Episode 186 it is - we're taking a closer look at theological suppositions, ecclesiastical superstitions, magic and myth. Some housekeeping - first thanks to John for taking the time to send a note regarding ecclesiastical and to Mphuthumi for your message about Nkosi Maqoma - I'll get hold of your book, The Broken River Tent published in 2017. In this episode we're going to plunge into a sea of mystery because we're going to investigate the incredibly diverse history of situations where people believe they can turn bullets into water - or where traditional methods were deployed to deflect incoming projectiles. These are widely held beliefs which surface in popular ‘millenarian' movements – usually uprisings against colonial conditions. You've heard how Mlanjeni's philosophy had motivated so many to take up arms against the invaders, his message of salvation had spread throughout the Cape. amaXhosa and other people felt it resonated with personally, so they gravitated towards the prophet. amaXhosa chiefs like Maqoma and the paramount Sandile realised that Mlanjeni had the power of persuasion and visited the prophet. But they weren't alone because by the mid-nineteenth century, charismatic men and women like Mlanjeni of the amaXhosa had taken to mixing Christianity and animist faiths to create a new way to deal with colonisation. This is a classic process in social structures. The old ways were failing — how could assegai's beat artillery? Turn to enchantment, wizadry, spellcraft, mysticism. The missionaries had closely interwoven their Christian message with western civilisation, diametrically opposed to traditionalism. So prophets like Mlanjeni seized part of their narrative, the salvation message, and merged it rather than opposed it using traditional views to distinguish themselves from the missionaries, to coopt the power so to speak. An ancient philosophy rooted in a world view now threatened by a new industrial powerhouse alter itself, took hold of the strengths of the invader and mixed the message. Missionaries had preached salvation and many of these millenarian movements used part of the story of the Bible, exodus, the crucifixion, Christ rising from the dead, combined with their own ancient myths and legends, to create a really potent new doctine that made sense. This is all linked to what anthropoligists and psychologists call Cognate epistemology. It was identified as something that occured between southern African hunters, herders and farmers, San Khoe and bantu speakers. Cross-cultural convictions emerge amongst people who share a common landscape. Cognate epistemology is the study of knowledge—how we know what we know — exploring questions like "What is knowledge?" and "How do we acquire this knowledge?” I am by no means denegrating those who believe this. Because another way of thinking about cognate epistemology is how folks like to dive deeply into that pool of disinformation called X and or WhatsApp, sharing social media bilge. The very idea of an influencer itself, correlates almost exactly with those who seek cognate connectivity — advertisers also deploy this concept constantly. So go tell your favourite influencer on TikTok that they're indulging in Cognate Epistemology. When Fort Hare was attacked at 9am on the morning of 21st January 1851, six thousand warriors were yelling Bolowana as they descended on the fortified post. The concept of Armageddon is related to military struggles, to the place of the great battle and wickedness, and is mentioned in the book of Revelation. This passage has its final fulfillment not in physical terms, but in the spiritual era when the true believers stand in their positions. This publication deals with the concept of Armageddon and is summarized in three headings, which indicate where, how, and when Armageddon takes place and what its consequences will be. The three aspects are deeply intertwined with each other. It is the site, the manner, and the period in which this event takes place that the author intends to provide material for analysis. The word "Armageddon" is derived from Hebrew, and the original Greek script has the term "Harmagedon." The word has given origin to the mystique with which countries of the world always use terms like the "Third World War" and portray their physical-political viewpoints about last world events. Palestine (Israel) is the place where the Valley of Armageddon is located. Brother Branham indicated that it is about a 14-hour walk and a day's journey from Jerusalem to this Valley. Its first mention is in the passage of Judges 5:19. This text is related to the victory of Barak and Deborah over King Jabin of Canaan and his general Sisera. The Hebrew term, Har Megiddô, denotes the towering hill about fifty miles north of Jerusalem upon which the fortress of Megiddo was built. There, toward the end of the second millennium, Thutmoses III won a major victory which climaxed his campaign against Palestinian Amorites. Fifteen centuries later, in 609 B.C., Pharaoh Necho II, returning to Egypt after assisting Syria in repelling aggressive Babylon, pursued some remnant of Judah's force under King Josiah which sought refuge behind these walls. According to the account in Second Chronicles, the king was slain, and his body was