They discuss the standout second-half performance, Vítor Pereira's tactical tweaks, and the impact of Munetsi and Bellegarde. The debate rages on about whether Wolves should have taken all three points and whether Agbadou's injury exposes squad depth issues—was leaving Craig Dawson out of the squad a mistake? The link is in the podcast episode description bo#An## Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Richard Cracknell, Russ Williams and Marcus Buckland as Spurs ended a five-game winning run at home in the league with a 2-1 defeat to Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The visitors went ahead just before half-time when Gomes was left unmarked eight yards out and rose well to powerfully head home Pablo Sarabia's right-wing corner. But Tottenham made it 1-1 after only 34 seconds of the second half. Wolves failed to clear a Spurs throw-in and Dejan Kulusevski ran past Craig Dawson and prodded the ball through Jose Sa's legs. Tottenham had fought back after conceding the first goal to beat Brentford and Brighton in their past two home games and Kulusevski had two chances to put the hosts in front this time. However, Sa made an excellent save low down to his left and Nelson Semedo blocked a goalbound effort to keep it level. Those squandered chances proved significant as Wolves sprang a quick counter-attack with Pedro Neto pulling the ball back for Gomes to side-foot home what proved to be the winning goal. The hosts pushed for a late leveller, but Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies missed chances late on as the visitors held on for the victory. West Ham won a Premier League football match, but all is not what it seems. While the three points were desperately needed, it doesn't change much where David Moyes' future is concerned. A run of fixtures that include Newcastle, Chelsea and Tottenham in February means we're not entirely out of the woods just yet and it's likely we'll be back in the thick of before too long. Meanwhile, Craig Dawson - the wonderful, beautiful, amazing Craig Dawson - has left the club and everyone's really upset about it. What he gave us during his spell since arriving on loan from Watford will be fondly remembered by Hammers fans for a lifetime, not least his role in our epic journey to the Europa League semi-finals last term. So Ballon D'Awson has left for Wolves, but he'll forever be in our hearts. This week, Will and James discuss all of the above before previewing our FA Cup 4th Round clash with Derby County at Pride Park. Also dropping in is Corey Hancock from the Rams Review Podcast, who sent us his thoughts ahead of the game. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and make sure you subscribe!

Well... that was a frustrating afternoon. The sun was shining as The Whites marched on to East London, hoping to put the Newcastle loss behind us. After a superb opening spell Fulham, who were without Mitrovic, found themselves ahead after Andreas Pereira slammed home from the tightest of angles to open his Fulham account. But our hero quickly turned villain as the Brazilian was alleged to have fouled Craig Dawson from a corner, with Jarrod Bowen converting from the spot to equalise. West Ham then took the lead as Scamacca controlled a tidy through ball with his hand before lobbing Bernd Leno. To add insult to injury, in the dying embers, a defensive mix-up presented Michail Antonio (who also controlled the ball with his hand) with a third. Coops, Drew and Dom discuss an afternoon ruined by bad officiating and incorrect VAR decisions. We hope to put it behind us as we look ahead to an important home fixture against Bournemouth this weekend. In the second half of the pod Coops, Drew and Dom answer your listener questions. Hope you enjoy! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
