Church Application: Senior pastors should take Churchfront courses (a couple half-days) to be more informed than most lead pastors when making major AV decisions. Key Quote: "I'm motivated by the long-term vision of where this is going and how big the organization has to go that I'm just like, 'Yeah, I don't need to control everything. I don't want that life where I feel like I have to because I'm just going to be miserable about that.'" Present Leadership Without Micromanaging (17:46–19:40) Weekly team meetings where everyone shares what they're working on Asking: "What did you do last week?" and "What are you working on this week?" (3–10 minutes) Five minutes with each team member can make a huge impact Being present builds trust across the org chart Service businesses succeed based on team health and performance Jake shifted from solo productivity to supporting team members Key Quote: "That five minutes of interaction with one of your team members a week, no matter where they're at in the org chart, goes a long way because they're like, 'Oh wow, our senior leader knows me. I can trust him.'" High-Leverage Activities (19:50–23:16) Definition of leverage: low input, high output—like a tool that multiplies your strength. What Jake focuses on now: Pre-design client conversations — 2–3 hours per project that sets the trajectory for large-budget projects (using Wonder/Invention/Visionary strengths) Media creation — 30 minutes to a few hours can reach thousands (what built Churchfront over 8–10 years) Leader development — multiplication only happens as the team grows from 10+ toward 20–30 For church leaders: Sunday preaching — communication at scale (in-person and online) Developing other leaders — especially in areas where you're less gifted Key Quote: "What can I put lower input into and gives me high output? That's what a lever or a tool is." Leadership Evolution (23:23–25:23) John Maxwell's Five Levels of Leadership (applied): Position — title alone (doesn't get you much) Permission — relationships; people give you permission to lead Productivity — "Follow me because I produce results" (how Churchfront started) Leader development — "Follow me because I'll equip you to lead others" (current focus) Multiplication — creating leaders who create leaders Jake's journey: 2016: solo entrepreneur and highly productive individual Read leadership books and understood the growth track Started with productivity to get things off the ground With 10 people (and aiming for 20–30), he must focus on leader development to reach multiplication Key Insight: Leadership maturity means realizing it's more people-focused than anything else. Advice to 2016 Jake (25:44–28:06) What Jake would tell his younger self: "Buy more Bitcoin" (half-joking) With what he knows now, he could do in 2–3 years what took 10 But he wouldn't rush it—focus on the journey Be a man of good character Follow God Keep sustainable work-life balance Care for spouse and kids Don't rush—God multiplies right inputs into massive outputs Seek wise counsel on business strategy and online marketing Show up and do the work every day For young 20-somethings Jake mentors: Focus on self-leadership and the basics Better strategies exist—learn from wise voices Put in consistent daily work People don't see the late-night edits and behind-the-scenes grind Key Quote: "A lot of people see Churchfront and they're like, 'Wow, it's like 300,000 subscribers. It's a decent sized little business growing a lot.' It's like, yeah, that's after eight to 10 years of just showing up and doing it every single day." Main Themes Don't Throw the Baby Out with the Bathwater As church culture shifts away from overly corporate/produced approaches back toward authenticity, it's still worth keeping the leadership lessons that help organizations run well—especially because leadership often isn't taught deeply in Bible school contexts. Parallels Between Business and Church Leadership Churchfront is a Christian business that prays before meetings and focuses on serving the local church. The leadership principles Jake uses translate directly to church staff leadership, especially for teams of 5–15. The Secret Sauce In service businesses (and churches), the team and people are the product. That's why leader development and team health matter so much. Natural Progression Growth happens in stages. Jake went from being intimidated by the idea of 10 staff members to progressing through each hire and stage—each step building confidence for the next. (Contact@eanvoiceit.com) 18 Church Leaders Arrested in China Authorities in China arrested 18 leaders from Zion Church last Tuesday. Zion Church is one of the largest unregistered church in the country. The congregation has faced persecution for years. In the latest crackdown on the church, police detained at least 30 Christians across seven cities since October. The arrested leaders can effectively be held indefinitely in pre-trial detention. Scott Bower with Christian Solidarity Worldwide said the church leaders were “targeted solely for the peaceful exercise of their religious belief.” Taiwan Spends Extra $40 billion on Defense The self-ruling island of Taiwan plans on spending an extra $40 billion on defense in the face of threats from China. The Chinese government continues to claim the island as its own.  Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te announced the plan yesterday. He said, “China's threats to Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific region are escalating. . . . History has proven that compromising with aggression only brings war and enslavement.” The U.S. State Department welcomed the plan. And Japan recently stated that a Chinese attack on Taiwan could trigger a military response from Tokyo. Poland Facing Changes to Marriage Law In Europe, Poland is facing challenges to its marriage law. The country currently bans faux same-sex marriage and defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman.  However, the European Court of Human Rights ruled Tuesday that Poland must recognize the faux same-sex marriages of other European Union countries.  Some Polish lawmakers are trying to change the marriage law. But Poland's President Karol Nawrocki has said he would veto “any bill that would undermine the constitutionally protected status of marriage.” Jesus said in Mark 10:6-8, “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.' ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.” Roman Catholic Church Praises Monogamous Marriage The Roman Catholic Church recently praised monogamous marriage between one man and one woman. The Vatican's Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith released the document Tuesday. The doctrinal note came in response to concerns from bishops in Africa where polygamy is still practiced. The document stated, “Polygamy, adultery, or polyamory are based on the illusion that the intensity of the relationship can be found in the succession of partners.” However, the Vatican's doctrinal dicastery has previously allowed priests to give a blessing to same-sex couples in certain cases.  U.S. Highschoolers Losing Interest in Marriage In the United States, high schoolers are losing interest in eventually getting married. Pew Research reports 67% of 12th graders in 2023 said they would want to get married in the future. That's down from 80% in 1993. Twelfth graders are also less likely to want children or to stay married to the same person for life if they do get married. In particular, high school girls are much less likely to want to get married someday. Boys' interest in eventually getting married has remained relatively unchanged over the last 30 years. U.S. State Department Addresses Human Rights Violations  The U.S. State Department announced a list of acts it considers human rights violations. These acts include transgender surgeries, government funded abortions or abortifacient drugs, attempts at coerced euthanasia, and violations of religious freedom.  Tommy Pigott is the Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the Department of State. He told The Daily Signal, “In recent years, new destructive ideologies have given safe harbor to human rights violations. The Trump administration will not allow these human rights violations, such as the mutilation of children.” Do People Still Thank God on Thanksgiving? And finally, Lifeway Research reports two in three Americans say they typically give thanks to God at Thanksgiving. Lifeway Research also shared the Bible verses Christians turn to at Thanksgiving based on Bible-reading apps. Many of them are from the Psalms. One of the most-read verses at Thanksgiving over the last five years was Psalm 9:1-2. The passages says, “I will thank the Lord with all my heart; I will declare all your wondrous works. I will rejoice and boast about you; I will sing about your name, Most High.” The most popular verse last year was 1 Chronicles 16:34. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Trump adds Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern The President of the United States announced Friday that Nigeria will be added to the State Department's list of Countries of Particular Concern in regards to Christian persecution, reports ABC News. A "Country of Particular Concern" is a designation given by the U.S. government to a country that has engaged in or tolerated "systematic, ongoing, and egregious violations of religious freedom.” This designation, made by the President or Secretary of State under the International Religious Freedom Act, indicates severe religious freedom violations like torture, prolonged detention for religious reasons, or religiously inspired murder. A Country of Particular Concern designation can lead to diplomatic pressure or economic sanctions. Trump threatens Nigerian Islamic terrorists with swift justice President Trump added this passionate statement to his Truth Social on Sunday.  He wrote, “If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,' to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.  “I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!” In response, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on X, "The killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria, and anywhere, must end immediately. The Department of War is preparing for action. Either the Nigerian government protects Christians, or we will kill the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.” Last month, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas commented on X that "Officials in Nigeria are ignoring and even facilitating the mass murder of Christians by Islamist jihadists.” Mainstream media outlets sidestep Nigerian genocide In recent news reports, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and other mainstream media sources continue ignoring, minimizing, or outright rejecting the world's most egregious genocide at present -- the mass killing of Christians in Nigeria, Africa. At the same time, Genocide Watch has issued a “Genocide Emergency” for Nigeria —citing the mass slayings of Christians.   