Today we'll try to understand what are the new emerging Leadership Models. with Celine Schillinger and Charles Matheus. It's clear to say that our global health crisis has put our leaders to the test and many failed not understanding the new societal values. As a result, the pandemic just gave many workers an opening to act on these shifting values. One of those is the way we see leadership. We used to believe that a leader was the one person having the ultimate power and authority without having to consult others. As a consequence, we've created a culture that is all about tangible results and high performing teams which no longer serves us because it's sacrificing our well-being and the well-being of our planet. Therefore, It's time to shift to a new leadership model, one in which each employee can succeed through their work and their creativity to lead a life of meaning and dignity. Our Panelists:Celine Schillinger, Author of "Dare to un-Lead", https://weneedsocial.com/Charles Matheus, Leadership speaker and host of the Remaking Manhood Podcast, https://www.charlesmatheus.comVirginie Glaenzer, Fractional CMO at AcornOak and podcast host, https://www.acornoak.net/You can also find the speakers on Twitter:@VirginieG @matheus_charles @celineschill

What New forms of Education are emerging?

The pandemic gave us a chance to reflect on our education obsolete processes and methodologies: Based on our Industrial Revolution, our current system focuses on IQ in a one-size-fits-all model to “produce citizens ready to take part in employment processes that are destructive to the environment we live within” as Nora Bateson shared during our Episode #23. As a result, many people feel an urgency to find alternative models to better support their children's needs. We are witnessing across the world a number of education initiatives from individuals, teachers and parents to collectivities in cities and states. This diversity of initiatives is essential to create critical thinking and brings momentum through a snowball effect that is revolutionizing our education system. One of the challenges for people leading these initiatives is a feeling of loneliness. Today, we'll have a discussion with several founders of new educational initiatives and, in an unscripted discussion, our small group will attempt to address the following questions: 1. What is essential to learn in life?2. What behaviors do we learn at school traditionally aside from academic contents?3. How do your school or/and program support the essential learning in life and better suit students for the needs of our planet?OUR PANELISTSKristen Simonson, Founder of The Sage Creek Prairie School https://m.facebook.com/sagecreekprairieschool/https://sagecreekprairieschool.ca/ Max Noble, founder of Founder of TMAXRDwww.tmaxrd.educationwww.facebook.com/swiftcurrentcreationstationHeather McTaggart, Director of Unscholingschool.comhttps://www.unschoolingschool.com/https://www.facebook.com/groups/470352773920861

Our current education system is built on the Industrial Revolution model and focuses on IQ, in particular memorization and standardization, and a one-size-fits-all model. The pandemic offers a chance to reflect on habitual established processes and methodologies and question how they can develop the future of learning in education and the workplace. The education transformation is going to start with those who can let go of what it traditionally means to educate, teach, and acquire knowledge. A key point in the mindset shift will be to notice the difference between knowledge acquisition tasks and activities vs. learning experiences. In our twenty second episode, our guests discuss how the pandemic has disrupted our education model and the various emerging opportunities causing the world of education to experience a profound and attempt to answer the following questions:1- What might the lessons of the Pandemic be for a learning revolution?2- How do we re-instilling curiosity and persevere with creating new models?3- How do we unlearn the inertia, triggers, and cues of our formal education?Speakers:Shauna Anderson, Co-founder, President at USCHOOL.com, https://www.uschool.com/Nora Bateson, Award-winning filmmaker, writer and educator President of the International Bateson Institute, https://batesoninstitute.org/Luz Olid Diaz, Founder at Evolving Education and co-founder at Global Innovation Path, https://evolvingeducation.org/en/home/Joseph Callender, Agile and system thinker, https://www.linkedin.com/in/callenderjoseph/Virginie Glaenzer, Fractional CMO at AcornOak and podcast host, https://www.acornoak.net/You can also find the speakers on Twitter: @NoraBateson @ShaunaSSCS @JECallender @evolvingeduorg @VirginieG

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S, affecting 40 million adults over the age of 18.When our habits are disrupted, our jobs are disappearing, our relationships are tested, and our truths are questioned, we wonder, what remains? When everything has gone haywire and nothing makes sense anymore, what’s left is love. But, how do we define love after all is gone? Love is more than a feeling that a person has for another person. It’s an intimate relationship between ourselves and the world. So, when that world is breaking apart, what is love, after all?
