This bonus episode features an episode from 2020, when Bob got on the phone with Troy Eldridge . . . the State's only witness, who was used to wrongfully convict Jesse Eldridge for the murder of Keow Gove. The episode was shocking when it aired, and has become even more shocking now. Shocking because 5 years later, Jesse is still in prison waiting for a Judge to hear this evidence.

Gurdip and Olivia sit down for a super fun discussion picking one song from each of Elvis' narrative films (from Love Me Tender through Change of Habit) from within the movie itself that they especially enjoy, not including those just on the soundtrack or recorded for but cut from the final film. They also discuss the title, cover design and release date for Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough's new book "From Here to the Great Unknown," set to release later this year and speculate on what kind of book it may be. There's no Song of the Week this week due to a scheduling issue, but this is still a full-length show. SOTW returns next week with Justin and Bec! This episode was recorded before the news of the passing of Mark James, writer of "Suspicious Minds," "Always On My Mind," "Moody Blue" and others. The Jeremy White Show welcomes David MIller from IL DIVO! Multi-platinum group IL DIVO, who just released their new “XX: 20TH ANNIVERSARY ALBUM,” which just hit the Billboard charts at #1 in Classical Crossover Albums, #1 in Classical Albums and Top 40 of Current Album Sales. The album is also available as the first-ever vinyl edition of their career, with commemorative and collectable packages of “XX: 20TH ANNIVERSARY ALBUM,” available at www.ildivo.com. The iconic quartet—Urs Bühler (tenor) of Switzerland, Sébastien Izambard (tenor) of France, David Miller (tenor) of America, and new member Steven LaBrie (baritone) of America—uphold the spirit of their signature sound while expanding its scope on their 10th full-length and very first independent album on Il Divo Music/Thirty Tigers. Produced by Grammy® and Latin Grammy® Award-winning artist Carlos Fernando Lopez (Ricky Martin, Laura Pausini, Marc Anthony), “XX: 20TH ANNIVERSARY ALBUM,” includes songs sung by IL DIVO in English, Spanish and Italian; and an original composition written by the group, “Despertar Sin Ti.” In addition to the IL DIVO spin on Gnarls Barkley's “Crazy,” the album will also include Whitney Houston's “I Have Nothing,” with a Spanish version, “No Tengo Nada,”; Miguel Gallardo's “Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti,”; Brenda Lee and Elvis Presley's “Always On My Mind,” sung in English and Italian; Ed Sheeran's smash hit “Perfect”; “Despacito,” the mega-smash by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber, and more. Since 2004, the Multi-Platinum classical crossover progenitors have emerged as a phenomenon buoyed by displays of vocal prowess, gigs around the world, and an indefinable magic between them. They have sold 30 million-plus units worldwide, scored 50 #1 hits, and earned 160 Gold and Platinum records across 35 countries. Between selling out tours on multiple continents, they've performed everywhere from the Summer Olympics and FIFA World Cup to Diamond Jubilee at Windsor and the Commander-in-Chief's Ball. Life changed when the guys weathered the tragic passing of original co-founder Carlos Marín due to COVID-19. The remaining bandmates paid homage to their fallen brother with the Greatest Hits Tour in 2022. Steven LaBrie stepped in as a guest baritone on the road only for Urs, Sébastien, and David to welcome him as a full member a year later. Around the same time, they entered a studio in Coconut Grove, FL with producer Carlos Fernando Lopez. This new season represents a series of firsts: their first album with Steven, and also the first for their own label Il Divo Music with the members serving as Executive Producers and Sébastien as Co-Arranger. Kiwi music legend Tiki Taane is well known for his music. He started with Salmonella Dub, going solo after eleven years with the band and releasing his album ‘Always On My Mind.' He's topped the charts and won multiple awards for his music, and now he's taken a step into the world of film. A recording of his 2021 concert extravaganza ‘Ōtautahi Proud' has been transformed into 'Tiki Taane in session with CSO,' the film finding international acclaim. After sold-out screenings in Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, Tauranga, and Hamilton, Auckland dates have finally been announced. Taane told Newstalk ZB's Mike Hosking that he was stoked that he took the time to capture the performance. “I wanted to record it and film it and hopefully get some good YouTube videos, you know what I