The Marc Cox Morning Show kicks off live from Whitmore Country Club — and Marc Cox comes out swinging. While patriots gather to tee off for Folds of Honor and America's veterans, Democrats are on television declaring Iran the winner of a war that left their military in ruins. Marc dismantles that lie piece by piece. Then — "Go Algae" protesters vandalize the National Mall's reflecting pool, Marine One sends them a message from above, and Judge Jeanine Pirro promises to prosecute every last one of them. Kim St. Onge takes over for Kim on a Whim with a deep dive into the left's obsession with erasing American history — from Tower Grove Park to Baltimore's returning Confederate statues to the 1619 Project sneaking into classrooms. And to cap it all off — the Marc Cox Morning Show plays the audio of Joe Biden proving he had zero idea what Juneteenth was right before he made it a national holiday. Hour 1 is a barn burner — and the show is just getting started. Brian and Glennis are back in studio for week two and a lot just happened. Trump's economic disapproval hit 70%, the highest of his political career. Inflation jumped to 3.8%. Gas hit $4.50 a gallon. The Supreme Court greenlit racial gerrymandering as long as you call it partisan. Five states moved to redraw their maps in seven days. And the President of the United States looked into a camera, on his way to Marine One, and said "I don't think about Americans' financial situation. I don't think about anybody."In this episode, Brian Derrick (Political Strategist and Founder of Oath) and Glennis Meagher (Political and New Media Strategist and Co-founder of Generator Collective) walk through the economic data dump that should be the only thing Democrats talk about: the biggest monthly jump in credit card debt since the pandemic, a savings rate at its lowest level since 2022, consumer sentiment cratering, and 80% of Americans saying Trump's policies are driving up the cost of living in their communities. While he spends a billion dollars on a gold ballroom and proposes a $1.5 trillion military budget, the largest in U.S. history and more than the next ten countries combined. Then the redistricting wave. Brian breaks down all five fronts. The Supreme Court ruling that opened the door. The Virginia Supreme Court body blow that overturned a ballot measure passed by voters and cost Democrats four seats. Tennessee breaking up the city of Memphis. Louisiana pausing a primary 40,000 votes in to redraw the map. Alabama getting a green light to eliminate its only majority Black district. He pulls out the board and walks through the math: Democrats are likely down five additional seats before a single vote is cast, which means flipping the House is now an eight seat lift, not three. The path is still there. He explains why.Plus the bombshell that Iran still has 90% of its missile capacity after $70 billion in U.S. bombing. The Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel circus on Capitol Hill (including Patel demanding $21 billion for the FBI while polygraphing his own agents over leaks). The unconstitutional War Powers Act workaround the Trump administration is trying to pull. The California gubernatorial jungle primary heating up between Tom Steyer, Xavier Becerra, Katie Porter, and Matt Mahan. And the Nebraska Senate move where a Democrat won her primary specifically to drop out and clear the path for independent Dan Osborne, after Pete Ricketts tried to buy the seat by recruiting a fake MAGA Democrat to split the vote. Also: Glennis recounts sitting ten feet from JD Vance and Kash Patel at a USA hockey game in Milan with effectively no security, the Mitch McConnell Capitol Hill moment that even Brian is calling elder abuse, Spencer Pratt running for LA Mayor as a 9/11 truther, the leaked Sam Altman texts that have now turned "directionally very bad" into a meme, and Glennis pitches a startup idea live on the pod called facial DNA.The midterms are six months out and the receipts are piling up - stick with us.Send us a text!New episodes of Vibes Only drop every week. Jim Field visits with Nick Turner, an Elliott native and Griswold graduate, who, after college joined the Marines and became a Marine One pilot. Nick still flies helicopters and is making a re-fueling stop at the Atlantic Airport Saturday, May 9th on his way to an event in Council Bluffs. Nick is flying a Vietnam-era 1961 Sikorsky UH-34D. He anticipates his stop in Atlantic will be for less than half an hour at around 11:00 am - 11:30 am.
