US forces have executed operation “Midnight Hammer” - a bombing raid targeting Iranian nuclear development sites. The US government has claimed an “obliteration” of Iranian Nuclear assets. However, analysts are skeptical of the actual level of damage dealt. Senior Fellow at the Defence Priority in Washington Gil Barndollar says, “These strikes are unlikely to have destroyed everything,” He said that it's likely Iran would have moved key nuclear components from the raid targets, meaning they would be able to recover from the raid faster than the US would expect. This proposal raises concerns over the blurring of the lines between hate speech and hate crimes, potentially leading to a crackdown on free speech. The governments approach follows a familiar pattern of Problem - Reaction - Solution as a method of social control where a perceived rise in extremism is used to justify increased surveillance and regulation. Without clear definitions, the database could be weaponized to silence dissenting opinions under the guise of combating "Hate". This leads us into the next article by Ethan at TOTTnews.com 'Meta's Fact-Checking Services will Remain Active in Australia'. Again we see the Australian government going the opposite direction to the U.S in terms of allowing more open and free discussion on social media.
