If you are paying attention to the historical timeline in your life, there are growth patterns you'll notice.  Some are interrupted by revelations along the way that allow you to switch direction from your intended focus. At times, they seem like the only choice, and sometimes, they were the best choice.  As human beings on a journey in this lifetime, for those of us who have awakened to the fact we're alive, we have a responsibility to become a better version of ourselves.  It's not enough to simply be good with good enough.   There's always room for improvement.  In this episode, Pedro takes a reflective look at where he started in his life in his early 20s as a spoiled party boy living life high on the hog.  When he moved to Dallas back in the fall of 2019, Pedro didn't realize he would be on a mission to transform his life.   He had started a digital marketing agency and then pivoted into real estate where he began to grow a team. He wasn't enjoying that model, so he made a different decision and stayed in Real Estate, but decided to do it differently.  Today, Pedro reflects back on all of the challenges he's faced and the gratitude he feels in realizing that his personal development journey has led him to one place that surround him with millionaires and billionaires.  He has recognized the level of hard work, tenacity, and the number or repetitions required to stay focused and keep plowing through the distractions of this world.  If you're going to be a beast in your family, life, and command the treasures of this world, you have to become someone who can manage all of that by becoming a good steward.  It's imperative you answer the call to personal responsibility and getting into the rooms of those who have more experience, wisdom, and who have been charged with being great stewards of wealth and success.     How to Get Involved:  From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, leaving everything behind seeking answers to turn his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business. There are a lot of fake people running around in the world.  Many of them are appropriating lifestyles of the rich and famous with luxury cars, watches, mansions, lavish trips, and flashing money as if they've "made it." Some of them identify as "self-made," and others say they're "entrepreneurs."  The truth is, most of them are full of shit.  They're the modern-day version of beachfront property-selling real estate agents in Arizona. Many of them are fakes and they're trying to separate you from their money by offering their courses, promoting their investment schemes, or trying to coax you into coaching with them for the next 5 years to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars.   When it comes to the hierarchy of badasses, Entrepreneurs are some of the toughest people on the planet.  It would be easier for them to take a nice fat salaried job, working 9-5, but they want more.  The reason.......they can handle more.   More pressure, more tasks, more risks, and more uncertainty than the average person.  In order to be a true entrepreneur, you have to have a vision bigger than yourself. They have to be willing to put others before themselves, even if it means they don't get paid for a few months.  They pour their time, energy, attention and talents back into the business.   It requires them to be leaders.  There is little to no room for mistakes, and there's a huge margin for learning lessons to get the experience to become the authority that builds relationships to support their endeavors.   This episode provides a great perspective on what it takes to become someone that can be known, liked, and trusted in the world.    How to Get Involved:  From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, leaving everything behind seeking answers to turn his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business. If you're going to attain greatness in your life, you really need to focus on a few things.  If you're not content with being average in your life, there is no finish line when you're pursuing greatness.  Greatness requires you to continue doing the hard work even when you don't want to.  On the days you want to give up, you have to find a source of inspiration to keep pushing forward.  You're going to get discouraged.  Losses in business and friendship will occur, but if you just keep going one more step using everything you have within you, you'll be unstoppable.  So what does it take to attain greatness?  Producing content for social media every single day.  It's the quickest way to reach the masses.   It's where you'll find all the eyeball and attention you need to allow people to get to know you.  Like you.  Trust you.  Tell them about your goals.  Dreams. Visions for your life.  Greatness requires you knowing what it takes to prepare and then do 1% better every day. It's not enough to simply close your eyes and want or wish for something.  It takes a dogmatic approach to doing the little things which become the bigger things, which then turn into the greatest thing you've been trying to create.  Whatever you do, don't quit.  Winners never quit.  They just become great!    How to Get Involved:  From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, leaving everything behind seeking answers to turn his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business. Over the last few years, we've had challenges in society with all the distractions in society, politics, scandals, and the cleansing of the evil in the world.  To date, it's still a distraction. Turn on the news and the only thing you see is 90% negativity.  The programming is how they keep us as human beings on leashes in hopes we won't fight, but simply accept what they're serving up to us.  In this episode, Pedro shares:  Why it's important to stay strong through the struggle and the overall vision you should focus on A few things you can do to insulate yourself from the common everyday attempts at forcing us back into a "regular life."  Things you can do to help others power through to success in those same struggles The correlation in life that is connected to everything  Remember, no matter where you're going in life, you're going to encounter some type of struggle. There's going to be resistance, fear, doubt, and imposter syndrome.  