-The show opens with presidential trolling at 10,000 feet, as Marine One buzzes a sparsely attended May Day protest—proving nothing says “message received” like a low-flying helicopter and a crowd you can count on one hand. -A passionate segment contrasts political chaos with real heroism, highlighting a police officer who talks a man off a bridge—reminding listeners that while Washington argues, everyday Americans quietly save lives. -Hollywood and media take a hit as the show calls out bias, spotlights a viral anti-establishment mayoral ad, and debates whether modern entertainment has traded humor for hostility (spoiler: the verdict is not flattering). President Trump has announced that there will be a ceasefire in Lebanon where Israel has been engaged in a war with Hezbollah. The US leader said both countries had agreed that a ten day pause in fighting would begin at midnight local time. Mr Trump also said he'd be inviting the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and the Lebanese president, Joseph Aoun to the White House for talks. Also in the programme: As a dispute with the Vatican over the Middle East war continues, President Trump has dismissed comments by Pope Leo who'd said the world was being ravaged by tyrants; and another missing page in the life story of William Shakespeare has been found - the London home he bought three years before he died.(Photo: US President Donald Trump speaks to members of the media on the South Lawn of the White House before departing on Marine One, in Washington, DC on 16 April 2026. President Donald Trump had his first and only state visit with Queen Elizabeth on June 3rd, 2019. It was a meeting he had long anticipated, the ultimate sign that he had made it in life. But what did the Queen think of Trump? Of 113 state visits during her long reign, President Trump had been the last. The impression he'd made, though, may have been overshadowed by the one made by Marine One, which flattened the Queen's garden. Could Trump charm her into giving him the honor of being her favorite American president? USA TODAY Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page joins The Excerpt to discuss her latest book, "The Queen and Her Presidents," on bookshelves now.Let us know what you think of this episode by sending an email to podcasts@usatoday.com. In an embarrassing loss for Trump, a jury took just 35 minutes to side with the defense, agreeing that pointing a cat toy laser at Marine One doesn't merit a felony punishable by up to five years. Dina Doll reports that this DOJ incompetence spends scarce resources on propaganda cases instead of going after real criminals. Max Trescott talks with Ken Solosky, the NYPD's Chief Pilot on 9/11, about his experiences managing helicopter operations on one of the most catastrophic days in American history. Though Ken wasn't flying at the moment of the attacks, he was on the ground coordinating the NYPD's aviation response. He recounts how what began as a seemingly routine aircraft accident quickly escalated into a full-blown national emergency. The aviation unit scrambled a standard rescue package—Bell 412s with divers and crew chiefs, and patrol helicopters—only to face total communication breakdowns. Cell service and landlines failed, radio channels were overloaded, and misinformation, including reports of enemy fighter jets, created unprecedented confusion. Ken recalls the surreal moment of watching the second plane hit the South Tower live on TV and initially being unable to process the reality. He explains why rooftop rescues weren't feasible—smoke obscured visibility, doors were locked or inaccessible, and the risk of engine flameout in the intense heat made the mission too dangerous. Still, he and his team documented the scene extensively and continued daily aerial photography for nearly a year afterward. Ken describes how foreign and domestic aviation units offered immediate support, with helicopters arriving from other cities—even LAPD offering to send their fleet. Yet due to lack of coordination, many of these aircraft were unknown to NYPD at the time and went unused in the response. He speaks candidly about the emotional toll, having lost 10 close friends among the 23 NYPD officers killed, and how that pain continues with the rise in 9/11-related cancer deaths among first responders. Post-9/11, Ken was instrumental in implementing a “96-hour standalone” plan for the NYPD, designed to maintain operations without headquarters support. Staffing schedules were restructured to ensure long-term response capacity. He shares how the aviation unit has evolved over the years—growing from six helicopters to a modern fleet including Bell 429s, a Bell 407 trainer, and a fixed-wing Caravan used for radiation scanning of incoming ships to New York Harbor. Ken also offers a detailed look at what a typical day is like for an NYPD pilot—flying patrol missions, conducting surveillance, responding