transported back to Jerusalem for burial. It is first of all important to understand just what Armageddon is. The term "Armageddon" comes to us from the Book of Revelation, itself at the end of the New Testament. It is presented in descriptive purport as a prelude to that supreme finale in which God's righteous rule is asserted upon the earth as it is in Heaven and an eternity is ushered in of happiness and peace for the remaining ones of mankind. However, anybody who reflects on our world as an enduring totality of time and space is now increasingly faced with the thought that the destiny of that world is evil. More prosaically, we are all agreed, including the secular humanists, that we have to do something about it, but the fact that the problem is now perceived in a secularized manner does not make it any more tractable. The earlier belief that the notion of a beneficent God, who will ultimately bring about the final victory of His will, could give a total and an acceptable answer and provoke a total and unambiguous belief, has disappeared. It is a question of very fundamental importance to note that this traditional belief, in the clarification of which an understanding of the notion of Armageddon is crucial, will continue to lose ground. In terms of cultural and historical significance, the notion of Armageddon is of a very different order from the more or less forgotten notions of devil and hell. Today we are seldom, if ever, agitated by the thought that at our death - and as far as life's duration goes, we are already amidst the children of eternity - one of us might go to hell. In fact, the concept of the omnipowerful, omniscient, all-knowing, and therefore necessarily benevolent God who might sentence some of his creatures to unremitting punishment for eternity seems now utterly alien to us. The name "Armageddon" is not difficult to explain. The concluding verses of the 16th chapter give us a description of the Kingdom of the Beast and of the circumstances that lead it to provoke the intervention of Christ Jesus. Three unclean spirits, it would seem to be, two Beasts and a False Prophet, work miracles, induce the kings of the earth to assemble at a place with a Hebrew name, Har-Megiddon, after which they go forth to gather the kings of the whole world for the final battle. The name this refers to, as most Biblical commentators insist, is the plain of Esdraelon, which has formed throughout the course of the Iron Age the easiest communications route from north to south, and is thus of direct concern to the inheritors of the ancient Empires of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, of each of which Megiddo was at times the key fortress. It was a suitable location, in other words, for all the varied and Leviathanic opponents of the Israel of God, as it will be for all the varied and Leviathanic enemies of the Church. Other explanations are merely ingenious and unrelated to the events that serve as the background of the final apocalyptic catastrophe. The first mention of Armageddon in the Bible is in the 16th chapter of the Apocalypse or Revelation. The last of the series of seven Vial-plagues that bring to an end the reign of the Antichrist, who has shown himself both as against and in place of Christ Jesus, is poured on the air by an Angel, and a Voice from the Temple in Heaven proclaims: "It is done." In Biblical language, there is no hint of resignation or despair in such a declaration, but rather of achievement, with possibly overtones of relief. The Vial-plagues have brought to an end the trials and persecutions of the Faithful. The reign of the counter-Christ has been terminated, and in the brief but horrifying description that follows, we learn how the final defeat of the powers of darkness is accomplished. It may indeed be concluded that the notion of an 'end of the age' was central to the anonymity of the apostolic teaching preached during the A.D. in a church which seemed to be already convinced that it was living in 'the Last Time'. In 2 Thessalonians, the apostle Paul justified his own unwarranted zeal (genuine enthusiasm, as Blaise Pascal was to say) on the grounds that the end of time was a phenomenon yet to make its initial appearance. What this means is that he alone perfectly embodies the complex notion and the rigorous accompanying demands of divine love, and thereby fulfills the pledge of everlasting divine rule (victory for God's righteousness) by the fostering of peace which he alone can establish between God and his creation. When it comes to the manner of this realization, not all of the New Testament books offer a perspective which is exactly at one. Harnack observed that the apostle Paul, in common with all of his listeners, expected the literal earlier end of the world. Revelation is the twenty-seventh book in the New Testament, although not the final one in the sequence of its date of origin. (2 Peter officially occupies that position.) As far as 'authorship' is concerned, it is to be included among the books in the New Testament about which there may be a query, if only because on both the Hebrew and the Christian models of prophecy, nearly everything found in it is just not to be discovered elsewhere throughout the rest of the book. "To Christ Jesus alone