Ever wondered how Freemasons develop their leadership skills and wisdom? The journey through Freemasonry's progressive office system transforms Master Masons into capable leaders and virtuous individuals. This structured approach gradually increases responsibilities, deepens understanding of Masonic principles, and cultivates practical skills applicable in daily life.By progressing through various roles, Freemasons build their metaphorical temple of knowledge, character, and leadership abilities, preparing them for continued growth and service within and beyond the lodge.Show Notes:Read original article on SubstackFollow the Daily Masonic Progress Podcast on SpotifySubscribe to the Daily Masonic Progress Podcast on Apple PodcastsRead and subscribe to Daily Masonic Progress on SubstackWatch and Subscribe Youtube

I changed some of the ways which my lodge runs, and over the last 9 months it's been for the better. Now, this wouldn't be achievable if the Worshipful Master wasn't on board. But, I'm glad that he gave me that latitude as Senior Warden to do so. As a “Past Master” I took on SW to fill a gap in the officers, something which all PM's are well accustomed to. However this has allowed me the opportunity to also take charge of the workmen, just as King Solomon (WM) charged King Hiram to do.Show Notes:Read original article on SubstackFollow the Daily Masonic Progress Podcast on SpotifySubscribe to the Daily Masonic Progress Podcast on Apple PodcastsRead and subscribe to Daily Masonic Progress on SubstackWatch and Subscribe Youtube
Did you know that the Worshipful Master, not the Secretary, is ultimately responsible for a Masonic Lodge? Many Masters are unaware they're personally accountable to Grand Lodge for everything the Lodge does. This lack of understanding often leads to Secretaries and Past Masters running the show.Understanding the true power structure can revolutionize Lodge leadership, fostering growth and preventing stagnation in Masonic organizations worldwide.Show Notes:Read original article on SubstackWatch on YoutubeFollow the Daily Masonic Progress Podcast on SpotifySubscribe to the Daily Masonic Progress Podcast on Apple PodcastsRead and subscribe to Daily Masonic Progress on SubstackWatch and Subscribe Youtube