The lads return this week to look back at the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening weekend of the 22/23 Premier League season, after Erling Halland made very easy work of our makeshift defence. We appear to have gone from being a club with a striker curse to one with a defender curse as David Moyes was forced to pair Ben Johnson with Kurt Zouma at the back after Craig Dawson was ruled out with a thigh strain and Issa Diop supposedly refused to play ahead of his reported move to Fulham. Still, a 2-0 scoreline is a respectable one when you consider the circumstances and the huge gap in class between ourselves and Pep Guardiola's squad of superstars. Also this week, the lads are joined by Graeme Bryce, Midlands Football Correspondent at The Sun, to get the lowdown on Nottingham Forest ahead of next weekend, while the lads also ponder what Moyes might decide to do in the final weeks of the transfer window, especially given the continued lack of depth in some key areas of the squad. West Ham lost 1-0 at Chelsea on Sunday in oh so frustrating fashion. Craig Dawson was sent off as he gave away a late penalty which Jorginho missed before Christian Pulisic bagged the winner at Stamford Bridge. But do Hammers fans really care with a Europa League semi-final first-leg against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night? Will Pugh certainly doesn't on this week's pod but James Jones is far more conservative. Bastian Roth from the Eintracht podcast dials in to give an opposition view ahead of the mammoth clash. The lads make their Betway charity bet selections ahead of Sunday's home Premier League game against Arsenal. Before Dan Cutts, SunSport editor and huge Gooner, joins to give another lowdown from the opposition camp. Will and James wrap up by congratulating West Ham's Women on a great WSL win at Reading before they say goodbye at the beginning of another enthralling week for West Ham United. West Ham United could only draw 1-1 with Newcastle on Saturday as the wheels continue to fall off after a promising start to the season. Craig Dawson continued to be the Hammers' biggest goal threat but Joe ‘loves a goal against West Ham' Willock levelled for the struggling visitors. Will Pugh is joined by James Jones to look back at another disappointing home performance as West Ham's top-four hopes were all but distinguished. However, it's not all doom and gloom as the lads pulled in ANOTHER Betway charity bet winner! Dan Baylis from the Wolves 77 club podcast dials in to look ahead to Bruno Lage's side visit to London Stadium on Sunday. Liverpool survided a scare from Norwich and ended up 3-1 winners, with Luis Diaz getting his first goal for the club. But how does one pronounce his name? Plus, Aakarsh gives us a great insight into what Craig Dawson's complaints to the referee about Chris Wood were all about! This week saw West Ham finally started to escape from the shadow of the Kurt Zouma cat-kicking shame. No thanks to Will Pugh and James Jones of course who spent much of the previous week on national TV and radio stations discussing the topic. And on the pitch it didn't get much better, in fact it got worse. Another sloppy performance at Leicester saw the Hammers needing a late Craig Dawson elbowed equaliser to rescue a point. The boys react to the game but Will in particular remained in a good mood after he WON A BETWAY CHARITY BET to pull in a HUGE sum for the Bobby Moore Fund! The lads also make their next selections. Newcastle United editor from the Newcastle Chronicle Aaron Stokes dials in to look ahead to Saturday's match against the Magpies at the London Stadium. Will tackles the West Ham Women's surprising defeat at Leicester City on his own. And then the lads say goodbye for another week with some final thoughts. Dave Jones hosts Super Sunday and is joined by Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and Graeme Souness as they dissect the talking points from Leicester against West Ham which ended in a 2-2 draw. Souness said that the result was a fair outcome but couldn't understand why Craig Dawson's late equaliser was not ruled out whilst Richards felt it was not a clear and obvious error and therefore the correct decision was to award the goal. There is also reaction from Craig Dawson, Declan Rice as well as both Brendan Rodgers and David Moyes.