Those aren't the times you need to be concerned about. Stay focused and don't let yourself fall down the rabbit hole of despair.   Stay strong.  Fight back, and set yourself and your family up for huge success.  If you quit, you won't get there.   Stay steady and power through and you'll win every single time!  How to Get Involved:  From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, leaving everything behind seeking answers to turn his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business. Things change constantly in life.  Technology speeds up this process and things happen faster and faster compared to any time in human history. Last week, Meta released their version of Twitter called "Threads."  That's not the only thing that happened, either.  Pedro and his wife Kayla learned they are having a girl, and even picked out a name. Such is the essence of life. A thought is inspired to action.  Action creates motion, and motion creates movement and impact.  In this episode, Pedro shares the initial iteration of Chronicles of a Modern Beast which was called the Business Brewing Show.  While he was gaining popularity with it in helping fellow brewers market better, he had this nagging voice in the back of his head that told him to get his real estate license. It wouldn't go away.  His previous podcast wasn't converting into clients you would expect from growing popularity, so Pedro listened to his voice.  In this episode, Pedro shares the importance of staying focused on the main things.  Being on social media can be a huge distraction if you're not carefully managing your time.  There are people who are on all of the platforms, but don't have the followers or financial success to equate to the time and attention invested on them.  Pedro shares a profound perspective on the importance of why it's important to streamline where you focus your attention and keep the main thing, the main thing.    How to Get Involved:  From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, leaving everything behind seeking answers to turn his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business. Sometimes, the truth hurts, but it needs to be heard and spoken.  There are so many people who have forgotten one of the biggest commandments in the Bible...............You Shall Have No Other Idols above me. It's one of the 7 Deadly sins to covet or want to put someone or anything above the Creator, God, the Universe, or whatever you want to call it.  Our society has become sickened with spending money for access to information and then taking no action with it. That's wasteful.  It's a pattern many follow and many of those people are broke.  I hear people say they want to be millionaires, but they're not doing the things they need to do to become a millionaire. It requires consistency, dedication, and the willingness to sacrifice.  If you want more, you have to become more.  It requires acquiring the skillsets to be a better manager of your resources.   Only doing thing things that will return you an effective result.  There is no human being walking this earth that is better than you.  Has access to more information than you. If you ever have trouble sorting through all of this, you can always reach out to me. I'm happy to have a conversation with you.  Life is a lot simpler when you get committed to what you're committed to daily, weekly, and monthly.  The next step is simply putting your head down and doing the work.  #StayHard #LiveHard     How To Get Involved: From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, leaving everything behind seeking answers to turn his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business. In this episode, Pedro breaks down a few key things you may or may not be struggling with. We are all born into a system.  It doesn't matter what country, or state we were born in, and it doesn't matter the socioeconomic conditions.  Being born is the leveling field. Once we get here, wherever we land is where we get injected into "the system."  The one thing we have is a choice.  The choice to make decisions.  The mind is the one thing that cannot be caged unless you choose it.  Many of us spend half our lives deciding if we're going to live in "the system," or take different paths. Some work 9-5 jobs and are quite content living a hum-drum existence, and others are constantly weaving and moving through life, climbing over obstacles to see what we can see on the other side of the wall of life.  Some are rooted and driven by purpose, money, power, prestige, lust, and a multitude of other earthly motivators.  But there are some that are not easily seduced by the things of this earth.  They are entrepreneurs.  The good ones are driven by purpose. They've answered the call of obligation only weaved in their DNA.  The type of obligation to congregate to help those answer their calls to service, stoicism, in benevolence, and with the highest level of accountability unknown by any other being than God Himself.  Everything starts with self-accountability.  What You'll Learn:  The importance of self-accountability  Why it's necessary to take care of our finances, health, time, and our circle Powerful ways to get on track and a system for keeping yourself accountable How to find the discipline necessary to stay focused, and consistent  Managing negative self-talk that takes us off track and away from hitting our goals  Why it's necessary for us to work with other like-minded people and entrepreneurs to help them in their journeys Favorite Quote:  "People think that other people owe them shit and they don't take accountability for their actions."    -Pedro Meneses   How To Get Involved: From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, leaving everything behind seeking answers to turn his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business.      In this day of distractions and turmoil, it's so important to keep a tight grip on clarity.  This starts with you asking yourself a simple question.......What do you want?   If you're not clear on this, everything you don't want is coming for you.  The opposing forces of everything you don't want are going to come in fast like a sledgehammer looking to create destruction and keep you from getting back up on your feet.  Be clear about what you want.  Write it down.  It doesn't have to be perfect but put something down that you want in your life.     