belong all splendor and power. May it be to him for all time," we are told in the closing verses of the twenty-seventh chapter of Revelations, and this glorious refrain seems to me to summarize the matter to the satisfaction of all. At times, the prophets are given personal experiences that illustrate this final victory of righteousness over evil. Other times, the prophets or the psalmists use a myriad of expressive and compelling literary forms to present this deep-felt belief in the ultimate triumph. These writers give various prophecies to portray this incredible victory. The writings of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Joel, Zechariah, Malachi, and the Psalms are spiritual dynamite. Their prophecies of things to come are profound. They minister to the deep, hidden psychic needs of men across the ages yet to come. Even Jesus was not exempt from quoting from many of these Old Testament prophecies. We are told He made reference not only to individuals but also to the great and dramatic events that were yet to come. With only a partial fulfillment, we would do well to carefully note these prophecies contained in both the Old and the New Testaments. Beginning in the Old Testament, a rich vein of scripture exists that refers to the concept of Armageddon. This scripture portrays a time of final destruction of the forces of evil the world over - righteousness in the final battle between good and evil. The ultimate victory of God's righteousness seems to have always been an integral part of the Judaic teachings, just as it is part of the Christian faith today. From the earliest writings, this concept is put forward, passed on to sons and daughters across centuries, and thoughtfully expounded. Turning to Islam, it is plain from the Qur'an that close affinities, and, to some extent, an overlapping of ideas exist with both Christianity and Judaism, but if one considers the concept of Armageddon specifically, it is observable that in the Muslim Rashidun and Umayyad rents eschatological speculation was unimportant due to conquests of territory, and that Muhammad's teachings, insofar as their details can still be ascertained, contained relatively little about a great end-time battle at all. Although this book is concerned with the term "Armageddon" in the Christian tradition alone, it might be enriching to cast a brief eye across the beliefs of other religions and to determine if a process of heterogenization in the interpretation of that term was to be witnessed. Christianity, just one religion among numerous others capable of having differing eschatologies, roots itself first in Judaism whose eschatological literature covers virtually the whole period of its writing. Cognate concepts can be seen adumbrated in Isaiah and taken up into the Christian tradition: within the Jewish tradition we can note once again that, at the same time, differences thrived, for example between the Pharisees and the Sadducees.

2307 thélēma (from 2309 /thélō, "to desire, wish") – properly, a desire (wish), often referring to God's "preferred-will," i.e. His "best-offer" to people which can be accepted or rejected. [Note the -ma suffix, focusing on the result hoped for with the particular desire (wish). 2307 (thélēma) is nearly always used of God, referring to His preferred-will. Occasionally it is used of man (cf. What the Christian world needs today is a good publication. I found that the one, like two centuries ago, entitled Sound Words, would fit into today's world. Times change but people stay the same. My plan is to republish this magazine, but I am not sure I will get through all 98 volumes. I will read through all the articles and do the ones that seem to fit our times. Let us start out with the original introduction. ‘An Outline of Sound Words' — Introduction In his second epistle to Timothy, the apostle Paul enjoined his beloved child to “have an outline of sound words,” and to “keep by the Holy Spirit which dwells in us, the good deposit entrusted.” This injunction, in the holy Scriptures, comes to us that we might know how to hold fast the truth of God in these last days, when it is being given up on every hand, and when its heavenly power over the hearts of God's dear saints is being lost, with consequent departure from the path of God's will. We do well to realize that the truth cannot be maintained unless the doctrine encompassed in the outline of sound words is held intelligently and tenaciously, or without the spiritual condition, consonant with the doctrine, produced in the heart by the Holy Spirit. With the true knowledge of the doctrine, and with hearts answering to it by the working of the Spirit, there will be the manifestation of the truth in the lives of God's dear saints, where indeed, it is to be held according to the mind of God. If the Lord will, we hope to send out this little magazine occasionally; desiring and praying that the Head of the body, the assembly, our Lord Jesus Christ, will furnish it with ministry that will help His beloved saints in the apprehension of the precious truth of God, and encourage their exercises towards its manifestation in their lives. William C. Reid. (Editor) Quotations of Scripture are from the Authorised Version, or from the New Translation of J. N. Darby.

