The House of the Temple is the headquarters for the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction (SRSMJ). Erected on October 18, 1915 and modeled after the Tomb of King Mausolus, the House of the Temple is also one of the most well-known haunted buildings in the nation's capital.