West Ham United play their first ever Europa League group stage game away at Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday. And the Hammers cap off a historic week by welcoming a Cristiano Ronaldo led Manchester United to the London Stadium on Sunday. It all comes after a dull 0-0 draw at Southampton in the Premier League where Michail Antonio's stupid sending off means he will miss the Red Devils' visit. But the point means David Moyes' men are unbeaten in their first four Premier League games and are sitting reasonably pretty in seventh. Will Pugh is back from Portugal and is joined by Reece Bayliss for this week's show with James Jones taking a holiday of his own. The lads react to the Saints draw and ask if Craig Dawson's time is up with Kurt Zouma surprisingly left on the bench. There are TWO opposition views as Lovre Nikolac from the Croatian Football Podcast dials in from Dalmatia to let West Ham fans know what to expect from Zagreb. And sports journalist Matt Beadle gives the Man Utd perspective with the Reds looking strong domestically after Ronaldo's arrival. The boys of course make their Betway charity bet selections. And discuss West Ham Women who've had a disappointing start to the season – losing 2-0 at Brighton on the opening day before late heartbreak in week two saw Aston Villa equalise at the death in a 1-1 draw. All in all, it's a fantastic show at the start of a historic week for the Hammers. Hello to all our new listeners, we've had a couple of record breaking weeks on the listener front so welcome. Episode 78 - After a high profile and drama filled North London Derby, Tanya's disappointed with Spurs' negativity after the Gunners take the points. We discuss the big decisions and Abdi and Junior are buzzing with the win over their hated rivals. We argue the merits of Tuchel's Chelsea approach and speculate about Chelsea's transfer strategy in the summer, what does the future hold for Timo Werner?. After his screamer in Burnley's win over Everton, the team talk about what could be next for Dwight Mcneil and how far he could go. Despite their defeat at the hands of the league leaders, the team are optimistic about Fulham's chances of survival. Brighton finally win, Leicester thump managerless Sheffield Utd and Man Utd sneak past West Ham before Mark discusses Liverpool's narrow win over Wolves, with a strong defensive performance. We also have Man of the Week, a new segment called "Should He Go? Or No?" regarding Euro 2020 selections and we answer some listeners questions! The FC crew discuss Arsenal's comprehensive North London Derby victory over Tottenham as Jose Mourinho's side fails to make up ground in the top-4 race. Manchester United continue to find ways to win after a Craig Dawson own goal against West Ham. In Italy, AC Milan hit another stumbling block while Inter Milan and Juventus take care of business -- but is Cristiano Ronaldo's time in Italy coming to an end? Plus, how much should RB Leipzig and PSG worry after dropping points in their respective title races.
The fearsome threesome reunite this week just in time to pummel Gareth’s Spurs for a typically timid display in the North London Derby and ask the big questions such as ‘will Mourinho ever learn?’. Grits spills the beans on what sort of managerial disciplinary approach worked during his playing days and then the pod crew lament the absence of Pablo Fornals in the big Man Utd v West Ham clash. Mark Smith suggests that United need an entire new spine to their team while Gritts performs a soliloquy in honour of man mountain defender Craig Dawson. Less time is spent lamenting Sheffield United’s shortcomings following their giving the short shrift to Chris Wilder, while we ask if Leicester’s Vardy replacement is already in-house in the form of Ihenanacho. West Ham crashed out of this year's FA Cup in frustrating fashion with a 1-0 extra-time defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford. The lack of strikers and the club's dereliction of duty by failing to sign one in January came back to bite the Hammers almost straight away as Andriy Yarmolenko failed to cut it in Michail Antonio's absence and youngster Ademipo Odubeko was given a chance off the bench only to be hooked again soon after. An irate Will Pugh is joined by James Jones and Tom Edwards straight after the final whistle to wallow in each other's misery and rue the club's lack of ambition in the transfer market. Said Benrahma gets a hammering while the boys take time to praise the positive performances by Fabianski, Craig Dawson and Ben Johnson. The lads also look back to the Mike Dean/ Tomas Soucek farcical situation at the end of the dross 0-0 draw at Fulham. The remarkable win at Aston Villa also comes up as there were three games between podcasts over the last week before focus switches to next Monday's Carlos Tevez derby showdown with Sheffield United at London Stadium. James brings a blast from the past to the table for Name That Game. And he also had a winning Betway (https://twitter.com/betway) charity bet for the Villa game. The lads make their selections for the Blades' visit before the Travelling Blade dials in for the opposition view. The Sun's Sandra Brobbey joins to dissect a grim week for West Ham Women after their thrashing at Chelsea in the League Cup and the underwhelming 1-1 draw at Matt Beard's Bristol City in the WSL. West Ham are FOURTH in the Premier League. That’s right, if the season finished now, David Moyes’ men would qualify for the Champions League. After going down to Wilfried Zaha’s early goal at Crystal Palace, the Hammers bounced back in emphatic fashion thanks to a brace from Tomas Soucek and a powerful header from Craig Dawson. Michy Batshuayi got a late consolation but the ref blew the whistle to send the boys back to East London with a 3-2 win. Will Pugh is joined by James Jones and Tom Edwards to revel in the Hammers’ fifth win on the bounce including Saturday’s 4-0 FA Cup thrashing of Doncaster. A trip to Old Trafford to face Man Utd in the fifth round awaits as the boys muse over the club’s chances of success this season. Football journalist Mark Flanagan joins the lads to look ahead to Liverpool’s visit to London Stadium on Sunday. The boys make their weekly Betway (https://twitter.com/betway) charity bet selections for the Reds game and update listeners on Isla Caton’s progress who started a round of chemotherapy this week. Will chatted to Nikki and Isla on Monday as the brave six-year-old started her latest round of chemotherapy and that interview can be heard at the end of the podcast. Tom is quizmaster for Name That Game. And the guys wrap up the show with a West Ham Women update after the girls reached the Conti Cup semi-final with a 3-0 win over Durham. West Ham battled through to the FA Cup fourth round by beating Stockport County 1-0 on a boggy Edgeley Park pitch that would have made some Sunday league teams turn their noses up. Craig Dawson leaped like a salmon to nod home the 83rd minute winner after David Moyes’ men had huffed and puffed all night against the deep and well organised National League side. Hammers fans finally said Au Revoir to Sebastien Haller who left for Ajax in a £20-25million deal. There were very few people sad to see the disappointing Frenchman leave but there was barely a dry eye among West Ham fans when the club announced Robert Snodgrass had left for West Brom. Will Pugh (https://twitter.com/WilliamPugh_) is joined by James Jones and Tom Edwards to discuss all of that and more as the Irons approach the midway point of what is undoubtedly a make or break month. The boys are also joined by Mark Gevaux – more commonly known as the Ribman – who pulls no punches as he gives his unfiltered views on the club’s board and their transfer activity. David Sullivan and David Gold appointed new directors at West Ham this week – Sullivan’s son Jack and current partner were two of them. Tom gives the run down on the long list of strikers the Hammers are being linked with and the lads have a general chat about West Ham transfer news. Name That Game is back in dramatic fashion with one of the guys having an absolute mare. West Ham’s women had ANOTHER game postponed because of Covid-19 as their trip to Man City was axed. But the lads discuss other comings and goings before giving details on the New Year shirt giveaway. James reads out some outstanding reviews including a list of belting comparisons between the lads and some current players. Please SUBSCRIBE to the pod and like, rate and share our stuff. With the international break behind us, the lads turn their attention this week to arguably our biggest game of the season - Spurs away! But that's not before James Jones (https://twitter.com/ByJamesJones) , Will Pugh (https://twitter.com/WilliamPugh_) and Tom Edwards (https://twitter.com/T0m_Edwards) address all the big talking points of the last seven days, of which there have been many. Firstly, and most importantly, James addresses a rather hilariously harsh review from one of our dear listeners, which has given him the inspiration to take the government's recent advice and retrain for a completely different career altogether. And then the lads discuss the recent arrival of defensive powerhouse Craig Dawson, the confusing pursuit of Brentford's Said Benrahma, Declan Rice's impressive performance for England V. Belgium and, of course, look ahead to this weekend's big London derby. Plus lots, lots more! Also this week... - Chad from Betway joins the team to talk through the week's Betway Charity Bet Selections, while also making a very kind gesture following James and Tom's Leicester heartbreak. - The Athletic's Tottenham Correspondent, Charlie Eccleshare, discusses the chances of Gareth Bale making his second Spurs debut this weekend (and obligatory goal, no doubt). - The Sun's football reporter and WSL expert, Isabelle Barker, reviews the Hammers' recent defeat to Everton, Matt Beard's future as West Ham Women's boss and looks ahead to the big clash with Man United this Sunday.