Galatians 6:8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 2 Peter 1:4 by which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that through these things you might become partakers of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 2:12 But these people are like irrational animals, born to be captured and destroyed. They speak evil of the things that they do not understand, and in their corruption they will be destroyed. 2 Peter 2:19 Although they promise them freedom, they themselves are slaves of corruption, for by that which a man is overcome, to this he is enslaved. Cognate: 5356 phthorá (from 5351 /phtheírō) – destruction from internal corruption (deterioration, decay); "rottenness, perishableness, corruption, decay, decomposition" (Souter). See 5351 (phteírō). The heart is more deceitful than all things and desperately wicked; who can understand it? Jeremiah 17 Sin struggles against the Spirit. The sin nature is utterly contrary to the Spirit and beyond the control of the person (Gal. 5:17; cf. Rom. 7:7–25). It is death to the human (Rom. 8:6, 13) and an offense to God (Rom. 8:7–8; 1 Cor. 15:50). From it comes the epithumia, the entire range of unholy desires (Rom. 1:24; 7:8; Titus 2:12; 1 John 2:16). Sin even dwells within the person (Rom. 7:17–24; 8:5–8) as a principle or law (Rom. 7:21, 23, 25). Actual sins begin in the sinful nature often as the result of worldly or supernatural temptation (James 1:14–15; 1 John 2:16). One of sin’s most insidious characteristics is that it gives rise to more sin. Sin, like the malignancy it is, grows of itself to fatal proportions in both extent and intensity unless dealt with by the cleansing LIVE NOTES FOR WWW.THERAGGEDEDGERADIO.COM BY RUSS DIZDAR © 10 of Christ’s blood. Sin’s self-reproduction may be seen in the Fall (Gen. 3:1–13), in Cain’s descent from jealously to homicide (Gen. 4:1–15), and in David’s lust giving birth to adultery, murder, and generations of suffering (2 Sam. 11 through 12). Romans 1:18–32 recounts humanity’s downward course from the rejection of revelation to complete abandon and proselytization. Similarly, the “seven deadly sins” (an ancient catalog of vices contrasted with parallel virtues) have been viewed not only as root sins, but also as a descending sequence of sin.53 This process of sin’s feeding on sin is realized through many mechanisms. The ambitious author of wickedness, Satan, is the archantagonist of this evil drama. As the ruler of this present age (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 2:2), he constantly seeks to deceive, tempt, sift, and devour (Luke 22:31–34; 2 Cor. 11:14; 1 Thess. 3:5; 1 Pet. 5:8), even inciting the heart directly (1 Chron. 21:1). The natural inclination of the flesh, still awaiting full redemption, also plays a part. The temptations of the world beckon the heart (James 1:2–4; 1 John 2:16). Sin often requires more sin to reach its elusive goal, as in Cain’s attempt to hide his crime from God (Gen. 4:9). The pleasure of sin (Heb. 11:25–26) may be self-reinforcing. Sinners provoke their victims to respond in sin (note the contrary exhortations: Prov. 20:22; Matt. 5:38–48; 1 Thess. 5:15; 1 Pet. 3:9). Sinners entice others into sin (Gen. 3:1–6; Ex. 32:1; 1 Kings 21:25; Prov. 1:10–14; Matt. 4:1–11; 5:19; Mark 1:12–13; Luke 4:1–13; 2 Tim. 3:6–9; 2 Pet. 2:18–19; 3:17; 1 John 2:26).54 Sinners encourage other sinners in sin (Ps. 64:5; Rom. 1:19–32).55 Individuals harden their hearts against God and try to avoid the mental distress of sin (1 Sam. 6:6; Ps. 95:8; Prov. 28:14; Rom. 1:24, 26, 28; 2:5; Heb. 3:7–19; 4:7). Finally, the hardening of the heart by God can facilitate this process. Horton, Stanley M.. Systematic Theology: Revised Edition . BookMasters. Kindle Edition. Intro1. Hello folks, this week while preparing a lesson for one of my grammar classes I stumbled across a footnote in a grammar book on cognate objects. The topic is absolutely fascinating from both a grammar perspective and a cognitive linguistic perspective. If anyone is interested in reading more about this topic, I highly recommend this article. In particular, chapters 4 and 5 of this dissertation are worth reading if you have some time on your hands. Blog RSS