to foot and vehicle pursuits, and supporting SWAT teams. He explains how the aircraft are equipped with cutting-edge tools like high-def thermal imagers, tactical radios, moving maps, and address-targeting cameras that can zoom in on a license plate from miles away. These tools enable precise coordination with ground teams and real-time intelligence, greatly improving safety and effectiveness. The conversation also delves into pilot recruitment and training, safety management system (SMS) implementation, and Ken's personal advice for those interested in joining a law enforcement aviation unit. He emphasizes that character and work ethic matter just as much as flight hours. In lighter moments, Ken shares stories of flying Barbara Bush to West Point when Marine One had mechanical issues, and being told by Yankees legend Derek Jeter that flying for the NYPD was cooler than being the Yankees' shortstop. He also describes dramatic rescues, like locating a man stranded on a sandbar after his friend swam off—and later finding that friend safe on another island. Ken currently flies both a Bell 407 and an Augusta 109 for corporate clients and continues to teach and speak for the FAA and EAA. His legacy and continued contribution to aviation safety and training are evident throughout the episode. The interview is both a sobering reflection on 9/11 and a celebration of how aviation supports public safety in today's complex world. It's often the rotator blades of Marine One that blare over Donald Trump's voice as he stands near the helipad on the south lawn of the White House. In Turnberry, Scotland, it was bagpipes. Trump, playing host to the British Prime Minister in Britain, performed his now familiar ingratiation ritual as he welcomed Sir Keir and Lady Victoria Starmer to his golf course. “Our relationship is unparalleled,” he said, above the din. He flattered the PM's wife and even suggested, in his delightful nonsensical way, that she is a well-known figure all over the United States. Lucy Dunn is joined by US editor Freddy Gray and political editor Tim Shipman to discuss what the trip means, and what we should make of the Starmer-Trump relationship.Become a Spectator subscriber today to access this podcast without adverts. //The Wire//2300Z June 24, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: MIDDLE EAST CEASEFIRE IMPLEMENTED, IMMEDIATELY BROKEN. MASS SHOOTING PREVENTED OVER THE WEEKEND IN MICHIGAN.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Middle East: Following yesterday's missile attack on Al Udeid Air Base, President Trump announced the implementation of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. This ceasefire was immediately broken.Though the details are hard to verify, in the interest of expediency the following is a rough timeline of how events have unfolded over the past 24 hours.June 23, 1630Z: Iranian forces carried out their counterattack via a ballistic missile strike on Al Udeid Air Base.June 23, 2202Z: President Trump announces the ceasefire terms in a post on Truth Social. In this post President Trump announced the time frames for when the ceasefire was intended to go into effect.June 24 - A few minutes after this announcement, Israeli forces sortied to carry out one of the largest bombing attacks they have conducted, after the ceasefire was announced, but before the ceasefire took effect.June 24 0110Z: Explosions were reported at Evin Prison and at a few others sites around Tehran. At some point during this attack, one Iranian missile was launched (according to President Trump, possibly in error), which did not impact any target in Israel.June 24 - Immediately following this possibly-errant launch (that took place during Israel's attack), Israeli forces planned to conduct a large-scale bombing of Tehran. This raid was to be carried out a day after the ceasefire took effect.June 24, 1128Z - President Trump, assessing that this "bomb everything we can before the ceasefire" mentality expressed by the Israelis was a bad-faith attempt to "cheat" the brokered deal, became belligerent on social media, urging Israeli forces to call off the attack. A few moments later, President Trump (being made aware that Israeli aircraft had already taken off), attempted to salvage the already-violated ceasefire directly by calling Netanyahu to urge him to call off the attack. A few minutes after this phone call, President Trump claimed that he had convinced Netanyahu to call off the attack, and that the Israeli planes would return to base after conducting a "plane wave" (no further information on what that means, but he was possibly referring to a flyby of some kind).June 24, 1257Z - Explosions were reported in Tehran, confirming that Israel ignored President Trump's ceasefire. Israeli media sources claim that instead of dropping all of their bombs (as they had planned) Israeli forces only bombed one target post-ceasefire due to President Trump's phone call. This remains unconfirmed at this time, however reports from locals on the ground claim that a radar site was struck north of Tehran.June 24, 1400Z- After this sortie, President Trump made statements to the media before departing on Marine One for a NATO summit. President Trump confirmed that Israel had broken the ceasefire deliberately, and that Iran had done so as well (but possibly in error).AC: As of this report, the Iranians have not responded to the post-ceasefire strike, and much of the prior details will likely be clarified in due time.