Free mini-course on How to Stop Panic Attacks and Anxiety Attacks: https://courses.therapyinanutshell.com/ending-panic-attacks-and-anxiety-attacks Are you in the middle of an anxiety attack or feeling that rising wave of panic? Your body's going haywire—shaky hands, racing heart, dizziness, nausea—and it feels like there's no way out. In this video, I guide you step-by-step through my favorite way to stop an anxiety attack in its tracks. It's called The Activate Method, and it's more than just deep breathing or trying to "think calm." This is a guided walkthrough that tackles your fight/flight/freeze (FFF) response head-on using physical movement, emotional release, and practical problem solving. In this anxiety attack relief video, you'll learn: -Why deep breathing might not work to stop panic attacks when you're overwhelmed -What causes anxiety attacks (spoiler: it's not always what you think) -The exact steps I use to calm down and reset during an anxiety attack -How to burn off stress chemicals through movement -How to do a powerful brain dump to get anxious thoughts out of your head -The one question to ask yourself to break the cycle of anxiety -Why avoiding emotions and stress can make anxiety worse Whether you're facing panic attacks, work stress, emotional overwhelm, or that “trapped” feeling, this video walks you through how to reclaim control—step by step. I've received several requests for an episode on anxiety. Just like the ADHD episode 112, this topic is personal to me because I've experienced it. I will preface this by reminding you–I am not a healthcare professional, I am not offering medical advice, a diagnosis, or treatment. I still think it's important you gals hear others' perspectives, both so you'll feel more comfortable talking about anxiety or seeking support if you need it, and also to help you better understand those who experience it.. . .A full transcript of this episode is available in the 10 for Teens + Tweens Ep. 130 show notes on EmpowerfulGirls.com.

Allison Freeman is the visionary behind Attuned Pathways, a support group for neurodivergent parents most of which are raising neurodivergent children. She is the first person that I know of in the world to run a group like this. She joins us to explore the unique landscape of support (and the lack of) for neurodivergent parents. Our conversation reveals the underrepresented challenges ND parents face, spotlighting the relief and understanding offered by Allison's vibrant community. We discuss the transformative power of parents recognizing their own neurodivergence, and how such awareness can revolutionize family dynamics, offering a deeper, more compassionate support system for their children. As the holiday season approaches, we also tackle the stressors that can arise during family gatherings. The invaluable support provided by Allison's Attuned Pathways emerges as a beacon during these times, offering a sanctuary for brainstorming solutions, sharing, learning, and growth. About Allison Freeman Allison's journey into therapy and coaching is rooted in her belief that deep healing for neurodivergent individuals happens in community. As a neurocomplex human with AuDHD raising two high sensitive, neurodivergent children, she's learned that the most transformative growth comes not just from individual work but from being in the presence of others who share our experiences, creativity, and depth. When the opportunity to interview Animal Communicator Ellie Laks was presented, I jumped at the opportunity! Who doesn't want to know what their pet is thinking? Or other animals too! Ellie is a remarkable animal communicator and the visionary founder of The Gentle Barn. In this episode, she opens up about embracing her intuitive gift of animal communication and gives tips about how to understand your own animals. She shares her extraordinary journey of connecting with animals from a young age, leading her to establish a sanctuary in 1999 that serves as a peaceful haven for creatures in need. Her insights reveal the emotional and ethical challenges faced in animal rescue, providing a heartfelt exploration of the compassion required to care for animals who might otherwise be forgotten. About Ellie Laks Ellie Laks founded The Gentle Barn in 1999; it was a dream of hers since she was seven years old. Animals were always very healing and nurturing to her as she faced the challenges of growing up, finding herself, fitting in, feeling understood, etc. She majored in special education and psychology, and with her special love of animals and children, The Gentle Barn was a perfect way of putting all her talents and passions into one. She's the author of two books about her experiences. Find her books or see more about The Gentle Barn through https://www.gentlebarn.org Although the animals always spoke to her, she began doing formal animal communication sessions for others in 2021. Special Guest Yiannis Michael TEST YOUSELF: Are You Secretly at Risk from Panic and Anxiety Attacks? CLICK LINK ⬇ https://yiannismichael.com/panic-attacks-solution/ Ready to turn fear on its head? In this groundbreaking episode of the Human Potential Podcast, I sit down with holistic psychologist and wellness expert Yiannis Michael, who reveals a radical remedy for anxiety and panic attacks. Forget the outdated advice about “overcoming” fear—Yiannis challenges us to embrace it as our greatest strength. Having transformed his own life from fear paralysis to fear mastery, Yiannis now dedicates his work to helping others reclaim control over anxiety and panic. Yiannis exposes the myths around panic and anxiety, offering a clear, empowering distinction between fear, panic, and anxiety. He shows us that fear often has a known trigger, anxiety is more generalized, and panic brings intense physical symptoms. With this understanding, you'll gain the tools to manage each, rather than letting them control you. In a powerful moment, Yiannis introduces the concept of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold, as a metaphor for transforming our emotional “cracks” into sources of resilience and beauty. Imagine healing so deeply that your past struggles become the golden veins of your strength. By reframing fear as a “passenger” rather than the “driver” of our lives, Yiannis teaches us to use fear as a guide rather than an obstacle. Together, we dive into a new vision for society—a world where people are freed from fear-driven