We are now in part III of our four-part series on "Was Jesus in the Grave for Three Days?" In episode 143 of Tales of Glory, we examine the scriptural evidence of what Jesus did while He was down in the underworld for three days. We also closely examine Sheol/Hades, the underworld realm, and how it was perceived by Second Temple Hebrews from Old Testament and New Testament scripture. Three Nights with Jack White: From St. Louis to Omaha and Everything in Between, interview with artist Pat Hamou

Send us a textWhat does it mean to witness true musical spontaneity in an era when most concerts feel meticulously scripted? After following Jack White's No-Name Tour through three Midwest cities in a single week, I discovered the answer—and it forever changed how I view live music.Standing at the rail for consecutive nights in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Omaha, I watched as White and his band delivered three completely different performances without using setlists. The musical telepathy required is astounding—his drummer never taking his eyes off Jack, waiting for subtle cues that indicate which song comes next. His guitar tech orchestrates a complex dance of instruments, untangling cords and facilitating seamless transitions between songs that weren't planned moments before.Kansas City delivered the most electric night, with White feeding visibly off an enthusiastic crowd, even performing without his guitar for the first time in my fifteen shows of seeing him. Then came Omaha—a businesslike performance without audience acknowledgment, zero White Stripes songs, and not a single word of banter. This wasn't disappointing but fascinating—the realization of White's expressed desire to perform a show featuring only his solo material without saying a word. The undisputed highlight across all venues was "Archbishop Harold Holmes" from White's latest album—a song that transforms into a quasi-religious experience live. This new material deserves as much recognition as his White Stripes catalog, representing an artist who continues to evolve rather than simply recycling past glories. The tour concluded with a personal highlight when my nine-year-old daughter unexpectedly met White at our hotel. Her genuine smile when he noticed her White Stripes shirt reminds us that these human connections—artists inspiring the next generation—often matter most. If Jack White is coming anywhere near your city, don't hesitate. There's nothing else like it on tour right now.www.TheTouringFanLive.commedia@TheTouringFanLive.Comwww.facebook.com/TheTouringFanLiveInstagram-@TheTouringFanLiveCopyright The Touring Fan Live 2024

Three Days and Three NightsSlide 2 Do this in memory of me – has been corrupted over time. It's an annual observance that's in addition to what they were already doing. This is not optional. It may sound odd to hear “you have to do something” if you're from many of the traditional Christian faiths, but this is the hard reality. He commanded us to do something in memory of Him. We have to take that literally and seriously. Paul is repeating a commandment to the Corinthian church that He received from the Lord. They were a mixed bunch in a pagan city, so this has to apply to all types of believers and is a commandment, not an option. Slide 3 the timing. Sign of Jonah – it has to be close to 3 days and 3 nights. Slide 4 Modern timing makes no sense. Slide 5 – we have to ignore our time keeping entirely. Very hard to do. But we need to establish and anchor point. Some time in these events from which to derive when it all began and when it all ended. This anchor point is the Passover. Big deal since Yeshua is the Lamb of God. Him dying on Passover is very important to doctrine and we can get into that later. The point here is to use biblical reckoning for time and He died on Passover.Slide 6 – timeline. The anchor point is when the death happened – on the late afternoon of Abib 14. At sunset on Abib 14 starts the High Sabbath of ULB1. This is where we measure from. Then we look back 24 hours and see the night He was betrayed. Then we add 3 to 14 and come up with the resurrection. Slide 7 The Night Yeshua was Betrayed sunset April 11, 2025 (Friday night)Passover (on Shabbat) sunset April 12, 2025Days of Unleavened Bread – April 13-19, 2025 with the 13th (Sunday) and 19th (Shabbat) as Sabbaths. There is no observance for the wave sheaf offering. It's not a Sabbath.https://firstcenturychristianity.net/three-days-and-three-nights/

Sabbath School with Branch Davidians
How Was Jesus Three Days and Three Nights in "The Heart of the Earth"?

Sabbath School with Branch Davidians

Have you ever wondered about the calculus of Jesus' "sign of Jonah" statement? Jesus said, "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth" (Matthew 12:40 WEB). This is usually understood as referring to Jesus' time in the tomb, but this interpretation runs into some obvious difficulties. The gospels leave a very plain record that Jesus was buried Friday evening soon before the Sabbath and that he was resurrected early Sunday morning. That's a span of about 36 hours, which is only half of "three days and three nights," which is 72 hours. So, the suggestion that the "three days and three nights in the heart of the earth" refers to Jesus' time in the grave, simply doesn't match the facts of Jesus' burial and resurrection. In our study today, we look at an article by J.N. Andrews from "The Present Truth," December 1849, in which he comments on the phrase "the heart of the earth," gives reason why the common interpretation isn't correct, and then explains what it really means.   For more study, see: "The Sign of Jonah, " by Victor Houteff, https://www.bdsda.com/the-sign-of-jonah/   2024 Sabbath School, Quarter 3: The Book of Mark – Week 11, "Taken and Tried"   A Branch Davidian Seventh-Day Adventist perspective on the Sabbath School lesson.  www.bdsda.com  Email us bdsdalit@gmail.com for comments and study requests.

Afghanistan was an American crusade to win the war against the “Evil Soviet Empire” and remake the world in its own image. This goes right to the heart of understanding the destiny of the Western Dream. Instead of a dream the US is caught in a nightmare. Now Americans long for a spiritual regeneration away from the vision of war as an honorable sacrifice to a vision of peace that serves all. No one seems able to make the process move in the right direction. We assimilated a profound understanding over four decades of how to envision moving from war to peace that is now in our novelized memoir, The Valediction: Three Nights of Desmond at the Kabul Hotel