-HomeFront-Michigan: On Sunday a mass shooting was successfully stopped by prepared citizens at the Crosspointe Community Church in Wayne. Local authorities state that Brian Anthony Browning approached the Church shortly before services began, and began shooting at the Church building. Upon witnessing the shooting taking place, one of the parishioners of the Church rammed the assailant with their vehicle in the parking lot, after which two armed parishioners returned fire on the suspect, halting the attack. Browning was killed in the attack, and one member of the Church was wounded.AC: Though the threats po

I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties above the fruit America is back. Yes, sir. Inflation Clemson. Fred, what's on your mind this afternoon? I think I have an idea why the Democrats want all these organized criminals, in the country. Alright. Okay. In Venezuela, there's the cartel of the sons, and they've been given free reign by the government to do whatever they wanna do. In return, the cartels persuade the citizenry to vote for the incumbency. Uh-huh. And as far as the opposition is concerned, they either intimidate them or eliminate them. This is long term here. Persuade, and I'm pretty sure they persuade with the threat of violence. Right? Absolutely. So, I mean, you might be right. You you might be right. So what? Yep. That's that's my thoughts on it. When they get back in power, they'll want a cartel of their own. Yeah. You're right about that. I appreciate it, Fred. Yeah. They do, try to employ some cartel tactics. Well, we got some news today about president Joe Biden, former president Joe Biden. He has a small nodule on his prostate that needs further evaluation is according to multiple reports. Of course, Joe Biden, eighty two years old. We certainly hope it's not cancer. We hope that Biden recovers fully and lives a long, healthy life. Absolutely. But his health has been a big concern and was a concern for a long time in his in his last couple of years of his administration. Now here's the thing, though. Everybody this was like the worst kept secret in Washington DC. Everybody was telling you, no. Joe Biden is sharp as attack. Joe I I don't even remember Jen Psaki, wasn't it? Or or was it Karim Jean Pierre? I can't even keep up with the guy. I mean, he's just he's just one big bundle of energy, but now we're finding out that none of that is true. The mainstream media covered up for Joe Biden horribly. Horribly. Remember they always say, oh, he's sharp as a tack sharp as a tack. Yes, sir. I've never seen him sharper. He is just a he's just amazing. And then the debate happened. And once that debate happened, it was out there. All of a sudden, the emperor had no clothes. And even CNN had to sit there, and I remember Van Jones are like, this was a disaster. I don't know how you recover from this, but it was something that the mainstream media kept trying to cover up. And now at least one of them is trying to actually capitalize on this, Jake Tapper. Now I'm gonna be taking a couple of days off coming up at the end of the month and, gonna go down to Coco, my wife and I. Gonna sit on the beach, get a little sun. I'm thinking about getting this book from Jake Tapper. It's called original sin. And the original sin that he talks about in that book is the media's cover up of Joe Biden and just how bad it was. Let's take a listen to Jake Tapper, as he was, being interviewed over on CNN. I'm curious about what his advisers were saying at the time, as you look at this, as you reported out this book. So the White House physician, doctor Kevin O'Connor, was telling White House aids, that president Biden's deterioration of his spine, the degeneration was so significant that if he fell one more time, that he might have to be in a wheelchair and serve in a wheelchair, for his second term. But everybody pushed off the notion that he used a wheelchair until after the election. This is all part of a larger hole where the Biden White House tried to hide the extent of his deterioration, both physical and cognitive, as much as possible. In fact, as you we all know, we all saw, as his shuffling gait got worse and worse from 02/2003 to 02/2004, they started putting aids around him as he walked to Marine One, the helicopter that was to kind of hide from public view how bad his gait was, how bad his wa ...