mean?” “It ended up being like, okay, this is really good.” Taane's known as one of the pioneers of the New Zealand dub scene, but he's always been experimental with his music, bending and blurring the lines between genres. He started working with orchestras in his twenties, telling Hosking that it “feels like a privilege.” “Seeing the power of an orchestra, where they can go so, so quiet to massively dynamic in a matter of seconds, is an incredible feeling to watch and witness.” When it comes to translating his own music to work with orchestral accompaniment, Taane said that he broke it down to the fundamentals and built around them. “I wanted the orchestra to be really involved and really just going for it.” The intent was always there to create something that could potentially be turned into a film and they certainly succeeded, winning multiple international awards. Taane is using the success of ‘Tiki Taane in session with CSO' as an opportunity to push into the film industry. “I kind of wanted to show the film community, this is what I can do.” “It's like, ‘hey, let's go, I'm ready to make some music for films, bring it on, bring it on.'” ‘Tiki Taane in session with CSO' premieres in Auckland on the 5th of October. If you were to blend the dark, heavy riffs of Sabbath & Zeppelin with the straight-ahead power of AC/DC and then add the incredible vocal crooning style of The Doors' frontman Jim Morrison, mixing everything with a generous infusion of punk rock angst and Halloween themed, gothic horror vibes to tie it all together, the end result would be DANZIG, the “modern classic” sounding “horror metal” band fronted by GLENN DANZIG (formerly of Misfits & Samhain). Prepare to enjoy yourself some quality horror croon from deep within the Bunkerpoon and head downstairs for some “dingle, dangle (followed by a liberal dose of ‘mind bleach')” so you can finally comprehend what “between your cheek and gum” actually means while “making mugshots great again…so they can nay-nay” when you JOIN US as we dig deep into “The Johnny Cash of Metal” and dive into the eerie, inky-black darkness of DANZIG - Inside The Metal: The 80's & 90's. It's Episode 48 of the Friday Night Karaoke Podcast, and the theme of the week was #FNKElvis! January 8th was Elvis Presley's birthday (and consequently FNK Moderator / Behind the Filter's host Mars Cross and FNK Founder Joe Rubin share the same), so that week the FNK community sang songs from the 50s to tip their hats to the King's big day. It's Now Or Never, so how about A Little Less Conversation and a lot more Jailhouse Rock while we build a musical Bridge Over Troubled Water to ignite our Burning Love for karaoke. If I Can Dream, it'll be about Blue Suede Shoes and That's All Right because FNK is Always On My Mind. Don't Be Cruel, and when we post our best Hound Dog, don't Return To Sender since I'm All Shook Up over The Wonder Of You. So pull up to the Heartbreak Hotel in your Long Black Limousine and get ready for our Unchained Melody to ease your Suspicious Minds - this is Elvis week and we just Can't Help Falling In Love with your songs! Featured in this episode alongside hosts Mike Wiston and Joe Rubin: Sarah Keen and Mizter Mark with Hound Dog by Elvis Paul Bright with My Ring Around Your Neck by Elvis AsthmaBully Jones with Burning Love by Elvlis Brett Arellano and Simone Tellier with You Dont Have To Say You Love Me by Elvis (originally Dusty Springfield) Joe Rubin with Let's Play House by Elvis Isabel Aguilar with It's Now Or Never by Elvis James R. Dr. Sinclair FergusonSermon Discussion Questions:1. Palm Sunday was not Jesus' first trip to Jerusalem. Why was he greeted with such fanfare upon his arrival this time?2. Jesus was treated like a true king when he entered Jerusalem but died friendless days later. Why did the enthusiasm for Christ's promised reign fail to generate enduring faith or courageous loyalty to Him?3. On at least three occasions in John's Gospel (2:4, 7:30, 8:20) we are told that Jesus' ‘hour' has not yet come. In 12:23, Christ announces that the ‘hour' has come. What does this mean?4. What is it about Christians that will convince the world to believe in Christ?5. How do we know that the prayer of Christ in chapter 17 is not only for his apostles but for us as well?

Part 2 of 2. Movie: Bubba Ho-Tep (2002). Maybe Bret and Shira didn't treat you quite as good as they should've but you were always on their minds. That is when they weren't thinking about Bret's Elvis pick, Bubba Ho-Tep. Will Shira sympathize with old Elvis and JFK's suspicious minds or wish there was a little less conversation, a little more action, please? Listen to find out and then stick around for some unchained rom com remixes.
