Matt Jones and Drew Franklin add Drew to the list of NFL injuries from this week. What is the future of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs? Matt is now a believer in Bo Nix as a top QB that's capable of winning of Super Bowl. The Steelers top the Dolphins, but the real story is Tua's future in Miami. Joe Burrow will start the remaining 3 games despite the Bengals being eliminated from the playoffs. Saturday NFL games begin this week with Eagles/Commanders and Packers/Bears. Matt explains what this game means for Chicago. The Broncos are on the verge of clinching their division and possibly the AFC, we review the scenarios. Which team is most likely to get the top pick in the NFL Draft? Matt wonders which team having a bad season will have a big upset late in the season. Philip Rivers gets another start as the Colts host the 49ers. The Rams visit the Seahawks on Thursday. Matt picks his three best games in NFL Week 16 and we make Survivor and TD Parlay picks!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

00:13 ā Intro & State of the NFL Chris and Mario open with frustration about the season's chaos. They note how late it is to have so few teams clinched, surprise playoff qualifiers, and how wide-open divisions and draft positioning still are. 03:16 ā Betting Philosophy & Live-Line Inefficiencies Chris explains why early blowouts often create value later in games, focusing on first-quarter score swings and market overreactions. 04:16 ā Raiders Coaching Odds & Tom Brady Talk They react to oddsmakers' Raiders coaching props, uninspiring candidate lists, and the absurdity of Tom Brady hype as owner, announcer, and hypothetical coach. 07:44 ā Chiefs Futures: Reid, Kelce & QB Recklessness Discussion of Andy Reid retirement speculation, Travis Kelce's timeline, Mahomes' injury management, and why rushing back stars rarely makes sense. 09:58 ā Absurd QB Comeback Odds They laugh through oddsmakers' retired-QB list (Cam Newton, Foles, Kaepernick, Ryan, Fitzpatrick, Luck), debating realism vs. novelty. 15:43 ā Draft Order Chaos & QB Development Deep dive into tank races, trading down from No. 1, Giants' options, concussion concerns for young QBs, and why experience matters more than hype. NFL Week 16 Games 17:13 ā Rams at Seahawks (TNF) NFC West positioning and motivation despite clinches. 19:15 ā Eagles at Commanders (Saturday) Division matchup with playoff and draft implications. 23:45 ā Packers at Bears (Saturday) NFC North tiebreakers and late-season momentum. 26:41 ā Bills at Browns Buffalo urgency vs. Cleveland's defensive impact. 28:20 ā Chiefs at Titans Strange line for a lopsided matchup and motivation questions. 29:02 ā Chargers at Cowboys Two inconsistent teams with volatile outcomes. 30:18 ā Vikings at Giants Young QB development vs. organizational dysfunction. 31:49 ā Jets at Saints New Orleans' unexpected surge against a lost Jets team. 33:19 ā Buccaneers at Panthers Two teams trying to define what they actually are. 38:46 ā Falcons at Cardinals Low-confidence teams searching for footing. 39:52 ā Jaguars at Broncos Denver's playoff security tested by a dangerous opponent. 40:40 ā Raiders at Texans Houston's chance to capitalize against league chaos. 47:16 ā Steelers at Lions Detroit's push to stabilize vs. Pittsburgh's ceiling. 47:56 ā Patriots at Ravens Baltimore urgency against a disciplined opponent. 49:48 ā 49ers at Colts (MNF) Veteran QB storyline and contrasting team directions.
Ā Ā President Trump addressed the nation Wednesday night, somehow hoodwinking all the networks to air something that was nothing more than a political speech filled with stuff we already knew.Ā He seemed nervous, grumpy and the teleprompter threw him off several times.Ā It was not his best night and Americans, one week from Christmas, don't want to be told that money isn't tight.Ā I don't understand this one. Ā Ā Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe's plan to eliminate state income tax in Missouri gets a boost from members of a key GOP committee.Ā Let's go! Ā Ā Dan Bongino's future is behind a microphone and not with the FBI.Ā We knew from the start this was a bad idea and it could be a sign Missouri's former Attorney General is the next Director of the FBI. Ā Ā We've known a new Steven Spielberg movie is set in KC for quite some time as photos of on locations scenes filmed on the east coast have been around for months.Ā Now we have the official trailer for "Disclosure Day" which hits theaters June 12.Ā I have details of what it looks like and what it's about. Ā Ā The Chiefs give generic information about Patrick Mahomes return to the field next year, the Royals release a statement about a new ballpark, the Chicago Bears threaten a move to Indiana and the College Football Playoff starts Friday Ā Ā Our Final Final is a sticky pair of kicks from the breakfast joint Dennys.