In this episode, we interview former 32nd degree Maser Mason, Joseph Victor, and get his perspective of Freemasonry. Joseph was the Worshipful Master of his craft lodge and achieved Royal Arch Mason which is the 7th degree of the York rite, the highest rank within this rite. He was also a Shriner. After spending over a decade in this organization, he began to see beyond the benevolent veneer he claims this organization hides behind and believes Freemasonry is not what many Masons think it is. He claims that 90% of practicing Masons have no idea of the deception they are involved in. He shares his belief that Freemasonry is an organization that is deceptively being used to give the global consent necessary to carry out a much larger and nefarious worldwide agenda orchestrated by a small group of Luciferian elites. He claims the god of Freemasonry is Lucifer and encourages practicing Masons to dig deeper to find out what they are really involved in. The Working Tools Podcast https://youtu.be/faeKMx-d8dQ Join the Working Tools Podcast Team; WB Steven Chung, VWB David Colbeth, VWB Matthew Appel and WB Jarrod Dunham as we discuss his Masonic Last Request by WB Joeseph Koty with WM Nathan Davis of St. John's Lodge No. 2 in New Brunswick, Canada. =-=-=-= The Message =-=-=-= My brothers, It has been my continuous love of the Craft that has made me the man I am today. I am weary from my Labours, and I am at peace with the Supreme Architect. I would like to extend my warmest fraternal greetings from the Celestial Lodge above to the Brethren of my Lodge, Grand Lodge, and Masons around the world. I have the deepest admiration and respect for all those who have adhered to the main the principles of our profession: Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. To all the brethren of Saint John's Lodge, I wish you all continued success in your journeys and paths in Masonry, wherever they may take you. I have been honoured to participate in our Lodge as Junior Warden over the last two years, and I want to thank our Worshipful Master for getting me excited about coming back to the Lodge, even if only for a short while. It is my enduring hope that all the brothers strive to do their best at not only maintaining the Lodge, but making it thrive and grow, so that it may endure the test of time. I wish I could have done more, but time, it appears, has caught up with me. Stay on your Masonic Journeys, and you will be successful in your endeavours. Mourn not my passing, nor my struggles over the last few months. Remember me as I was in Lodge, and as a brother, with all of the good memories that I have cherished over the decades of service to the craft. Today's guest, Jaime Paul Lamb is an astrologer and tarotist, practicing in the context of the Western Occult Tradition. He has already been on this podcast once before, in Episode 2 of Season 3. He is the author of three books on the subject of Freemasonry and Western Esotericism: Myth, Magick & Masonry: Occult Perspectives in Freemasonry (The Laudable Pursuit, 2018), Approaching the Middle Chamber: The Seven Liberal Arts in Freemasonry and the Western Esoteric Tradition (The Laudable Pursuit, 2020) and The Archetypal Temple and Other Writings on Masonic Esotercism (Tria Prima Press, 2021), and has contributed pieces to anthologies such as The Light Extended: A Journal of the Golden Dawn, Vol. 2 (Kerubim Press, 2020), The Light Extended: A Journal of the Golden Dawn, Vol. 3 (Kerubim Press, 2021) and the soon-to-be-released Collectanea Hermetica: The Astrology of the Golden Dawn (Golden Dawn Research Trust, 2021-22). Quite incredibly two of his books have been placed in the Top 7 of the Southern California Research Lodge's ranking of "Best masonic books of the century"! Lamb's work has appeared in periodicals dedicated to Freemasonry and Western Esotericism such as Knight Templar magazine, Royal Arch Mason magazine, Southern California Research Lodge's Fraternal Review, The Journal of the Masonic Society, Esoteric Mason magazine and many other online and in-print publications. He has been a featured guest on several podcasts in addition to being a co-host and co-founder of Tria Prima podcast. Jaime Paul Lamb is the current Worshipful Master of Ascension Lodge no. 89 F&AM, a Frater of both the Arizona College of the Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis and the Hermetic Society of the G∴D∴. He is based in Arizona where he lives with his wife and their many animals. Find all details on Jaime's work and also how to get his books on his website here! HERE COMES A SPECIAL FEATURE! In the interview's second part, Jaime and I are talking about "Astromusicology", a special way Jaime uses to set a horoscope into music, to say it the easy way. More about this at THIS LINK. In order to give you right away a practical example, Jaime set my personal natal chart into music, and you can hear it in the interview, starting at 1:23:44. CLICK HERE to be linked directly to the right place in the YouTube version) And here is my natal chart... Have fun! Music played in this episode Our guest, Jaime Paul Lamb, is at the origin of all the music you will hear here today. The third piece is just one of his all-time favourites, where former lead-singer of The Velvet Underground Nico with her sultry voice and ice-goddess presence put a spell on Jaime :) The other pieces though see the musician Jaime Paul Lamb at work: first we hear him with the vocals and playing a 60's Vox Jaguar organ with real good ol' Garage Punk. His band is called "Thee Faded Pyctures". And finally, after the interview, that piece is a lenghty natal chard interpretation, like the one he did for Rudolf in the interview. You can find more of that on THIS LINK (click here). 1) BORED AGAIN - Thee Faded Pyctures feat. Jaime Paul Lamb (Track starts at 5:10) 2) SINGING THE WORLD - Thee Faded Pyctures feat. Jaime Paul Lamb (Track starts at 8:40) 3) ROSES IN THE SNOW - Nico (Track starts at 54:14) 3) KAHDKHUDAH - from "The Birth of Iskandar, by Jaime Paul Lamb (Track starts at 1:36:25) Intro and Outro Musicespecially written and recorded for the Thoth-Hermes Podcast by Chris Roberts

We often see Masonic Lodges advancing officers each year like they're playing a game of musical chairs and often without much regard to the leadership capabilities of the brethren. Many lodges (and masons) seem to think that putting Past Masters in any office, especially serving as Worshipful Master again, is a sign of an unhealthy lodge. This creates somewhat of a paradox where we have two mindsets that seem to contradict each other. On one hand we want to keep advancing everyone through the chairs but on the other hand, we become distraught when we have nobody but Past Masters to take an office. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/justin-jones396/support