Abstract: Osteoarthritis associated pain (OA-pain) is a significant global problem. OA-pain limits limb use and mobility, and is associated with widespread sensitivity. Therapeutic options are limited, and the ones that are available are often associated with side or adverse effects. The lack of therapeutic options is partly due to a lack of understanding of clinically relevant underlying neural mechanisms of OA-pain. In previous work in naturally occurring OA-pain in dogs, we identified potential signaling molecules (artemin/GFR3) that were upregulated. Here, we use multiple approaches including knockout mice, immunological suppression in a mouse model of OA, and clinically relevant measures of sensitivity and limb use to explore the functional role of artemin/GFR3 signaling in OA-pain. We found the monoiodoacetate (MIA)-induced OA model in mice is associated with decreased limb use and hypersensitivity. GFR3 expression is increased in sensory neurons. Exogenous artemin induces heat, cold and mechanical hypersensitivity, and anti-artemin monoclonal antibody administration reverses this hypersensitivity and restores limb use in mice with MIA-induced OA pain. Our results provide a molecular basis of arthritis pain linked with artemin/GFR3 signaling and indicate that further work is warranted to investigate the neuronal plasticity and the pathways that drive pain in OA. Abstract: Repeat associated non-AUG (RAN) translation of FMR1 5' UTR CGG repeats produces toxic homo-polymeric proteins that accumulate within ubiquitinated inclusions in Fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS) patient brains and model systems. The most abundant RAN product, FMRpolyG, initiates predominantly at an ACG codon located just 5' to the repeat. Methods to accurately measure FMRpolyG in FXTAS patients are lacking. Here we used data dependent acquisition (DDA) and parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) mass spectrometry coupled with stable isotope labeled standard peptides (SIS) to identify potential signature FMRpolyG fragments in patient cells and tissues. Following immunoprecipitation (IP) enrichment, we detected FMRpolyG signature peptides by PRM in transfected cells, FXTAS human samples and patient derived stem cells, but not in controls. Surprisingly, we identified two amino-terminal peptides: one beginning with methionine (Ac-MEAPLPGGVR) initiating at an ACG, and a second beginning with threonine (Ac-TEAPLPGGVR), initiating at a GUG. Abundance of the threonine peptide was enhanced relative to the methionine peptide upon activation of the integrated stress response. In addition, loss of the eIF2 alternative factor, eIF2A, or enhanced expression of initiation factor eIF1, preferentially suppressed GUG initiated FMRpolyG synthesis. These data demonstrate that FMRpolyG is quantifiable in human samples and that RAN translation on FMR1 initiates at specific near cognate codons dependent on available initiation factors and cellular environment. Javon Johnson is an Assistant Professor and Director of African American & African Diaspora studies and holds an appointment in Gender & Sexuality Studies in the Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He received his Ph.D. in Performance Studies with a certificate in Gender Studies and Cognate in African American Studies from Northwestern University in 2010. Dr. Johnson’s scholarly interests include performance, blackness, African American literature, black pop culture, slam and spoken word, black feminist theory, black queer theory, masculinity studies, black sexualities, and ethnography.Dr. Johnson’s first book, Killing Poetry: Blackness and the Making of Slam and Spoken Word Communities (Rutgers University Press 2017), unpacks some of the complicated issues that comprise performance poetry spaces and argues that the truly radical potential in slam and spoken word communities lies not just in proving literary worth, speaking back to power, or even in altering power structures, but instead in imagining and working towards altogether different social relationships. His second project, The End of Chiraq: A Literary Mixtape (Northwestern University Press (2018) is a co-edited book that critically creatively explores Chiraq (a name that is an amalgamation of Chicago and Iraq as a way to call to the violence of certain parts of Chicago) as a space and as a term. Additionally, Dr. Johnson has published in Text & Performance Quarterly, Liminalities, QED: A Journal of Queer Worldmaking, The Root, Huffington Post, and others.Currently finishing up his first book of poems, Dr. Johnson is a creative scholar who has mounted exhibitions at the California African American Museum where he managed the History Department. A renowned spoken word poet, he is a three-time national poetry slam champion, a four-time national finalist, and has appeared on appeared on HBO’sDef Poetry Jam, BET’s Lyric Café, TVOnes Verses & Flow, The Steve Harvey Show, The Arsenio Hall Show, United Shades of America with Kamau Bell on CNN, and co-wrote a documentary titled Crossover, which aired on Showtime, in collaboration with the NBA and Nike.

