I'm going to list off 4-5 games, and everyone else has to guess how much the games are worth in total. Whoever's guess is the closest wins that round, and the next person lists off their games. Everyone brought a list of games, and everyone guesses on each other's lists. At the end of the game, whoever won the most rounds wins the game! But look out for Polterguest! He guesses $300 on each list, and if he wins the game I have to give away a sticker from the merch store!” Dan's list Sam's list John's list “Spot the fake” We're given a list of game titles, and we have to guess which one was made up. “Games Described Badly” We're given several descriptions of video games and we have to guess what game is being described. "Retro-pedia" I'm going to start reading the description of a game from wikipedia. As soon as you think you know it, yell out your answer! If you're wrong I'm giving the other people an opportunity to guess. If everyone's wrong I'll keep reading until someone else yells out. “Trivia Card” Check out the Price Is Retro Database at Retrologic.games, we'll be having Flightsy on an episode coming up to talk PiR stats! Show Topic   Topic: 2022, the year of tactics. Advance Wars: Re-Boot Camp Triangle Strategy Mario VS Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Metal Slug Tactics Front Mission 1st Dune Spice Wars   twodollarhero —  My love for the criminally underrated Codename STEAM is well documented at this point, but I'm constantly thinking about how good Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was. Every time it comes up in conversation, it's like a fever dream. That concept had no business being that good of a strategy game. the Well-Red Mage —  FF Tactics, somedays my all-time favorite Final Fantasy ❤️ Fight Crab Fanatic —  Jeanne D'Arc for the PSP was really good (and unforgiving) Mystaria Realms of Lore for the Sega Saturn oops —  Tactics ogre and final fantasy tactics (my favorite game of all time)are the goats but a very underrated game I really enjoyed was arc the lad twilight of spirits on ps2. ElPeeDee (Liam D) —  the Fire Emblem and Advance Wars GBA games are favorites of mine since I played them on my SP in the back of my college Economics classes (woops).  in the broader strategy sense, i spent a lot of time playing the Command & Conquer series over the years and just started playing through Warcraft 2 again.  I love base building and planning out offensives Flightsy —  Does Pikmin count?  I don't really play tactics games, but they've always seemed interesting.  Actually, this leads into a CCQ of my own!  What are some good Strategy and Tactics games I could try out? solo_something —  FE 3 houses.  Love how it's tactics and some drops of rpg running around the grounds as I complete quest, reunite missing items, and take time for a cup of tea; sometimes from what I planted.  Also, helping a girl realize she doesn't have to stay locked up in her room. SpiderShan —  I have the most experience with Fire Emblem games which I first picked up on a whim on GameCube (Path of Radiance). Since then I've played nearly all the English released games in the series. I don't mind the newer games like Three Houses, but I miss the older ones without the dating/marrying/kids stuff.  My favorite strategy game is probably the original FF:Tactics.  The GBA sequel was okay but I wasn't crazy about the Law mechanics which bogged down the battles.  I really want to get into Triangle Strategy one of these days! Community Couch   Questions Flightsy —  CCQ: How do you find good retro stores near you?  I've tried looking it up and only stuff like Game stop and Disc Replay seems to come up. Fight Crab Fanatic —  If you had to collect a niche of retro games what would you pick? (example: WWII games, Wrestling games, The DS Imagine Babysitters series) oops — 03/19/2022 What's a game you missed when it was new then revisited later and you could not believe how good it was? We kick things off talking about the latest Smash Bros DLC with Pyra/Mythra being added to the game and they may be one of our favourite additions yet! Bally meanwhile has been making his way through the original Spyro The Dragon on Switch, a classic he didn't grow up with but certainly has some nostalgia for. Hello everyone and welcome back to the show! This week is a very special episode as we have our 2nd guest on the podcast, namely Liam (aka Tamaki) from Unseen64, Nintendo Life and many other places on the internet! He is an expert in the art of unreleased video games, and we have a great discussion with him about them, but first we discuss what we've been playing! Bally continues his platformer education with Rayman Legends on Wii U and has postive early impressions. Liam hasn't had much time to play games, but brings discussion on Rare Replay and Bayonetta 2. Finally Nbz closes things out with his early thoughts on Code Name STEAM, which has surprisingly not driven him completely insane yet. After the break we answer e-mails on a follow up to Chris Pranger's firing and diversifying our