Save for a couple of half chances City didn't really function as an attacking force against the meanest defence in the country. Max O'Leary was victim of a Twinesque style free kick which proved the difference between the two sides over the 90 minutes but despite the Clarets intricate and pacy passing there was nothing more than routine saves for him to do. OK, Burnley were guilty of squandering some guilt edged chances but at just 0-1 down City were always in it. What would fan reaction be if Yu's snap shot in time added on gone in and gave City a point on a day when apart from Boro all the other results went City's way.Dickie was immense at the back but Twine, Mehmeti & Armstrong had games they would rather forget and Knight didn't seem to have his usual zip in front of watching Everton manager David Moyes. Our fate in terms of play off participation will more than likely be known by 10.00 PM on Tuesday April 8th - by then we'll have played Watford & WBA at home with 4 points the minimum requirement. Join Jack Reeve and Mark Langdon as they return for the latest episode of Bets Club, giving you the best bets and predictions for this week's Premier League fixtures and more. The Premier League is here in full swing and the team kick off by previewing the big match, West Ham v Arsenal. Can Arsenal build on a great win over Liverpool to fend off Man City's resurgence? Mark then gives his best bets in all of this weekend's Premier League fixtures, including Liverpool hosting Burnely. Dan Childs returns with his best bets in the EFL, giving us lots of analysis on this week's team in focus, Swindon. Follow Mark as he takes a look at the best multiple offers this gameweek too, as the team create a bet builder, a treble and give their other best bets.
Saturday delivered a classic Tottenham Hotspur collapse in the early match, followed by an uninspiring Manchester United win. Arsenal took care of Burnely and somehow Everton picked up more points. Mo Salah scored his 200th EPL goal in a 3-0, and Brighton continued their fall back to Earth. Manchester City and Chelsea gave us the match of the season in a 4-4 thriller that was somehow stained by yet another questionable VAR decision.

Submit your predictions for the 23/24 season. We'll keep submissions open until 24hrs after the transfer window closes in England. https://g80vrcczhax.typeform.com/to/LoFd39yd The second match week of Premier League football is upon us and it promises to be quite the weekend. Assuming the EPL and PGMOL have cleared up their processes and we don't see a second week in a row of apologies to clubs for errors, the line up of matches this weekend is top tier. Multiple London Derbies take place throughout the weekend, but the top billing will the the afternoon games on Saturday. A double header of sorts, featuring some of the heaviest hitters in the division. Spurs welcome Manchester United to North London while Manchester City will see upstart Newcastle come to the Etihad. The somewhat humorous story from this weekend is that Luton Town's Kenilworth Road stadium is not yet up to standard for a Premier League matchday, so their game against Burnely is postponed. It was another frustrating afternoon for Hornets' fans at Vicarage Road, as an improved second half display wasn't enough to force a win against Blackburn. Mike, Jon and Jas gathered after the game to discuss a fixture that saw the long awaited return of Tom Cleverley, Ken Sema and Imaran Louza, with all of the returnees getting the FTRE treatment, along with the rest of the misfiring squad. There is also a look ahead to Burnely, as well as a look back to a previous classic encounter with the the Clarets. Plus a rewind interview from 2011 when the boys talked to then Assistant Manager Sean Dyche and goalkeeper coach Alec Chamberlain. It's another draw. It's another From the Rookery End podcast. A unique kick off time but an all too familiar tale for the Hornets, leaving Mike, Jon and Jas to sift through the wreckage of a dispiriting defeat away at Burnely. A predictably unhappy Mike is balanced out by a pragmatic Jason, but there is no denying the sombre tone in this one! There is no time to sulk or mope however, so the chaps are joined by Carl Anka, The Athletic’s Southampton correspondent, as they look forward to what is now a must win game against the Saints.Did any of us think this was going to be easy? Of course we didn’t! This is Watford, and this is From the Rookery End.

There’s also a welcome return for Arlo in our “Michael Parkin’s son” feature. With the games coming thick and fast, we also look ahead to the Hornet’s next fixture and ponder whether Pearson’s men will be able to do it on a pleasant Thursday early evening in Burnely. Jose Mourinho sure knows how to shape the agenda. Nobody is talking about Manchester United's poor Boxing Day draw at home to Burnely. Instead, the headlines have been dominated by his comments over spending. But is he right? Do Man Utd need to spend more if they are to stand any chance of catching Manchester City in seasons to come? If they do need to spend, where should they spend? Are we seeing Mourinho's decline as a world class manager before our very eyes? What happened to the 'Mourinho glaze'? Niall Murray was joined by Stefan Bienkowski and Graham Ruthven to talk it all over and ask - does Pep v Jose end with the loser taking the PSG job?
BURNELY 1-0 WATFORD We've lost at Turf Moor before, and they have been far more humiliating. BBC Good Food Show Summer / BBC Gardeners’ World Live - Birmingham NEC 13 - 16 June 2019
David White, from Burnely, Lancs has brought apple cider made in India to the UK market and, increasingly, some of the 9,000 indian restaurants int he UK. A young, growing business that is supporting cider makers in India.
Robbie Earle & Robbie Mustoe on Tottenham's impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester City, Man United's draw with Stoke and Arsenal's controversial late win at Burnely. Plus, a mid-season report card for the title contenders and a look at the English national team's future.
This weeks episode of the #LOVpod, even for our own mid-to-high standards, is quite a brilliant one, with passion and laughter at Bolton Wanderers ever worsening predicament in abundance. Chris was joined by the returning Dan and Liam, this week. First up was a discussion about actual football, as Wanderers let a priceless 1-0 victor over Queens Park Rangers slip in the dying moments as a monumental cock up from Ben Amos allowed Matt Phillips to equalise. This after a resolute and combative performance from the likes of Rob Holding, Jay Spearing and Darren Pratley, not to mention a wonder goal from Zach Clough. The heartbreaking result leaves us still at the foot of the table, with relation becoming more and more like a certainty. Afterwards the lads tried to tackle the concept of the Whites going out of business as the club are in court later today, and how Wanderers fans have been massively let down by those running the club - especially Eddie Davies. Passionate, tear jerking speeches were aplenty. Then Arsenal's Jack Wilshere was discussed after his recent comments about his loan spell at the Reebok Stadium. Finally, the upcoming fixtures against Birmingham City and Burnely were both previewed, with the feelings being unanimously negative, and then things were brought to a close with possibly the best fan question ever to be on the show: if you were Eddie Davies, what would you demand from the club? Some very funny and slightly deranged answers were given, so don't miss it! Listen on iTunes or BlogTalkRadio. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
