Brian Chambers is an American art dealer and collector with a visionary approach and independent curatorial skills. His inspiration, rooted in the Psychedelic Art of the 1960s, led him to gather works by Alex Grey, Rick Griffin, and Salvador Dali, and rare pieces signed by Albert Hofmann, who discovered and synthesized LSD. Chambers actively commissioned works for his collection and others, amassing around 300 pieces over 15 years. His project began to take shape in 2009 when he initiated an experimental venture involving commissioning collaborative works from a handpicked group of artists, operating under the alias 'Furtherrr,' this collective ventured beyond conventional artistic institutions, including performances, public murals, and workshops across New York, California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Orleans. Brian tells us about the opening of the Brian Chambers Project Psychedelic Arts and Culture Gallery and much more.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Edge has many different stakeholders, applications, and needs, and this is especially true in distributed retail environments. This episode of Utilizing Edge features Simon Gamble of Mako Networks talking with Brian Chambers and Stephen Foskett about the complexities of technology at the retail edge. The key according to Gamble is segmentation of brands, franchisees, and technical applications. In some cases a single location might even include multiple separate companies or tenants under the same roof. Video, sensors, IoT, and location-based services are coming to retail locations as well, and some of these leverage outside service providers as well. Although sharing infrastructure is desirable, segmentation and security is key. Although the technology is roughly similar to datacenter or cloud, the unique challenges of edge computing require new approaches to storage, networking, orchestration, deployment, and more. We were kicking off a new season of Utilizing Tech focused on edge computing, featuring Alastair Cooke and Brian Chambers as co-hosts along with Stephen Foskett. One of the key differences for edge computing is the strictly constrained resources there as well as the massive scale. What we now call edge has existed for decades but the proprietary hardware previously used has been largely replaced by commodity and internet-connected systems that inherit technologies like virtualization, containerization, and hyperconvergence. Businesses and consumers expect more interactivity and capability in retail, restaurants, and hospitality environments, and the IoT revolution is strongly affecting manufacturing, military, and industrial settings. But what is the edge really, and how do we deliver services there? That's the question we hope to answer in this season of Utilizing Edge. Our goal here at the Bryant Chambers Movement is to always keep you focused on Advancing our Ability to Think Better!Keep In Touch - https://bryantchambers.comLearn - https://learn.bryantchambers.comAnd the heartfelt Welcome back to the movement Warrior. Thanks for tuning in this week. It's been a while since we've had the opportunity to share each other's presence. Thank you for being here now. It's also been a while since I've broadcasting to you all from nature. And I'm in this weird space where I'm trying to figure out my new process. So if you go back two years ago, when I first started this addition of my podcast, I've had actually had a couple of podcasts over the years. When I started finally started the Brian Chambers podcast A little over two years ago. Most of my recording was out here in places like this. Um, I didn't record much at home at all. In fact, a lot of the home studio that I had had prior to two years ago, uh, either sold or gave away toe other musician friends and whatnot, because at that time I had gotten out of completely where was getting out of completely the business of making content for social media and the Internet. I was gonna ride off into the sunset and walk away from it, but I had some things kind of call me back in. So most of my podcast in the beginning days were brought to you right from an iPhone, uh, similar to the one I'm holding, Certainly not his high quality, but very similar. Now you're also gonna notice some heavy breathing. Probably during this podcast. I'm out here on my workout trail, which also includes some pretty steep hills. So just be aware that be aware that I'm also out in some semblance of public, Even though I'm in a park so you may hear people, you may hear birds. You are inevitably going to hear a lawnmower before the end of this. It never fails. I have never come outside to shoot a podcast on any day on any time of the year like this is dead of winter. Someone will be mowing a lawn or wood chipping or something along those lines before this show is over. So just brace yourselves for it. I will do my best in the after editing to take those things out for you. So you don't have to listen to them as severely as I'll probably be listening to them. But I also hope that because the rhythm of this podcast has been over the last several months. Monday morning, six AM I'm right there with you in the trenches helping you push forward to take command of your life and make this world a little bit better of a place, right? So I am not? No, I'm not ignorant to the idea that many of you I'm your Monday morning start. Uh, you will never know how honored I am that those of you who have told me that you'll never understand how honored I am that I made it into that space in your life that I made it into anybody's life. Hell, that I convinced a woman to marry me 18 years ago. For God's sake, I am eternally grateful for anybody that gets anything good out of my existence on this planet. So let me say thank you. Also, let me do a quick side note here we are going to get into the main topic, which is going to be me basically dissecting breaking down, destroying and rebuilding this'd idea of motivation that I think Americans in the Western world specifically have gotten addicted to on. I want to stop that addiction today and start teaching people how to be properly motivated. Right? I am not a motivational speaker, despite the fact that people for tens of years have been trying to bid me Bill me is that I've been introduced to that. Hey, this is my friend Brian. He's a motivational speaker. I'll be like, No, I'm not e give to efs about your motivation. Support the show (https://patreon.com/bryantchambers)