The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 4: 6:05pm- On Friday night, President Donald Trump spoke with the press briefly before boarding Marine One—where he reacted to his chaotic meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump accused Zelensky of “over playing his hand” and continued to insist the U.S. merely wants “peace.” 6:10pm- What's your favorite Gene Hackman movie? Rich and Justin debate—meanwhile Matt concedes the only Hackman movie he has ever seen is “Welcome to Mooseport.” 6:30pm- On Friday, President Donald Trump invited Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to visit the White House with the intention of holding a joint press conference before signing an agreement that would provide security guarantees to Ukraine in exchange for access to the country's rare earth mineral reserves. However, while speaking with the press in the Oval Office, Zelensky seemingly blamed the United States for ignoring Russian aggression and predations, specifically in 2014. In response, Trump noted that he wasn't in office at that time—and unlike then-President Barack Obama, who provided Ukrainians with “sheets,” the Trump Administration armed Ukraine with javelin missiles. During the heated exchange, Trump stated: “You're gambling with the lives of millions of people. You're gambling with World War III.” At one point, he emphasized “if you didn't have our military equipment this war would have been over in 2-weeks.” According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Zelensky left the White House without signing the negotiated agreement.

It's Monday, October 7th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Muslim employer forces 17-year-old Christian boy to convert The Muslim employers of a 17-year-old Christian who works at their gas company in Pakistan have forcibly converted him to Islam and are holding him in illegal custody, reports MorningStarNews.org. Samina Javed, a brick kiln worker in the Sheikhupura District (in Punjab Province) said her son, Samsoon Javed, began working at a Liquified Petroleum Gas outlet owned by Usman Manzoor in November. Samsoon's father, Falamoon Masih, died in 2018 due to illness, and he is one of four children Javed had from that marriage. She is now married to her second husband with whom she had another son. In July, after he began working at the gas outlet, his family began noticing a change in his behavior. The mother explained, “He began avoiding us and his siblings and didn't speak much when he was at home. We came to know about Samsoon's conversion [to Islam] in September, when he didn't come home from work.” Javed, a member of a local Brethren church, said that they were able to see Samsoon after a few days when his Muslim employer was not present at the shop. She explained, “Samsoon kept silent and avoided eye contact when we asked him about his conversion. It was quite clear that he was scared and under pressure. He told us to leave, saying [his boss] would be angry if he saw us there.” They later learned from contacts that the Manzoor brothers had been taking their son to an Islamic spiritual guide (Pir), where he was pressured to abandon his Christian faith. Acts 16:31 says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” Please pray that Samina Javed would be able to regain custody of her 17-year-old son Samsoon in Pakistan to enable him the freedom to follow Christ. Biden unsure which storm people have just endured Last Wednesday, President Joe Biden took an aerial tour of the damage from Hurricane Helene with the North Carolina Governor and Asheville Mayor. Flying in his helicopter, known as Marine One, he viewed the visible destruction including buildings that had been flattened, trees knocked down, and houses submerged under water. The next evening, a reporter asked Biden about the impact of Hurricane Helene. Let me play the audio. Because the sound of the plane is so loud in the background, I will repeat what was said. REPORTER: “What do the states in the storm zones need, Mr. President?” PRESIDENT BIDEN: “What?” REPORTER: “What do the states in the storm zone -- what do they need after what you saw today?” BIDEN: “Oh, in the storm zone.” REPORTER: “Yes sir.” BIDEN: “I didn't know which storm you were talking about. They've got everything they need. And they're very happy across the board.” Truth be told, the people hit by Hurricane Helene, especially those in North Carolina, are not very happy across the board. Clearly, Biden is out of touch with reality. DeSantis sent Florida Guard to North Carolina, first help they received Appearing on Fox News with Harris Faulkner, Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis explained that after the Florida Guard had completed their Hurricane Helene rescues in Florida, he authorized the military personnel to rescue North Carolinians. DeSANTIS: “I authorized air assets, National Guard, state