The organization considers Nigeria to have entered what they call Stage 9: Extermination and Stage 10: Denial — with this particular genocide.  Over the last 15 years, a report from the International Society for Religious Liberties and the Rule of Law counts 189,000 Nigerians slaughtered in cold blood by radical Muslims, of which 125,000 plus were Christians.   In addition, 19,100 churches were destroyed, and more than 1,100 Christian communities sacked. Nigerian Bishop upset that some deny there's a Christian genocide Bishop David Abioye of the Nigerian Conqueror Global Assembly spoke recently of the genocide, correcting what he called “the distortion of truth.” ABIOYE: “There's a lot of distortion going on. People claiming that there is no genocide of Christians in the nation. You see people buried [by the] hundreds, and you say there is no genocide. What a wicked set of people. I agree there are people killed in other place for other reasons.  “But this one is very clear, and gradually it's eating down to the South, Southwest, Southeast. Many so-called leaders, for their personal interest, are claiming it's not true, selling out their faith, if they have it at all.” Romans 13 calls the ruler or president “God's minister to you for good,” noting “he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”  Texas Supreme Court allows judges not to perform homosexual weddings Is Obergefell on ice?   That's the 2015 Supreme Court ruling which purportedly legalized same-sex mirage in this country.  The Texas Supreme Court has ruled that judges who refuse to perform homosexual faux marriage ceremonies will no longer face disciplinary action for their decisions, reports The Christian Post. This comes right as the US Supreme Court will be discussing the same issue, scheduled for this Friday. Kim Davis, the former Kentucky county clerk, has appealed her case, where she was convicted for refusing to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples after the Obergefell decision came down in 2015. Reformed pastor arrested for soliciting prostitutes A Presbyterian Church in America pastor from Tulsa, Oklahoma has been arrested on charges of soliciting prostitutes, reports ChurchLeaders.com. Jeremy Fair, senior pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church, was one of five men implicated in a sting operation. The church has placed the pastor on indefinite leave, according to a statement issued by the session. U.S. government shutdown about to become longest in history The current American government shutdown is about to round its fifth week, or 35th day.  If the shutdown continues through tomorrow, this will be the longest in U.S. history — exceeding the record set during the first Trump administration in 2019. Because of the ongoing financial crisis, President Donald Trump is urging the Senate Republicans to scrap the 60-vote filibuster threshold in favor of the simple-majority passage of legislation. However, on Monday, Senate Majority Leader John Thune said there's not enough support among Republican senators to eliminate the filibuster, reports Politico.com.  However, Senator Thune did express optimism about the Senate's resolution of the shutdown this week, reports CBS News. Trump admin will partially fund November food stamps On Monday, the Trump administration agreed to move billions of emergency dollars to partially pay for food aid this month in response to a federal judge's order, though some families may not receive benefits for weeks, according to Politico.com. Officials will use $4.65 billion from the USDA's contingency fund to support roughly half of food stamp participants' “current allotments” as the shutdown drags on, according to a new legal filing. Help victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti Late last week, Category-5 Hurricane Melissa clobbered Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti, leveling whole towns, and killing 67 people, 32 of whom were in Jamaica, reports NBC News. Samaritan's Purse has airlifted their Emergency Field Hospital to Black River, Jamaica, and has already delivered tons of emergency supplies where the island nation has racked up $4 billion of insured losses.    To contribute to this relief effort, click on a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.   Iceland, Denmark, Australia & UK kill virtually all Down Syndrome babies And finally, in 2 Timothy 3, the Apostle Paul speaks of perilous times where men become “lovers of themselves, lovers of money … without natural affection … brutal … lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. [and] having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof...” Catholic World Report has released numbers on nations aborting children with Down syndrome.   Iceland aborts nearly 100%, Denmark 98%, and Australia and the United Kingdom are killing about 90%  of its babies conceived with Down's Syndrome. The UK Gospel Witness, including a group of reformed pastors, will be gathering at the U.K. Parliament building on Thursday, to call the nation and its leaders to repentance.  Pray for this outreach.
