In this powerful episode of the 9941 Podcast, Granger Smith, Tyler Smith, Parker Smith, and special guest Amber dive into one of life’s most formative seasons—middle school—and the lasting impact of fatherhood, identity, and faith. The conversation explores how early experiences shape confidence, character, and belief systems, especially through the influence (or absence) of a father. Amber shares a deeply personal story about growing up without feeling fully seen or loved by her dad, while the group reflects on how God’s design for fatherhood points us back to our ultimate Father in Heaven. This episode tackles real-life struggles—parenting teenagers, balancing discipline and empathy, and navigating unmet desires—through a biblical lens. Anchored in Scripture like Matthew 7 and Ephesians 6, the discussion challenges listeners to rethink what we want versus what we truly need, emphasizing contentment, trust in God, and spiritual growth over temporary fulfillment. Whether you’re a parent, a young adult, or someone wrestling with faith, this episode offers encouragement, conviction, and clarity. Episode 2 of the 9941 Podcast tackles a question many Christians quietly wrestle with: How should believers think about nicotine? In an honest, Scripture-centered conversation, Granger Smith, Tyler Smith, Parker Smith, and AntMan explore the difference between Christian freedom and spiritual slavery—asking whether substances like nicotine, caffeine, or alcohol have dominion over our lives or are simply neutral tools. Drawing from passages like Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 6, Galatians 5, and Romans 8, the group discusses addiction, conscience, legalism, cheap grace, and the responsibility believers have not to place stumbling blocks in front of others. The episode also features a powerful testimony of a man in Japan who came to faith through daily Scripture reading and discipleship, illustrating the heart of the 9941 mission: reaching the one and equipping the ninety-nine. The conversation closes with a clear presentation of the gospel and a reminder that true freedom is found not in self-control alone, but in Christ alone. The 9941 Podcast is a Christian podcast hosted by Granger Smith, Tyler Smith, Parker Smith, and Anthony Lay. Rooted in Luke 15, the show exists to seek the one who feels lost and to equip the ninety-nine to live out their faith with clarity and conviction through Scripture, honest conversation, and real-life stories. Welcome to the very first episode of the 9941 Podcast—a faith-centered conversation rooted in the words of Jesus and the mission to leave the ninety-nine to find the one. In this debut episode, Granger Smith, Tyler Smith, Parker Smith, and The AntMan introduce the heart behind 9941 and explain why this podcast exists. What began as the conclusion of the Granger Smith Podcast now becomes a focused calling—discipleship over popularity, obedience over comfort, and faith over fear. The group reflects on Granger’s decision to step away from country music, the ripple effect it had on family and business, and how God reshaped desires, priorities, and identity along the way. Tyler shares a powerful testimony of surrender after striving in his own strength, while Parker talks about transition, obedience, and trusting God through uncertainty. Together, they wrestle honestly with questions many believers face:Is what I’m doing good—or is it pleasing to God?Am I reaching the crowd, or the one God is calling me to? This episode sets the spiritual foundation for the 9941 Podcast—centered on Luke 15, grounded in Scripture, and focused on authentic conversations about salvation, discipleship, trust, and following Jesus wherever He leads. If you’re searching for a Christian podcast about faith, obedience, purpose, and real-life transformation, this episode is where the journey begins. They dive into the creative madness behind the viral videos (like shooting ATM machines and prison doors), sourcing wild items from Facebook Marketplace, and the deeper message behind faith-driven merchandise. The conversation takes a powerful turn as Granger shares a story of conviction sparked by a simple sandwich shop encounter and reflects on how even our wardrobe can be a witness to the Gospel. He opens up about an upcoming mission trip to Latin America, walking listeners through a fresh sermon he’s preparing on Luke 7—where Jesus forgives a sinful woman, and how it reveals our universal need for grace and forgiveness. Later, the guys get real about movies that make them cry (from Braveheart to Old Yeller), and tackle a thought-provoking listener question about Catholic vs. Protestant doctrine—covering topics like Mary’s sinlessness, transubstantiation, and sola scriptura. Whether you’re deep in theology or just want to hear brothers laugh about Tyler skipping the show for a massage, this episode balances humor, heart, and truth beautifully. ********************************************** CONNECT WITH MY PODCAST: Instagram► https://instagram.com/GrangerSmithPod YouTube► https://www.YouTube.com/@UCD1JSCn257RlatavklMALyg My NEW BOOK HERE▶ www.grangersmith.com APPAREL™️ GEAR ▶ https://YeeYeeApparel.com SUBSCRIBE HERE ▶ http://smarturl.it/gschannelsubscribe Subscribe to my family channel here ▶ http://youtube.com/TheSmithsTV TALK TO ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram► https://instagram.com/GrangerSmith Facebook► https://facebook.com/GrangerSmith Twitter► https://twitter.com/GrangerSmith Website► https://GrangerSmith.