guard, Highway Patrol, to go into western North Carolina. So, it created this odd circumstance where the first people that they come in contact with is some state guard unit from Florida and not any of the federal assets. I don't think the federal assets were marshaled very quickly at all. “But the lesson that I think people should take from this is one we learned in Florida long ago. We don't rely on FEMA – [Federal Emergency Management Association] -- to do any of that type of activity. We rely on FEMA to basically be a bank account. There's federal programs in place. We get our people qualified for individual assistance, reimbursement for some of the debris, but we take the matters into our own hands for the preparation and the rescue and response. I just think it's sad.” In addition, The Wall Street Journal reports that homeowners are rushing to file insurance claims after Hurricane Helene left a trail of destruction across six states. Many of them will likely be left empty-handed. In recent years, property insurers have hollowed out coverage and sharply increased rates to make up for steep underwriting losses driven by natural disasters. Melania Trump champions abortion in new memoir And finally, last Thursday, Donald Trump said he gave his blessing for his wife Melania Trump to endorse a “fundamental right” to abortion in her upcoming memoir, at a time when relations are already strained between the GOP ticket and the party's pro-life base, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Earlier this week, an advance excerpt of the former First Lady's book was published, in which she declares that a “woman's fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes. Restricting a woman's right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body.” Sadly, Melania disregards the humanity of the children in the womb created by God. In Jeremiah 1:5, God said, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” Fox News asked Trump for his reaction. FOX NEWS: “What's your reaction to Melania's memoir championing abortion rights and reproductive freedom?” TRUMP: “We spoke about it and I said you have to write what you believe. I'm not going to tell you what to do. You have to write what you believe. “She's very beloved. People love our former First Lady, I can tell you that. But I said you have to stick with your heart. I've said that to everybody. You have to go with your heart. “There are some people that are very, very far right in the issue, meaning without exceptions. And then there are other people that view it a little bit differently than that.” Mrs. Trump's pro-abortion declaration comes the same week her husband clarified he “would not support a federal abortion ban, under any circumstances, and would, in fact, veto it.” Trump tweeted those outrageous comments while J.D. Vance, his VP pick, was debating Tim Walz in New York last Tuesday. Trump now opposes further federal action on abortion, supports letting the Abortion Kill Pill to be distributed by mail, and has criticized pro-life states for overly “harsh” abortion bans. The former president has taken credit for making the GOP “less radical” on abortion, including by having the national Republican Party platform rewritten to reflect his more liberal position. Politico reported that multiple prominent pro-life figures were frank in their disapproval. Family Research Council president Tony Perkins said, “It is not a pro-life position, it's not an acceptable position, and it does not provide the contrast on this issue to the degree that we have had in the past between him and Kamala Harris. What President Trump is doing is suppressing his own support.” Students for Life of America chief policy strategist Kristi Hamrick said, “President Trump keeps saying that he wants to be out of the federal business of abortion. So, number one, stop funding it.” And Live Action founder and leader Lila Rose lamented, “Unfortunately, it seems like Trump doesn't care about the pro-life base anymore. He came out recently and said that he supported access to these deadly abortion drugs, and that is horrific. When Trump is publicly compromising, it's deeply discouraging to pro-life and pro-family voters, and I think that he's putting his own election in jeopardy. Quite frankly, this is a losing strategy.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, October 7th, in the year of our Lord 2024. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (01/30/2024): 3:05pm- According to a report from Punchbowl News' Jake Sherman, the Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) for “misspending of federal security money.” The House Sergeant at Arms has been subpoenaed for records relating to the allegations. 