Bill and ESPN's Nate Taylor take a look under the hood and try to figure out what went wrong for the Chiefs this season. They discuss how the Mahomes ACL injury will affect them going forward, what lessons there are to be learned, where they need to invest going forward, and whether or not they need to add a new voice. 0:00 Welcome 5:21 Mahomes' ACL injury and recovery 10:58 How will Chiefs look different when Mahomes is back? 15:41 How do the Chiefs assess the 2025 season internally? 32:11 Do the Chiefs need to add a new voice? Jeremiyah Love.. Chiefs to DRAFT Rookie RB?
Mike's out, so naturally Mookie immediately starts messing with the background, and somehow that becomes a recurring issue all night. We kick things off with beer intros before diving headfirst into the Joe Burrow discourse. Is he hinting at retirement, or is he just completely done with Cincinnati? Fans don't seem especially sympathetic, especially when the Bengals once again look like one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the league, capped off by violating NFL policy and forcing fans to shovel snow out of their own seats before getting shut out by Baltimore. Things spiral from there. Patrick Mahomes blows out his knee, the Tom Brady comparisons come fast, and we try to figure out where the Chiefs go from here, including which NFC team Mahomes might randomly win a Super Bowl with a decade from now. With Mahomes, Burrow, and likely Lamar Jackson out of the picture, we ask the uncomfortable question: is this finally Josh Allen's year? Somewhere in the middle of all that, Phillip Rivers comes out of retirement, looks terrible throwing the football, still scores a touchdown, and somehow drags us into a full Hall of Fame debate, complete with conspiracy theories, Colin Kaepernick questions, and a Sip/Chug/Drainpour breakdown of why Rivers actually came back (insurance money, resume padding, or escaping his kids). We also get into the Bills releasing Blizzard Brew, a beer literally made from snow at Highmark Stadium, LaKeith Stanfield being cast as Dennis Rodman in a Vegas disappearance movie, and a minor league hockey team fully committing to chaos with a āBirds Aren't Realā rebrand. There areā¦a lot of CFB26 clips. Too many, honestly. Chapters: 00:00:00 Introduction | Mookie messes with background since Mike's out 00:04:05 Beer Intros 00:10:01 Is Joe Burrow going to retire? Or does he just want out of Cincinnati? 00:17:48 Phillip Rivers starts for the Colts and, despite looking horrible throwing the ball, still had a tuddy and a chance to win 00:18:57 Nobody really feels bad for Burrow, so his complaints aren't getting him anywhere with fans 00:22:09 Mike gets angry at the background 00:24:11 The Bengals are looking at a fine for not clearing snow off the seats prior to playing Baltimore 00:31:05 The Brown family is never selling the Bengals 00:37:16 Patrick Mahomes blows out his knee and everyone is making the Tom Brady comparisons 00:41:20 Where do the Chiefs go from here? 00:44:37 If Patrick Mahomes is truly following the Tom Brady path, which NFC team does he end winning a Super Bowl with in a decade? 00:49:10 Mookie drops a CFB26 clip 00:49:36 With Mahomes and Burrow (and likely Lamar) eliminated, is it Josh Allen's year? 00:52:19 Current Super Bowl odds 00:56:10 Does Phillip Rivers deserve HOF consideration after coming back to the Colts? 00:59:28 Mookie drops another CFB26 clip 01:00:47 The Bills and Bud Light partner for Blizzard Brew, a beer made with the snow that fell at Highmark Stadium 01:06:53 Another Mookie CFB26 clip 01:08:09 Conspiracy theories about WHY Phillip Rivers came out of retirement to play for the Colts 01:12:32 Did anyone even check with Colin Kaepernick before calling Rivers? 01:13:40 Sip, Chug, Drainpour - Phillip Rivers Motivation For Coming Back: needs the insurance, pad his HOF resume, just wants to get away from his kids 01:16:20 Seriously, Mookie. Enough with the CFB26 clilps 01:17:26 How does Phillip Rivers even relate to his current teammates? 01:21:30 Why are there more CFB26 clips, Mookie?! 01:22:41 LaKeith Stanfield is set to play Dennis Rodman in a movie about Rodman's disappearance mid-season to Vegas 01:29:33 Minor League hockey team hosts a "Birds Aren't Real" night and rebrands as the Surveillance Swans for the night 01:30:49 Should a minor league hockey team do a magic night to bring in more black fans? 01:35:26 Beer recaps 01:37:20 This was a show 01:37:30 Outro #NFL #JoeBurrow #PatrickMahomes #JoshAllen #Bengals #Chiefs #Bills #SportsPodcast #CraftBrewedSports

Mike Vrabel has been saying its better to learn in wins versus losses, but the lessons about the second half and red zone offense seemed to have been missed. What other lessons are there the Patriots need to learn before the playoffs begin? Then, the fear of the Pats is to become last year's Vikings or other teams that dominated the regular season but had an early playoff exit. And, a look arounds the rest of the NFL from the elimination of the Chiefs to the now AFC runaway Broncos.
