I bring back Coach Bru to chat about best practices on goal setting.John Brubaker is a highly sought after keynote speaker, award-winning author and executive coach known for his unique approach to performance enhancement. He has front line, high-stakes, high-stress experience as a championship coach. His 12 year coaching career ended with him getting fired – on his birthday! This experience taught John all the powerful lessons of coaching: teamwork, setbacks, strategy, and implementation – but equally the importance of balancing your life.Coach Bru's programs are based in real-life and are road-tested. John has devoted the past 20 years as a coach, bringing together and building on the combination of his life experiences to help leaders and teams not just move to the next level but to Stadium Status.Chin Up Chest Out was founded in 2019 by John Brubaker. In 2019 Brubaker was hit with a string of injuries and that took a toll on both his physical and mental health. Spending much of the year in therapy, he began using the motto “Chin Up Chest Out… Move Forward” to push himself and stay positive. No matter what you're going through, keep your chin up, chest out and move forward. The phrase became more than just a reminder for him. It became a mindset in dealing with adversity and he felt it's positive impact in every area of his life. So, he wanted to share that mindset and message with the world to enable others to reap the same benefits. Have you ever heard of the term, “Stadium Status?” It signifies that someone has reached such a large audience of followers that their fans can fill an entire stadium. Think of bands like the Rolling Stones, athletes like Michael Jordan, or actors like the Rock. It represents the top of the game. Businesses and individuals can reach this level too. My guest today is John Brubaker, also known as Coach Bru. John is a former college lacrosse coach turned author, speaker, and business coach. John speaks and writes on leadership and business issues. I have been a long-time fan of his “out of the box” thinking when it comes to growing businesses. He often says that “Weird wins” and he's right. One idea from his book, “Stadium Status” produced more than $1 million in new business for my company, Peak Demand. He has followed that book up with a sequel called, “Beyond Stadium Status” and I'm excited to have him on the show to discuss how to grow a business to “Stadium Status and Beyond” John Brubaker's Website Stadium Status Book Beyond Stadium Status Book John Brubaker on Twitter _____ Become a leader worth following today with these powerful resources: Purchase my bestselling leadership book "I Have the Watch: Becoming a Leader Worth Following" Subscribe to my leadership newsletter Follow Jon S Rennie on Twitter Follow Jon S Rennie on Instagram Follow Jon S Rennie on YouTube

We often brainwash ourselves into thinking “our business is different” or “our industry is different.” Or that political campaigning must be different than entrepreneurship. This misconception couldn't be further from the truth. The fundamentals are fundamental in every industry and when you can create a system, you bring calm to chaos and clarity to confusion. Whether you're a politician or entrepreneur, you're in the same business. You're first and foremost in the relationship business, then the business of whatever field you work in. A campaign, whether it's a political campaign, a crowdfunding campaign or a business-development campaign is essentially a system with a clearly defined outcome, starting point and finish line. In this episode we break it all down with guest expert Paul Weaver, who is a career educator (college professor) and is running a campaign for local office in his town. NOTE: We do NOT discuss politics, merely the parallels between an election campaign and new business development. You'll IMMEDIATELY hear about numerous opportunities and strategies you previously hadn't considered. I worked in a cafe for 7 years, and I learned that cafe's are where some of the most interesting people hangout. The people with unique opinions, odd beliefs, and fascinating lifestyles. The people who are changing the world. This got me thinking of how cool it would be to have a cafe where the most interesting people would come in, and you could have crazy conversations over a cup of joe. This is where I got the idea for Coffee with Klingman. So WELCOME to my café of interesting conversations with unique individual, about important, absurd, and controversial topics. And of-course, over a cup of coffee ☕ I'm talking with John Brubaker (aka, Coach Bru).
