His new bestselling book, The Journey to Your Ultimate Self, serves as an inspiring gateway into deeper Jewish thought. He is the founder and CEO of Self-Mastery Academy, the transformative online self-development course based on the principles of Torah, high-performance psychology, and leadership. “What social media does is it creates an identity that is a mirror of something outside of yourself. So you become something other than you are because your sense of identity is harnessed from something outside of yourself.” When Shmuel started gaining more clarity of his journey 2:32What's unique about what Shmuel is saying 10:43What transformative experience Shmuel hopes his students gain 19:00How technology and social media has influenced his business 26:29 Success is often defined in financial terms 39:42The greatest gift you can give to your children 51:56“So many people, their worst nightmare is being alone in a room by themselves because they can't stand themselves. Today I have a very special guest on the podcast, Rabbi Reuven Epstein, who is known and respected as an authority on building great marriages. Backed by rabbis worldwide, he and his wife, Gitty, have helped hundreds of individuals and couples create mutual understanding, healthy communication, deep connection, and growing intimacy in their marriage. Many couples are in a state of coexistence where they are both living together, but are in their own worlds and are often out of sync with the individual needs of one another. Marriage is where you’re not only doing the day to day things to keep things function, but you’re tuning into the other person, their needs, wants, and desires, and you’re giving it to them without expecting anything in return, but it’s a direct giving, meaning you’re there by their side and spending your own time with them and for them. The main themes and problems Reuven sees today 5:46 The 5 Love Languages and achieving a good marriage 14:56 Where to start 17:21 Using I language 27:00 The difference of men and women with role play 29:16 What most people do in a relationship 36:09 How he wants to be remembered 45:07 Learn more about Reuven 51:51 “It’s them vs you, or you vs them and as long as it’s 2 units, the marriage has not yet fulfilled its potential. So just with that basic understanding, most couples start to realize, ‘Oh wow, I never really understood what marriage is.’ Marriage is a lifelong journey of two people slowly meshing and becoming a totally new unit. So when you recognize that, now you at least have your goal, and then you need the steps to make it happen.” 10:05https://marriagepro.co/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today I speak with president of the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, podcast and talk show host, Jesse Lee Peterson. We discuss the large issue of today being that many people are claiming to be a victim of what has happened to them and have turned away from God, causing them to have a very selfish view of the world and those around them. Jesse grew up working on a plantation during the Jim Crow laws, but his parents and grandparents never taught him to see himself as a victim, but to work hard and believe in God. The main thing being pushed under the rug is the family, which is being attacked at every angle and is the major cause of problems in our society today. Overcoming fear and putting God first is the one way to fix what is happening right now. In this episode I have the pleasure of speaking with transformational teacher Kute Blackson, the author of New York Times Best Seller “You. Are. The. One.” Kute had a lot of expectations he was “supposed” to live up to, but when he looked at his future, seeing himself becoming successful while doing something that wasn’t true to who he was, he only saw unhappiness, so that’s when he had to make a change. He helps people understand where they stand with themselves and in life by recognizing their own pain, where it’s coming from, and how to deal with it in order to become free from this pain. People stay in relationships, jobs, or other situations out of fear and because they don’t want to experience pain. Some people might blame outside factors, but we have to get people to look at the reality of life because life doesn’t lie. The truth will set you free. One trick to start on the path to more happiness is just allowing yourself to recognize the truth without having to take action. Just accept the truth and stop trying to run away from it and that will be the beginning of breaking out of this unhappy state. Why Kute does what he does 3:30 Helping people understand why they don’t feel fully alive or are in pain 11:37 Start by radically telling the truth to yourself 19:59 Gaining the desire to help people 25:15 Realizing your true self and purpose 35:10 Staying on the same message with success 44:38 His greatest desire 56:41 “The degree to which we are conditioned is the degree to which we are not free. And the degree to which we are conditioned is which we are not free to choose, that we’re not free to be aware, we’re not free to truly meet the moment and be present, and so what I help people do is become aware of their conditioning and live from the freedom of their essence and their true self, and their authenticity.” 6:58 @kuteblackson https://kuteblackson.com/ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

These deaths otherwise could have been avoided if people never got the treatment in the first place. He explains why non-conventional medicine is seen as taboo and held back from being recommended by the grand majority of doctors. There are countless ailments and illnesses out there that could be prevented if the modern medical world would be willing to talk about it. Unfortunately most people aren’t educated about these things and just do what their doctor is telling them to do, which is the thing that will make their doctor the most money. He tells about the people who affected his life and influenced him forward. “Stop using being a product of your environment as an excuse to fail” (Dominique’s mom). We talk about His dunk contest and injury, and how he was able to come back full force afterward and do even better than he had previously done professionally. Dominique tells us about his rivalry with Michael Jordan and how competitive they were with each other. Work on the things you’re weakest at and have a good attitude. 3) Continue to build relationships, but they gotta be real and organic. 4) Keep yourself away from things that won’t bring value into your life. He tells about his legacy and that he wants people to remember how hard he worked, but also he wants to have helped a lot of people along the way.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Dennis Prager | Choosing to Be Happy in an Increasingly Unhappy World

Today I discuss with Dennis about how there are millions of people drinking the kool aid of a message imparted by proverbial pop culture, in the secular media, which has caused millions of people to live lives of quiet desperation. There is a narrative today that pain and hardship should be avoided and people should be focusing all their energies and efforts on immediate happiness. The Declaration of Independence states that men have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Dennis states happiness must be pursued and poses the question, “What good thing in life doesn’t have to be pursued?” You don’t have to pursue video games, or sleeping in late every day. “We are as happy as we decide to be” (Abraham Lincoln). You become the person like whom you act. If you act happy, and do happy things, you will become happier. “Unhappy people don’t want to be around unhappy people. That’s the joke! ‘You should want to be around me, but I would not want to be around me.’ It’s so selfish that it’s angering actually” (12:12). Young people crave older people to give them wisdom, and the notion that young people only want to hear from other young people is false. The moment you say anything, one sentence, in order to be liked, you are no longer authentic. You must answer to no one, but God, if you believe in him. Your children should respect you, but they don’t have to like you. Never do anything just to get them to like you. Your biggest struggle in life is not with America, or your parents, but with you and your own nature. The sickness of our time is people walking around seeking to blame outsiders for their sadness, or misery, or failure. In secular education you learn that your biggest problem is society and America. In religious education your biggest problem is you.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
