(31:38) Sixers center Joel Embiid was handed down a three game suspension due to assaulting a columnist. Was it warranted? Paul George gets booed upon his return to LA last night. Was that deserved? Golden State outlasts Boston in their building last night as Steph Curry almost had a triple double. Is there a disconnection in Denver between the head coach, front office and franchise player, Nikola Jokic? (45:15) Is it time to start the Alexander Ovechkin goal scoring watch. He's on a torrid stretch of six goals in five games as he's 34 goals away from breaking Wayne Gretzky's record. Or is it too early to discuss? Plus, the league gets back their best player (Connor McDavid) earlier than expected from a lower body injury. Speaking of which, a big loss in Colorado as former Norris Trophy winner Cale Makar may miss time with an undisclosed injury as the NHL is just about a month into their season. (53:17) The Hot Stove in MLB is a little warm here in the early part of the month. The Yankees stand pat on not extending an extra year to Gerrit Cole's contract as he returns on the same deal he signed before 2020. But will they play hardball in negotiations with their right fielder Juan Soto? The Angels add a pitcher to their roster, but one that won't resonate with their fans in Southern California.