B. Cox is joined by NaturallyAlise and JR of the R&B Representers to review SWV's debut classic album It's About Time as it turns 30. The crew is also joined with a very special guest appearance by Brian Alexander Morgan, one of the album's principal producers and co-writers.As R&B continued its evolution in the early 90s, the trio from NYC burst onto the scene with a jam packed album of hits and a long list of singles that would keep their album in the public consciousness for years until their next effort. Formed by Cheryl "Coko" Gamble, Tamara "Taj" George (nee Johnson) and Leanne "LeeLee" Lyons, the group started in gospel, but soon transitioned to R&B.The majority of the album was primarily produced and co-written by singer and producer Morgan. It also featured production from Genard Parker, Michael Brown, Saphreem King and Donald "Dee" Bowden. It's legendary run included seven singles, including the #1 R&B ballad "Weak", top R&B hit "I'm So Into You", "Right Here", "Downtown", "Anything" and the Morgan vocally-assisted "You're Always On My Mind".The album was certified triple platinum and has been considered a staple of the greatness of 90s R&B music. SWV would go on to release many albums and reunited to tour after taking long hiatus in new millennium, having influenced a great deal of their contemporaries and successors with the sound of their debut effort.Catch Alise and JR of the R&B Representers!Web: www.rnbreps.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/rnbrepsIG: https://www.instagram.com/rnbrepsYoutube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/RBRepresentersVisit The Vault Classic Music Reviews Onlinewww.vaultclassicpod.comSupport The Vault Classic Music Review on Buy Me A Coffeehttps://www.buymeacoffee.com/vaultclassicpodShow NotesAlbumism: SWV's Debut Album "It's About Time" Turns 30 | Anniversary Retrospectivehttps://albumism.com/features/swv-debut-album-its-about-time-album-anniversaryEssence: An SWV Biopic Is In The Workshttps://www.essence.com/entertainment/swv-biopic-movie/UrbanBridgez: UB Celebrates 30 Years of SMV's "It's About Time"https://urbanbridgez.com/2022/10/27/ub-celebrates-30th-anniversary-of-swvs-its-about-time/Sterogum: The Number Ones- SWV "Weak"https://www.stereogum.com/2174931/the-number-ones-swvs-weak/columns/the-number-ones/Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-vault-classic-music-reviews-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

It's approaching 3 years since my sweet Pam went to heaven. I recently had a listener ask if I still think about her because he recently lost his wife and he can't stop thinking about her. The short is answer is....yes! Yes, I think of her every day of my life and I'm thankful I do. I believe he listener felt something might be wrong with him for always thinking about this wife but the reality is those memories will always be there and the fact is, it's not a bad thing. Albert Einstein was one of the greatest scientific minds of all time. So of course people wanted to study his brain after he died. One man, though, wanted the brain more than anyone else. His career-ruining obsession with the genius noggin drove him to commit a ridiculous crime and culminated in a bizarre cross-country road-trip with an exasperated journalist. Intent on delivering the pilfered body part to Einstein's granddaughter, the duo proved that everything is indeed relative.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We're going back to the 90s and talking about one of Angie's favorite girl groups of all time, the Sisters With Voices: SWV. In this episode of Diva Dailies, Angie (@poetrysoul3) and Steffi (@inn_mho) review SWV's debut album entitled, “It's About Time” (1992). But before we talk about the album, we read listener feedback (which, THANK YOU FOR THAT) and briefly talk about our anticipation (or lack thereof) for Beyoncé's imminent Renaissance. Also fair warning: a very cringe/corny/unexpected edit happens in this episode. That one goes out to the Killing Eve fans, lol.As we do in all of our Diva Discography episodes, part 1 is an in-depth review and discussion on EVERY SINGLE TRACK of the album. We then end our conversation sharing our Top 3 favorite songs from the album, 1 song we'd cut, and the underrated gem. Make sure you tune in next week for part 2 when we talk about SWV's It's About Time era.Album Info: It's About Time is the debut studio album by American female R&B trio SWV. It was released by RCA Records on October 27, 1992, in the United States. It earned 11 Billboard Music Award nominations and became the 16th best-selling album of 1993 in the United States, with 2,100,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. It also earned SWV a nomination for Best New Artist at the 36th Grammy Awards. In 1996, It's About Time was certified 3× platinum, for shipping over 3,000,000 albums in the US alone. The album spawned five hit singles with "I'm So into You", "Downtown", "Weak", a remixed version of "Right Here/Human Nature" (the latter two reached number one on the R&B singles chart, with "Weak" being their biggest and only number-one pop hit), and "You're Always on My Mind" (shortened to "Always on My Mind" for single release). A remixed version of "Anything" appeared on the soundtrack of the film Above the Rim in 1994 and was released as the final single from It's About Time.*Email us for show notes: divadailiespod@gmail.com*Twitter & Instagram: @divadailiespod*YouTube: Diva Dailies PodcastSTEFFI'S SOCIAL MEDIA:*Twitter & Instagram: @inn_mho*YouTube: innmyhumbleopinionANGIE'S SOCIAL MEDIA:*Twitter: @poetrysoul3*YouTube: Sleepy Nerd ProductionsEPISODE TIME STAMPS:- Housekeeping (01:03)- Friendly Reminder to Review the Pod! Today's Promise: Psalm 139:17-18 Stop for a moment and consider that God is thinking about you right now. Like a loving parent, you are always on His mind. His thoughts are so numerous that to count them would be like trying to count the stars in the sky or the grains of sand on the beach. Even when you walk up in the middle of the night, you will find you are on God's mind. You can rest easy because the God you serve is thinking about you, watching over you, and working for your good.