King James Version (KJV) Public Domain 991 blépō – properly, to see, be observant (watchful). 991 (blépō) suggests "to see something physical, with spiritual results (perception)." That is, it carries what is seen into the non-physical (immaterial) realm so a person can take the needed action (respond, beware, be alert). From Cognate: 2400 idoú (a demonstrative particle, used chiefly in the LXX for hinnēh; "properly, the imperative, the aorist middle of eidon/horáō, to see," Abbott-Smith, BAGD) – behold, which especially calls attention to what follows from it. See 2396 (ide). From Isaiah 53:7 King James Version (KJV) 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Psalm 14:3 King James Version (KJV) 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Genesis 1:2 King James Version (KJV) 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 8:7-12 King James Version (KJV) 7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. 8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; 9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. 10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; 11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. 12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more. King James Version (KJV)
THE SPIRIT OF ERROR AND THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH 16 I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, that He may be with you forever: 17 the Spirit of truth, John 16 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and is already in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world, and therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are of God, and whoever knows God listens to us. Whoever is not of God does not listen to us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 1 John 4 4 Now the Spirit clearly says that in the last times some will depart from the faith and pay attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, 1 Timothy 4 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, that He may be with you forever: 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, for it does not see Him, neither does it know Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you, and will be in you. John 14 26 “But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me. John 15 TEST Transliteration: dokimazo Phonetic Spelling: (dok-im-ad'-zo) Definition: to test, by implication to approve Usage: I put to the test, prove, examine; I distinguish by testing, approve after testing; I am fit. See 1384 (dokimos). 1381 /dokimázō ("to approve by testing") is done to demonstrate what is good, i.e. passes the necessary test. 1381 (dokimázō) does notfocus on disproving something (i.e. to show it is bad).

I did a recent post on Facebook about demonic activity. I receive messages from people all over the world that have been experiencing night terror. Sad thing is the mainstream church is basically ignoring this in large part. I've been there. So for those of you suffering with night terrors and demonic attack the good news is there is a solution. His Name is Jesus. Here is the etymology for nightmare ---- nightmare (n.) late 13c., "an evil female spirit afflicting sleepers with a feeling of suffocation," compounded from night + mare (3) "goblin that causes nightmares, incubus." Meaning shifted mid-16c. from the incubus to the suffocating sensation it causes. Sense of "any bad dream" first recorded 1829; that of "very distressing experience" is from 1831. Cognate with Middle Dutch nachtmare, German Nachtmahr. People are flocking to the new age religions; The new age religions are providing the wrong answers; Time to seek Jesus diligently for ourselves; Here are some scriptures referencing the podcast: Matt 7:7; Romans 8:9; Jas 1:5; John 10:27;Matt 17:21; John 16:13; Heb 11:6; Please, Like, Share, Comment!