It can be something in business, your personal life such as your marriage, fitness, or maybe you're focused on taking that dream vacation you've always talked about taking. No matter what it is, write it down.    In order to do this, you have to get out of your comfort zone.    Key Lessons Take time to download thoughts and gain clarity Master the basics Improve by one percent every day Summary In this episode, Pedro talks about the importance of getting creative, stepping out of your comfort zone, and being defiantly defiant about not allowing anything to steal your clarity.    Clarity is key when starting a business, as confusion can lead to distractions. Focus and understanding the right time to implement opportunities is the key to success. Take time to gain clarity and focus by stepping back and taking a break.    Take a weekend off if necessary, and write down your thoughts to download your thoughts and gain clarity. Take time to download your thoughts, remind yourself why you started, and align daily actions to get closer to your goal. Focus on the basics and stick to what you've become good at   Delegate the other stuff you're not good at and take it one day at a time. Focus on what you need to do today and don't lose your focus. If you lack clarity in your life, take a step back, think and download your thoughts, and realign your daily actions to your goals   Master the basics, take one day at a time, and focus on one thing at a time. One thing you have to remember is you're human. You're going to make decisions based on the information you have......and you're going to make mistakes.  It is essential to recognize our progress and growth and take risks to achieve success by committing fully to our plan A and not allowing ourselves to have a plan B. Taking action and making decisions to reach our goals is key, and we should work hard and live hard to accomplish our dreams.   Key Lessons Recognizing our progress and growth is essential to achieve success. Taking action and making decisions to reach our goals is key. We should work hard and live hard to accomplish our dreams. Summary We're discussing how important it is to have grace on oneself, instead of being hard on oneself. Making mistakes is part of the process of growth and development, and it's important to recognize that and forgive oneself for them. There's gratification in seeing one's progress and evolution, and it can be helpful to look back and see how far one has come   Becoming successful and wealthy requires time, work, and patience. Recently, Pedro and his wife realized how much they have accomplished and grown. It is important to give credit to yourself and plan ahead without any other options   Pedro shares his journey from when he left Guatemala 10 years ago and the one thing he did to keep himself from going back to comfort, safety, and predictability.  Nothing great happens in your comfort zone.    Taking risks and burning the ships is key to success. Pedro stopped allowing himself to have options, and when he moved to Dallas with nothing, his wife suggested getting a job, but he refused because it would limit their potential. Instead, he got creative and started delivering food, and groceries and creating an app to make it more effective.    You must commit to your plan A and burn the boats to achieve success. Don't allow yourself to have a plan B or you will be disappointed in yourself. Take the steps necessary to reach your goal and don't give up   Don't let yourself have options, just go and do whatever it is you want to accomplish, no matter how hard it is. Standards.  They seem to be a thing of the past.  When you live too much in the gray, things become unclear, cloudy, and in many cases confusing.  It opens up society to accept things that were once thought to be against social norms.  They normalize behaviors that go against the very grain of our DNA.  In this Chronicles, Pedro outlines a few important themes and discusses standards we've set for ourselves around:  Our faith Physical well-being and health Friendships  Relationships with our spouses Our Children Future generations  This is a thought-provoking episode that asks the questions every person should be asking themselves in this big wide ocean of chaos and immorality.  Everything starts with standards.  Everything begins and ends with the foundation.  The main layer in that foundation is having standards.  Rules to live by.  Depending on the standards you set to determine the reality of the life you're living.  Are you living the best life you can be living?  Only you can answer that question.  By the end of this episode, you'll have some clarity on the standards you can set for yourself starting today.    Live Hard and Stay Hard    How To Get Involved: From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, left everything behind seeking answers to turning his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business. Adjusting your mindset is more than changing what you're doing, it is about looking into your vision and focusing on what you want to accomplish. There are three points that I keep my life revolving around and I am excited to talk about them in depth. Focus- Everyone knows what focus is, but what you're doing to implement it in your daily life and apply it to the goals you have set for yourself. Be intentional with who you are and look at the distractions in your life and how they affect you like Alcohol, Porn, and Gambling- Recognize if you have a problem. Discipline- Growing up disciplined might mean punishment.  As adults, it means the opportunity to become better. This is the driving force that we all carry but need to use more to achieve our goals. Stop telling yourself that it is ok to miss a step.  If you want it, you need to make it happen. Embrace the suck. Consistency- “Become a millionaire in 30 days” or the “get rich quick” schemes are not your way to success. Everyone who has experienced self-made wealth and hit their fitness goals stayed consistent. Look at your circle and see who is in it, Are they consistent? Are they good influences? Your life isn't built perfect in a few weeks because it takes years to form that consistency.     How To Get Involved: From rock bottom and $500 to his name, Pedro Meneses moved to the US, left everything behind seeking answers to turning his life around, becoming an entrepreneur, and thriving in business.