Today let's discuss how to overcome fear, resistance, and failure as you follow your warrior's path and your artist's journey. Check out my Good Life Playbook Courselearn.bryantchambers.comShow Notes & Transcript Below:Then let's get back to the artist journey or what I call the Warriors path and let's specifically dive into the idea of resistance And let's talk about failure in the context of that resistance And what do you as the warrior as the artist do when those things inevitably come for you. So the inspiration came from a conversation I was having with Lisa on one of my YouTube streams And if you're not already subscribed to me on YouTube I can't recommend that enough because out of all of the places where I produce content that believe it or not is where I spend the most time And so during my leisure time I will often just say Hey let me do a live stream while I have a little bit of downtime here and talk to the people We play video games we hang out we chat we tell inappropriate jokes But at the end of the day We have really great conversations and Lisa proposed to me She's been getting after it pretty heavily on her warriors path or her artist journey if you prefer And if you didn't already hear the podcast I did on Stephen Press Fields the artist journey definitely give that a listen You don't necessarily need to listen to them in order Like if you didn't already Here it You don't need to stop this talk and go back to listen to that one I just highly encourage you to go back and listen to that one at some point because a lot of what we're going to discuss here will be amplified by having that background information But everything I'm going to say here is not does not require that you've heard or even read the book that I was discussing But I can't recommend enough that you start reading all of Stephen Press Fields books I think I've read five of his God knows how many books he's read I probably won't read his fiction books just because I struggled to read fiction but I recommend the five books I've read which are uh the turning pro The War of art do the work the artist journey and the warrior ethos on I'll get through his other books at another time But anyway today's podcast is dedicated to a conversation Lisa and I were having during a YouTube stream about the podcast referencing the artist journey and what it means to be on an artist journey What it means to answer the call of your muse and to go after the things that you secretly dream about and desperately want to accomplish Now when you make up your mind that you're gonna become the warrior that you're gonna become the artist that you're going to turn pro as Stephen Press Field talks about in his book Turning Pro you also have to get ready for what's in book number two The War of Art It's a little thing called Resistance you know we call it the Devil We call it demons We call it the system We call it the man but it's actually a natural force that exists uh in the universe that I think often manifests in those both animate and inanimate situations Right Resistance is coming for you Struggle is coming for you There is no highly successful person that's supremely happy with their success and Brian Chambers movement Those things are not separable I am not in the business of helping people develop success and make themselves miserable in the process Right I want you to be successful and happy at the same time because I I've had ah lot of success in my life And I'll tell you in some of the places where I've had great success where some of the most unhappy places in my life period and what I don't want for you is to have that similar experience I want the successes that you have to be things that you're ultimately happy about...Support the show (https://patreon.com/bryantchambers)

2019 Dec Let there be (Head Candi NYD 2020 Vision Party) house!   Wishing everyone a good year in 2020. I know I really need it!   Second part of House is a Journey & HeadCandi NYD party. The Dance Session   For clubbers and dancers alike, New Year’s Day Party, overlooking the Pacific Ocean   Starts with a 2019 remix of Madison Avenue dance classic “Don’t Call Me Baby”. Gives away the fact that this is not a challenging set. Meant to make you feel happy and dance.   Included a four-way Monster Mash, which I am not unhappy about.   The pre-millennials will recognize the HedKandi homage. When CDs were still a thing and labels could make money, compilations such as the HK ones were a must and introduce a whole generation to house in all its forms and iterations. We paid for them, discovered tunes and artists curated by the music directors of the labels.   A very different landscape to the A.I. spotified generated playlists which due to the algorithm merely selects a very narrow sample what you are "supposed" to like.   The “Let there be House” series is my attempt to resurrect the genre with current tunes. There will be about 9 to 10 episodes in the “Let there be House” series, hopefully each with its unique flavour. No particular order but for the fact that we will go up tempo throughout the uploads.   Ninth episode runs from 125 bpm to 130 bpm. Not challenging but for one ghetto house track, which is fun and short.   Playlist:     2019 Don’t Call Me Baby (Mousse T vs Super Disco Club Remix). Madison Avenue, Mousse T. 2019 Funky Like That (Random Soul Vocal Mix). Dave Mayer & DJ Roland Clark 2005 Strings of Life (Martijn Ten Velden Mark Knight Toolroom Mix). 9th of November 1983. Bayan Lepas International Airport, Penang, MalaysiaThere was the usual bustle of activity inside and outside the airport, with a seemingly innumerable fleet of taxis dropping people off and picking up fares. The relentless cluster of passengers travelling to and from domestic and international flights flooded the airport lounges and check-in counters.Amongst all of the airport activity, two young Australian men aged in their mid-20's alighted from one of the many taxis and entered the airport. One man was carrying a maroon suitcase; he was named Kevin Barlow, and his acquaintance was Brian Chambers.Barlow approached the check in desk, as Chambers paid the taxi fare, passed through the luggage scanning area, and joined him there. Barlow was sweating and shaking profusely, which drew unwanted attention to him and Chambers. As a consequence, the two were detained and searched by local authorities, where they discovered the maroon suitcase contained 141.9g of pure heroin. How did these two men end up in this dire situation, almost 5000km from their homes in Perth, Australia? Especially with Malaysia's new highly advertised harsh drug laws at the time, which promised death for the crime they were committing...Join Shaun and Chloe as they discuss the case of Kevin Barlow and Brian Chambers.Support the show on Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/truebluecrimeWebsite - www.truebluecrimepodcast.com - includes our merch storeFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/380493356066315/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/truebluecrime/Email - truebluecrime@gmail.comThis episode was produced by True Blue Media using the open source materials referenced below. Hi all, Some of you may know I've relocated from Sunny Scotland to a rather damp Sydney, Australia. While trying to get to grips with this new city and the Aussie rate of pace (pretty chilled) I've found this old nugget of a mix I recorded back in 2005. It was a promotional mix I would give away on CD at gigs in Edinburgh (the old way of sharing music and promotion. It's all much easier now with file sharing, podcasts, facebook and what have you. Some big tunes for me back then are included in the mix. Recloose joining kiwi's Fat Freddy's Drop frontman Joe Dukie on “Dust”, the amazing boogie-anthem-although-it-was-a-b-side “Burning Up” by Imagination, the extraordinary “Flookin” by Solid Groove was not out my record box for years and not forgetting the rap classic “Me, Myself and I”. I hope you enjoy the sounds... Akabu feat.