As the Worshipful Master of the Southern California Research Lodge, Dago Rodriguez points out, one of the most revealing aspects of any individual is their actions, and those actions include the ways we clothe ourselves - every day. The fabrics and accessories that we decide to wear are an expression of our identity. In Masonry, we have our iconic attire such as the Masonic apron, officer jewels, gloves, and more, depending on your jurisdiction. These become the common implements that bind us, but the clothes those items lay over say more about the individual wearing them than anything else. Back in July, we began (or re-began) some very uncomfortable conversations about race in America. Freemasonry's own story in the United States is woven from the threads of race relations among our people. In this episode, we talk with the Reverend Professor Quadricos Driskell, who among his many talents is a health care policy expert, a Baptist minister, a professor who teaches courses on race relations at George Washington University, and is Worshipful Master of his Lodge. It's the beginning of a series of uncomfortable conversations about race and Freemasonry, and Q helps us navigate through it with candor, compassion and courage. It's a conversation that no matter what the pigmentation of your skin happens to be, we all need to be a part of. Originally, we lost Q's audio track, but thanks to some time-consuming forensic reconstruction we were able to restore the damaged file. It's the least we could do.
Greg and Darin discuss the charges to the Master from the Grand Lodge of Illinois A.F. & A.M. Book of Ceremonials for the Installation of Officers, which are given during the installation of the Worshipful Master.

The Worshipful Master is pregnant?! Our baby oracle decides. Marriage according to Jason (and the Bible): one man, and a bunch of women The guys take Nipples to visit another Lodge, then make him wait outside Harlan wears jeans to Lodge and Jason does a psychoanalysis on the situation BlizzCon vs. EVECon, and why we're all nerds Would you visit a Georgia lodge as a gay Mason? What would happen if you did? Jason attempts to raise the rabble and start some fraternal disobedience No pitchforks, no torches . . . can we be done with Georgia now? Prince Hall vs. Blue Lodge buildings Should /r/freemasonry be directing women, atheists, and other non-candidates to irregular bodies? Ponzi and Pansy . . . they aren't the same type of scheme! How is Freemasonry perceived by complete outsiders? Bridging the Gap of Expectations in Freemasonry Avoiding disappointment and making the journey more fulfilling Before Men join Freemasonry, they might have an expectation of what really happens behind closed doors. That expectation, often-times fantastic and unrealistic, tends to be shaped by misinformation and ignorance. A members of this Fraternal organization, we should understand before hand, what people expect of us and how much of those expectations we can actually meet. Are you tired of hearing people bad-mouthing our Order? Did you expect things out of Freemasonry, which never materialized? Is there anything you can do as an individual to curve the erroneous expectations that people have of us? These are some of the questions we explore in this episode of The Winding Stairs and hope that you are able to find good answers that can help you make a real difference. The Candidate Before being given admittance into our Lodges, the candidates might have a very fantastic idea of what really happens behind our closed doors. Doors guarded by a Tyler must be holding back all kinds of awesome, right? Well, although our ritual is amazing and contains great lessons that have the potential of changing a Man's life forever, some candidates might have been aligning their expectations with movies and books, which is a recipe for inevitable disappointment. If we can better understand these preconceived expectations, then we can either work diligently to meet them or help the candidate curve his expectations and shift his focus to the great assets contained within our walls. Some of the things that people expect of our fraternity are supposed to be there but have been either neglected or ignored for various reasons. Here is where we have room for improvement and have the young impressionable mind of the candidate in our hands. The Newly Initiated Brother The newly initiated Brother is thirsty for knowledge and often times overwhelmed by data. It is essential that we understand the individual reasons each new Brother had to knock at our door. Some join for the pride of following in their Father's footsteps, others are desirous of the camaraderie and Brotherly love and others come to fulfill a deep desire for the Esoteric and the knowledge of the ages. With this information in mind, we can ensure that Brothers are receiving that for which they came to Freemasonry and do not leave dissatisfied. Our membership numbers would be much more impressive if everyone made it his commitment to find a Brother and ensure his expectations of Freemasonry are being met. The Lodge Officer Finally, Lodge officers might begin their Journey due East with great expectations of what they will achieve once they are sitting in the Worshipful Master's seat. They might have seen how other Brothers who came before managed their year as Masters and begin crafting a plan to achieve the previously impossible. However, the real focus should be on doing the best work in each of the chairs of the Lodge Officers. Understanding what are the expectations of you as a Lodge Officer in your respective chair, meeting and exceeding at those expectations. Therein lies the great achievement of your Journey due east. That you best worked on every step of the way.