gaming tastes, before closing out the show with an extended conversation about Liam's work with unreleased games and more. What a week this week was! NBZ and Fizz had some fun played some games and talked to you guys about some things! Zed talked about playing Codename STEAM, Sleeping Dogs, Stealth Inc 2, Tales of Borderlands, Batman Arkham Asylum, and his sister playing some Soul Caliber online. Both of the boys talk a little Splatfest in Splatoon. Fizz talked about playing a little Guacamelee since he heard Bally talk about it on This Nintendo Life. Fizz also played some Pro Wrestling X and mentions the Pokemon TCG has got its claws back around him. So he's been playing a lot of the card game online. Naturally, Fizz played some Hearthstone and talks about The Grand Tournament.Fizz teaches NBZ about David Lee Roth, NWA, The LA Riots, and Rodney King throughout the show in his quest to localize Zed into a full on American. Soon enough Zed will toss his crumpets aside for hamburgers in no time. The boys talk about Might No. 9, a new xbox one, how to play Evolve for free, Dragon Age Inquisition DLC, and Konami is opening their big dumb mouths again. The Gamecast Boys then ended the show with a couple of viewer questions and plugs..iTunes!https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/yo-gamecast/id993896402?mt=2or Stitcherhttp://www.stitcher.com/podcast/yofizz/yo-gamecastor shoutcasthttp://shoutengine.com/YoGamecast/Your hosts:https://twitter.com/YoFizzYThttps://twitter.com/LordnbzTwitch:http://www.twitch.tv/YoFizzYThttp://www.twitch.tv/LordNBZ

Wow! A day late on this one, I'm super sorry guys! Fizz is back from vacation and he is ready to get back to discussing stuff with Zed like he was born to do!Zed and Fizz lead the show off by talking about video games they've been playing recently as they normally do. They touch on Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, Super Meat Boy, Chrono Trigger, Killer Instinct, Trine 3, Sleeping Dogs, Megaman X, Codename STEAM, and Zed bought an amiibo... he's being turned. After the break the boys jumped into news and led with the what could have been tragedy at Pokemon Worlds. They move forward to happier news shortly after like Pokken Tournament getting a release time period announced, Phil Spencer talked a lot about backwards compatibility and hinted that original xbox games could be coming to xbox one eventually,  Nintendo files a patent, possible Nintendo movies, Quality of Life, and we talked about how you could get some deals from Uber and Green Man Gaming. The show wrapped up with talking about aditional Rare Replay content, and the last bit of news was that Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain got a 10 on game spot. Steven is joined by old favourite Daniel, and streaming YouTubing all around swell bloke Troy to talk about the big news of the fortnight like gold amiibo, silver amiibo, medically trained amiibo. There's lots of amiibo, okay. Nintendo's financials, E3 plans, mobile games, Splatoon's Global Testfire and some other bits of news get a mention as well. As for talking about games, the crew touch on the recently released StreetPass games, as well as Intelligent Systems' long delayed but finally released in Australia strategy RPG, Code Name: STEAM. Leading off in New Business is the new-apartment dwelling Donald, who has a couple of flawed portable RPGs with Codename STEAM for the 3DS and Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines. After early impressions of an infamous Smash tournament and the remake of the year, the baton is thrown to Stephen for a Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate update and information on the trippy 3DS puzzler Ketzal's Corridors, now available on Club Nintendo for coins if you can access it. Austen gets off the portable train by hitting a whole shedload of Resident Evils, indie puzzle masochism simulator Ori and the Blind Forest, and the FFXV demo starring a giant enemy Ramuh who attacks the planet for massive damage.A brief Whatcha Watchin' has Donald passing, Stephen quick-hitting Fish Kings and S3 of House of Cards, before Austen catches up on Agents of Shield and the new Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon. (The Kotaku article referenced: http://www.kotaku.com.au/2015/03/the-new-transformersis-off-to-a-shaky-start-and-thats-just-prime/).The Feature was recorded a few weeks ago, but does feature a load of speculation about Nintendo's future in lieu of certain St Patrick's Day announcements, as well as a post-games Konami and how the hell Sony can sell 20 million systems when all their first party stuff gets delayed. For the Mushrooms, it's all about the changes, including some companies refusing to change.55 is in the can and will come out soon, but we can always use some feedback - tweet us @nfrpodcast or just drop it below. And you might notice something different about the NWR thread...This podcast was recorded on March 21 and edited by Donald Theriault. All clips/music used under fair use discussion.
