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter and Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling, The Silence of the Lambs has some juicy themes for us to get stuck into. The representation of women in Cinema, the way in which the two interact with such enormous amounts of subtext. There's also an Oscar worthy performance from Jack who gives a world class Buffalo Bill impression. In terms of the scenes we had a field day discussing, well…where to begin? The initial interactions of Starling and Lecter, the horrifying Night vision chase in Buffalo Bill's house. We discuss how the ending might be the most horrifying scene of them all - but also how scenes that perhaps get a little less discussion have a far bigger impact than any of us realise. Once again we'll get stuck into the MVP's and discuss next weeks film. The pod as always is hosted by Ben Haines and Jack Hussey and produced by Alex Purdy. Bring Your Own Blockbuster isn't just a film review podcast, we try our best each week to dive deep into the themes and discussions that make cinema so special - and we'd love to hear your feedback on the film. This week the a look at two films. The multi Oscar nominated film Good Will Hunting and the much smaller but equally inspiring film Bank Of Dave. With Oscar nominated and in some cases winning performances most notably by the late Robin Williams Good Will Hunting has some what of a cult following. Written by and starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck at the young age of 19 it is in parts a brilliant film.Following on in the 'feel good' theme Bank Of Dave tell the story of how Dave Fishwick played by Rory Kinnear took on the established banking system and won by opening the first bank in one hundred and fifty years that still exists today. A very inspiring film.If you have a suggestion email us on backtothefilm20@gmail.com

At 25 years old, Oscar Zelaya is the youngest guest we've ever had on the HPA Tuned In podcast. Listening to this in-depth, tech-heavy conversation you'd never know it, though. Use ‘PODCAST75' for $75 off your first HPA course here: https://hpcdmy.co/hpa-tuned-inWith a background in mechanical engineering and a strong interest in motorsport electronics, Oscar has made a big impact in the motorsport community over the last few years. After leaving university and walking straight into a role with MoTeC USA, Oscar has since taken a leap of faith and now runs his own business, Zelaya Brothers, which offers a range of services from product development, to powertrain calibration, vehicle electronics solutions, and more. You don’t love me. You love me to love you. — Susan Alexander Kane, Citizen Kane FIRST TIME VIEWERS: ALISA, JOE We can see the headlines now: "Charles Foster Kane on IOML At Last". Yes, that's right, we're finally discussing Orson Welles' directorial debut, Citizen Kane, commonly regarded as the greatest film ever made. With Oscar season upon us, we're taking a look at this fabled movie, nominated for nine Academy Awards, but winner of only one for Best Original Screenplay (Herman J. Mankiewicz and Orson Welles). Was this film a blueprint followed by a recent American President? Is it an examination of the origins and effects of narcissism? Is there anyone left who doesn't know what Kane's last word, "Rosebud," refers to? How many of us learned that information from pop culture parodies? How well does the recently released Netflix film Mank pair with this masterpiece? And where does Sacha Baron Cohen fit into all of this? Join us, as we piece together the puzzle to reveal whether this movie deserves its reputation or if it's all just a bunch of sensationalism. Click here to listen to Episode 31: Citizen Kane. Valos (Shadow Raven) - John Decurro Laren - John Milo Sonder - Trevor GM – Jesse As Milo begins to make his way back to the Brig, Oscar comes running around the corner with Valos and Marks in hot pursuit. Valos snatches up a stool and throws it at Oscar knocking him off his stride and is able to close the distance and grab him. Marks gets a little rough with Oscar and Valos tries to calm the situation. With Oscar in manacles they head down to the brig. Decurro is already down there with Brannick, telling him that Captain Draggert wants to see him. Everyone converges in the hall and they all go up to see Draggert. They tell Draggert and Brannick everything they know about Pivel and the attack. Oscar agrees to help in whatever way he can, although he doesn’t know much. Valos lobbies for leniency for Oscar, since he’s been set up as the patsy. Draggert orders Oscar secured in the brig as much for his own safety as anything else. Draggert dismisses Decurro, Milo and Valos and just as they’re leaving the ships alarm goes off. The ship is under attack by about half a dozen flying contraptions. They are strafing the deck and Valos is shot. With resistance coming from the captain’s quarters the flying machines begin to focus their attack there, blowing out about half of the wall to Draggert’s quarters. Valos heads out the window and up to the top deck while Milo and Decurro hold their own. The battle only lasts for a few minutes and then the flyers begin to fall to the deck, dead. Decurro checks them out and realizes they looked cobbled together. Milo notices off in the distance the flashing of green lights and sees about a dozen of the flyers making off with more of the cargo, along with the artifact. https://www.birdscoffeecompany.com/coffees/legends-of-tabletop-legendary-brew Use Code Legends10 to get 10% off your order Theme music created by Brett Miller http://www.brettmillermusic.net/