competition and embrace collaboration, kindness, and authenticity. With a growth mindset, Yiannis inspires listeners to see others' success as motivation, not intimidation, and to build a world where everyone thrives in their unique gifts. Key Takeaways You Won't Want to Miss: The True Remedy for Panic and Anxiety: Discover practical tools to distinguish between fear, panic, and anxiety, and learn how to manage each from a place of power. Fear as Your Greatest Guide: Transform your relationship with fear; stop seeing it as an enemy, and let it reveal hidden strengths. Kintsugi Healing: Embrace the art of mending your past trauma and struggles, turning your "broken" parts into your most beautiful assets. Outgrowing Competition: Shift from fear-driven competition to a society grounded in kindness, respect, and collaboration to reach your highest potential. Growth Starts From Within: The journey to true healing begins when you confront and break free from limiting beliefs and insecurities. Tune in for a conversation that's more than transformative—it's a remedy for reclaiming your life from fear, anxiety, and panic. If you're ready to break free from insecurity and start living a life filled with resilience, love, and boundless potential, this episode is your answer! Lisa Viviano and Dr. Liz brave a sensitive topic by sharing their experience with bladder leakage. They discuss how unexpected factors contributes to it, and how hypnosis helped them both immensely not just keep control but also feel more confident again that they can live without peeing themselves without warning! The improvement that Lisa had in bladder control led her to change her career in the dental field and train in hypnosis. She became a “hypnosis consultant” herself. hi friend!welcome back! happy october!on today's episode i'm sharing the craziness of anxiety & the anxiety attack that i experienced over the past week.the biggest takeaways from this episode - in my opinion - are as follows:-know your body -- the more you know your body the better off you are at supporting yourself day-to-day, but especially during things like an anxiety attack. knowing how your body responds to an anxiety attack is also crucial because if the manifestation is different than it normally is you can seek the help you need, immediately.-allow yourself to fully process your anxiety -- i know there are times where having a full blown anxiety attack is not possible, but don't stuff it down & pretend like it's not happening. allowing the anxiety to fester in our bodies leads to physical problems that can become serious if we don't process our emotions. give yourself space to process your feelings.-don't let others tell you there's nothing to be anxious about -- your feelings, your reactions are valid. even if your life looks shiny & perfect on the outside it doesn't mean that there aren't things to be anxious about. i'm not saying you should look for reasons to be anxious; i'm simply saying that you're allowed to be anxious, especially if your anxiety is chemical based like mine & is often uncontrollable in some regard.i hope you find this episode helpful & if you're currently experiencing anxiety, please speak with a medical provider, a confidant or at the very least journal so you can work on processing your anxiety.you're not alone. xoxo

Are you a Gary or an Emma? He thrives with a super social, demanding itinerary, and she's all about lovely calm solitude. Gary Neville has had an ambitious drive instilled in him by his parents and his football career; his wife Emma is more reserved and serene, but they reckon opposites definitely attract. Fearne had two goals for this chat, live at the Happy Place Festival: to get Gary into wellness, and to marry the subjects of football and menopause... Emma experienced early menopause, and Gary admits to some of the errors he's made in talking to her about her symptoms, but they also talk through the ways he's helped her build her confidence along the way (spoiler: there were spreadsheets involved). Do you ever wonder if you're selfish for putting yourself first? Emma explains how she found the self-belief to start a new career later in life after slightly losing her identity to motherhood. Meanwhile, Gary explains why his football career has made him into a solution-finder who wants to control problems in a practical way rather than dwelling on the emotional. What has he learnt about validating how his partner feels? Plus, has your relationship with alcohol changed as you age? Gary definitely can't drink the way he used to... Hosted on Acast. Today let's talk about the anxiety attack I *almost* had at the airport earlier this summer. Warning I'm going to take you on this journey with me detail by detail, so if you're already feeling a little worked up today, maybe come back to this episode later when my airport stress won't increase your stress but can instead be simply a chaotic story you get to listen to for your education & entertainment purposes. Hit play for the full convo! Here's the 3 takeaways:When you experience the same situations differently than someone else, that doesn't have to mean you or they are wrong for the way it is experiencedWhen we're stuck in states of dysregulation that changes the way we view and interpret situations in our life. The next time you find yourself ranting, spiraling out about, or even simply retelling an experience can you pause to reflect on whether this story is being filtered through a lens of regulation or dysregulation? If this would have happened a few years ago, I would have had a meltdown equivalent to my toddler's and it likely would have thrown me off for days. I didn't match his meltdown and I was mostly reset before the plane took off. This is just a testament that you can in fact increase your capacity for stress; there are tangible tools that work to help you regulate your nervous system; you can soften the parts of you or beliefs you have about being too much, not enough, needing to control, etc… that make situations in our lives feel bigger than they need to & this is the work we support clients with every day.Looking for more personalized support?Book a FREE consultation for RESTORE, our 1:1 anxiety & depression coaching program.Join me inside RISE, a mental health membership and nervous system healing space.Order my book, Healing Through the Vagus Nerve today!Want me to talk about something specific on the podcast?