3:10pm- In a New York Times editorial, Clark D. Cunningham—a law professor at Georgia State University—explains the legal consequences for the alleged improper relationship between lead prosecutor in the Donald Trump Georgia election interference criminal case, Nathan Wade, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Cunningham writes: “Mr. Wade was very involved in both the special grand jury investigation and the current criminal case, despite an absence of obvious qualifications. Although Ms. Willis has defended her decision to hire Mr. Wade, his previous experience as a prosecutor appears to have been largely limited to misdemeanors. The amount paid to Mr. Wade so far is substantial yet Mr. Wade's billing invoices obtained by Mr. Roman's lawyer are not well documented and don't always offer, for example, itemized time worked in increments of less than one day. If Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade are dismissed by Judge McAfee, it will be up to a state agency, the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia, to appoint a prosecutor to take over from Ms. Willis. And that's where things could really go off the rails. Take one precedent: On July 25, 2022, Ms. Willis was disqualified from prosecuting Burt Jones, who was then a state senator, after she hosted a fund-raiser for Mr. Jones's eventual opponent in the race for lieutenant governor. Eighteen months later, the PACGA still hasn't appointed a special prosecutor, and Mr. Jones, now lieutenant governor, has not even been indicted. Delay is not even the worst possible outcome for the case if Ms. Willis is disqualified. A special prosecutor could decide to reduce or dismiss charges against some or all of the defendants, including Mr. Trump.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/24/opinion/fani-willis-trump-georgia.html 3:20pm- Michael R. Gordon of The Wall Street Journal writes: “Three U.S. service members were killed and at least 34 were injured in an Iran-backed militia's drone strike on a base in northeast Jordan, U.S. officials said on Sunday, marking the first American troops killed in hostile action since the start of the Hamas-Israeli conflict in Gaza. A U.S. official said that the attack took place overnight at Tower 22, a small outpost near the Syria border. The drone struck living quarters for the troops, contributing to the high casualties, a U.S. official said. The strike, which was carried out by a one-way attack drone, signals an escalation in the fighting in the region. The president and secretary of defense said the U.S. would retaliate.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/three-u-s-troops-killed-in-drone-attack-in-jordan-b45ddb6b?mod=hp_lead_pos1 3:25pm- While speaking with Vice News in 2020, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden claimed that then-President Donald Trump would “get us into a war with Iran” as a way to distract from his reelection troubles. 3:30pm- Speaking with the press outside of the White House before boarding Marine One, President Joe Biden accused Iran of being responsible for Sunday's drone attack in Jordan which left three U.S. service members dead. 3:40pm- Zenebou Sylla and Elizabeth Wolfe write: “A Pennsylvania jury handed down a $2.25 billion verdict against Monsanto and its parent company, Bayer, after determining its Roundup herbicide product caused a man's cancer, the plaintiff's lawyers announced…The jury delivered its verdict, which includes $2 billion in punitive damages, in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court on Friday after concluding Roundup ‘is a defective cancer-causing product, that Monsanto was negligent, and that Monsanto failed to warn about the dangers' of the weed killer, the law firm [Kline & Specter] said.” You can read the full article here: https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/29/us/roundup-cancer-verdict-philadelphia-bayer-monsanto/index.html 3:50pm- A Florida man is suing Combos snacks parent company Mars Inc. for deceptive marketing—arguing that there is not enough real cheese in the snack food. 4:05pm- Dr. EJ Antoni—Economist & Research Fellow in The Heritage Foundation's Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest editorial, “The Fed's Powell Will Have to Play Politics to Keep His Job.” Dr. Antoni writes: “When [Chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome] Powell was up for renomination, he dutifully kept interest rates below 1% percent and exploded the Fed's balance sheet, barely keeping it below $9 trillion in an unprecedented act of money creation. When asked about raising interest rates three-quarters of a percent in the face of 40-year-high inflation, Powell said such a move was off the table and called inflation ‘transitory'… Once the Senate confirmed him for a second term as chairman, however, Powell promptly delivered four of those three-quarter-percent interest rate hikes in a row and began reducing the Fed's balance sheet to belatedly fight runaway inflation.” You can read Dr. Antoni's full editorial here: https://www.heritage.org/monetary-policy/commentary/the-feds-powell-will-have-play-politics-keep-his-job 4:35pm- The Florida House of Representatives has passed legislation that would ban minors under the age of 16 from accessing social media. In response, Governor Ron DeSantis suggested he may veto the bill should it arrive at his desk, explaining: “To say that someone that is 15 just cannot have [access to social media] no matter what, even if the parent consents, that may create some legal issues.” You can read more here: https://www.tallahassee.com/story/news/politics/2024/01/26/desantis-concerned-over-breadth-of-house-social-media-legislation/72368316007/ 4:45pm- Should government ban children from being able to access social media? Or are parents responsible to monitor when, and how, their kids use social media? Listeners react to Florida's proposed legislation. 5:05pm- Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & President of the Bork Communication Group—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss Amazon's blocked acquisition of Roomba manufacturer iRobot. Progressives, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), had argued that the proposed acquisition would irreparably harm competing robot vacuum brands. Antitrust regulators in the European Union have helped American progressives successfully kill the $1.7 billion deal. Following the deals collapse, iRobot—a Massachusetts based company—was forced to lay off 350 employees. You can learn more about the Antitrust Education Project here: https://www.antitrusteducationproject.org/about-aep/ 5:20pm- During a recent House hearing, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) accused Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump—as well as House Republicans—of wanting to place alligator filled moats along the U.S.-Mexico border to deter people from crossing illegally. 5:35pm- Andrew C. McCarthy—Senior Fellow at National Review Institute & Author of “Ball of Collusion: The Plot to Rig an Election and Destroy a Presidency”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest article, “Record Number of Illegal Aliens Entered the U.S. in December.” McCarthy writes: “A mind-blowing 371,000 illegal aliens were ‘encountered' by border agents in December 2023, a new record. This includes nearly a quarter million illegal aliens apprehended crossing the southern border, also a new record that smashed the former high mark (achieved, of course, under Biden border policies) of 224,400 in May 2022. The December number is a 23.5 percent increase over the number of ‘migrants encountered' at the border in November.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/record-number-of-illegal-aliens-entered-the-u-s-in-december/. And you can find information about his book here: https://www.encounterbooks.com/books/ball-of-collusion/. 5:50pm- Where does buffalo mozzarella cheese come from? Henry and Rich debate. 6:05pm- While speaking with Vice News in 2020, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden claimed that then-President Donald Trump would “get us into a war with Iran” as a way to distract from his reelection troubles. 6:10pm- While speaking at the University of California Berkeley School of Law, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor criticized the court's conservative-lean and told students that “every loss truly traumatizes me in my stomach and in my heart. But I have to get up the next morning and keep on fighting.” You can read more here: https://www.mediaite.com/news/justice-sotomayor-laments-supreme-courts-right-turn-every-loss-truly-traumatizes-me/ 6:30pm- Brittany Bernstein of National Review writes: “The New York City Council voted to override Mayor Eric Adams's veto of a bill that will force police officers to document most interactions they have with the public. The bill will require officers to record details on the apparent race, gender, and age of people they stop, including when they are only asking for information from someone who may be a witness to a crime.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/nyc-council-overrides-mayors-veto-of-bill-requiring-police-to-document-public-interactions/ 6:40pm- According to a report from Punchbowl News' Jake Sherman, the Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) for “misspending of federal security money.” The House Sergeant at Arms has been subpoenaed for records relating to the allegations. One of her security guards has claimed that he has the ability to create tornadoes and can strike his opponents with lightening—Rep. Bush has paid him nearly $150,000. 6:50pm- While appearing on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow, E. Jean Carrol awkwardly joked that she intends to spend Donald Trump's money on new clothes and a penthouse. Last week, a Manhattan jury awarded Carrol $83 million in a defamation suit she filed against the former president. Trump has vowed to appeal the verdict.