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Parker shared the incredible story of his hunt for a massive buck in Michigan. This deer, known as "Turkey Foot" due to its unique rack, was a true rarity in the state, making Parker's achievement all the more impressive. Parker, who grew up in a hunting family, had been actively managing their property for years, passing on younger bucks in the hopes of allowing them to grow into mature, trophy-worthy deer. This dedication to responsible hunting and deer management paid off when Turkey Foot made an appearance on their trail cameras. The family had actually spotted Turkey Foot the previous year, but decided to let him go after he broke off one of his antlers. They wanted to give him another chance to grow and reach his full potential. Little did they know that the following year, Turkey Foot would return with a rack that would surpass their wildest expectations. On opening day of gun season, Parker found himself in his hunting shack, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to encounter Turkey Foot. After a few hours of patiently watching and waiting, the massive buck finally appeared. he decided to pass, knowing he wanted to make a clean and ethical kill. Later in the day, Turkey Foot made another appearance, this time heading towards another hunter on their property. However, the buck changed direction and started moving towards Parker. With careful range-finding and precise timing, Parker took his shot when Turkey Foot presented the perfect opportunity. The buck ran off, and Parker anxiously waited to see if he had made a clean kill. This podcast episode not only showcased Parker's remarkable hunting story but also highlighted the importance of responsible deer management and the joy of hunting with family. Parker and his family's dedication to passing on younger bucks and allowing them to grow into mature deer is a testament to their commitment to the sport and the conservation of wildlife. The story of Turkey Foot serves as a reminder that with patience, dedication, and a little bit of luck, hunters can have the opportunity to encounter and harvest truly exceptional deer. It also emphasizes the importance of respecting hunting regulations and ethical hunting practices to ensure the sustainability of wildlife populations. Parker's hunt for Turkey Foot will undoubtedly be a cherished memory for years to come. The massive buck serves as a symbol of the rewards that come from responsible hunting and the beauty of the natural world. Jones and Butler attempted to rob two individuals who subsequently shot them in self-defense. The current agreement sees 19.75% of Marietta's hotel-motel revenue go to the authority, but the city council has voted to defer action on a new agreement until the next mayor and council take office in 2026. The decision could impact the authority's plans for a major renovation, including a new on-site hotel. The authority argues that stable revenue is crucial for its redevelopment plans. STORY 5: k9 The Georgia Police K9 Foundation has provided a LOF Streetfighter Vest, valued at $1,200, to K9 Axel of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The organ, which arrived in July 2021, is replacing the church's 50-year-old pipe organ that was in disrepair. The installation is expected to be completed by November 5th, coinciding with a consecration service. The German-built organ by Glatter-Götz cost $1.5 million and took 18 months to construct. The church's organist, Brian Parks, explained that consultants are fine-tuning the pipes to ensure proper sound quality and volume, likening the process to blending an orchestra. Story 8: board Unlike other local government bodies in Cobb County, the Marietta school board does not broadcast or record its meetings for public viewing. Board members and the superintendent have varying opinions on the matter. Only one board member, Jaillene Hunter, expressed explicit support for making meetings available through live streams or recordings, emphasizing transparency. Other members had concerns about the cost of implementing such changes and the impact on the close-knit community feel of in-person meetings. The district had experimented with live streaming during the pandemic, but the impact on engagement was minimal. The board chair, Kerry Minervini, noted that current resources are better focused on education rather than recording meetings. Story 9: debut The Walker Wolverines, under new coach TJ Anderson, showed significant improvement from last year's disappointing season as they triumphed over the Indians with a commanding 43-0 shutout victory. The team started strong and maintained control throughout the game. Coach Anderson emphasizes focusing on the present season and improving fundamentals. Quarterback Aidan Charles had a standout performance with 116 passing yards, complemented by a robust rushing game that contributed to their 371 yards of total offense. The defense played exceptionally well, holding the Indians to under 100 total yards. Special teams also made an impact by blocking multiple punts. Coach Anderson credits the team's dedication and aims to continue progressing week by week. …Back with final thoughts after Break: -Art - Henssler 60 - JRM Signoff- Thanks again for hanging out with us on today's Marietta Daily Journal podcast. Have you ever heard the term “your strength is in your struggle?” The Simple Sales System was born as the result of a life transition that forced me to take a good hard look at my business and my numbers. Once I got over the struggle of doing that (and saw the massive results it created in my business and my life), I wanted to help other photographers do the same thing, ideally before they were forced to do so by events outside of their control. Today, Cassidy Parker Smith is sharing about the set of personal circumstances that forced her to make some hard changes in her business, and how that struggle actually turned out to be one of the strongest things she has ever done... for herself, her family, and her business.
