Dave Hum recorded a beautiful hybrid of two different songs: 'Devil's Dream and Blackberry Blossom.' Although I love playing both songs together, sometimes I just enjoy playing Devil's Dream by itself. So, I have made a backing track just for Devil's Dream. I made backing tracks in the keys of both A and G for your preference.

The Disneyland Hotel has gone for a mid-century modern look, with whimsical decorations reminiscent of it's a small world. It will snow in Downtown Disney around the big tree near Jazz Kitchen and Splitsville every half hour from 6 to 10pm. N087 Magic Key Renewals, Disney Skyliner Maintenance, and EPCOT Tours Returning

DVC Newscast by My DVC Points

Pete, Vicky, and Jen discuss the new renewal information announced for Disneyland's Magic Keys program, including price increases, blockout dates, and other changes. Disney's Skyliner will be down for maintenance in late January 2023. Disney also announced three tours will return to Walt Disney World's EPCOT in October 2022, including the popular Behind the Seeds tour. N087 Season 8 of the My DVC Points Podcast was brought to you by: DVC Resale Market - Industry Leader in DVC Resales DVC Rental Store - DVC Point Rentals Monera Financial - Exclusively Financing DVC Contracts Patreon supporters in the My DVC Points VIP Producer Club. Magic Key renewal program announced Disneyland has finally announced the renewal program for their magic key program, the equivalent of an annual pass in Florida. Some changes are being made as well as a pretty hefty price increase. The top tier program “Dream Key” is being replaced with an “Inspire Key”. This pass has a black-out dates from December 21st to January 1st, leaving no passes available for Christmas holidays. The pass price also went up $200 to $1,599 per person, though photo pass has now been added to all passes and a 20% discount on Genie+ was added to this as well as the “Believe Key”. The other Key levels remain the same, with the Believe Key price now at $1,099, which is a $150 increase. The Enchant Key went up $50 at $699 and Inspire Key for local residents at $449 also went up $50. Magic Key first became available on August 21st, 2021 - and renewals began on August 18th, 2021. Key holders will be allowed to renew up to 30 days after the expiration of their pass. And this is important - When you renew, you can choose to stay at your current pass level or choose any other Magic Key that might be better for you. However, note that there will be no new Magic Keys sold at this time, only renewals. AND, due to the popularity of certain keys, any key may sell out at any time. It's possible that a key may not be available during your renewal period (but you'll still be able to select another available Key). So essentially you are guaranteed to be allowed to renew - but NOT guaranteed to get the same pass you currently have. Source: Disneyland Website and Micechat Disney Skyliner to be down for maintenance January 2023 From January 22-29, 2023, Disney's Skyliner will be unavailable while routine maintenance is performed on the transportation system. It is unlikely that the entire Skyliner route will be closed for this 8-day span; rather portions of the line will likely be unavailable for several days while the rest of the system continues to run. Since there are three separate spurs, it is likely that one or more of those spurs may be scheduled to close for 2-3 days while the other routes continue to transport guests. The exact maintenance schedule will not be known until closer to January. Source: Walt Disney World Website, DVCNews EPCOT Tours to return There are three more reasons to visit EPCOT with the return of fan-favorite tours from the Enchanting Extras Collection beginning October 2, adding to and completing the previously announced lineup of highly popular tours returning to Walt Disney World Resort. Returning tours include the Behind The Seeds tour at Living with the Land: This one-hour walking tour gives you an up-close and personal view of amazing plants, insects and fish throughout four state-of-the-art greenhouses. Second, with EPCOT Seas Adventures – DiveQuest guests once again can dive right into this 5.7-million-gallon saltwater environment and immerse themselves into the sea life surrounding the coral reef. This experience offers SCUBA-certified guests guaranteed calm seas, unlimited visibility, no current and incredible marine life. Finally, EPCOT Seas Adventures – Dolphins in Depth, allows guests without SCUBA certification the chance to meet the bottlenose dolphins at The Seas to learn about their complex undersea behavior and talk with the experts who work with them every day. Each level of Magic Key will see a price increase from as little as $50, to as much as $200 for the high end key. The Dream Key, which was the top end key when the program started and had no blockout dates has been retired and replaced with a Inspire key, priced at $1599. New perks added to the high level keys include parking discounts, free PhotoPass, and Genie+ discounts. – https://www.micechat.com/330375-disneyland-magic-keys-everything-you-need-to-know/ and https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/blockout-dates/ Last week, Disney had their quarterly earnings call and reported some great news for the theme park division. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products reported quarterly revenue of $7.4 billion, up from $4.3 billion a year earlier. Last year, Disney Cruise Line was still shut down and the parks were still recovering, but this is still great news. However, there was one comment that made Disneyland fans upset. They stated that Genie+ and Lightning Lane increased the per capita ticket revenue, “partially offset by an unfavorable attendance mix at Disneyland Resort.” This led to Magic Key holders getting upset online about being unfavorables. – https://www.micechat.com/329833-disneyland-update-the-unfavorables-halloween-screams-toontown-secrets/ MagicBand+ hasn't come to Disneyland just yet, but there is already a new interactive game under construction that uses the technology. Batuu Bounty Hunters has already launched in Walt Disney World's version of Batuu, and will launch at Disneyland when the MagicBand+ system launches by the end of the year. The game will require the Play Disney Parks app and a MagicBand+. The MagicBand+ will change colors depending on if you are heading in the right direction and change to purple when the bounty is found. WDWNewToday had a great writeup about the game, which we have linked in the show notes. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/08/star-wars-batuu-bounty-hunters-game-station-is-under-construction-in-disneyland/ and https://wdwnt.com/2022/07/batuu-bounty-hunters-galaxys-edge-magicband/ Weeklyteers who want to know what is going on with ToonTown, we have an update for you. MiceChat has posted some new aerial photos of the work going on back there. Goofy's house has been repainted, the area where the new CarTOONial park will be has been cleared, along with all of the paving in the land. Mickey and Minnie's houses are surrounded by scaffholding and are being repainted, as is the ToonTown mountainside above the neighborhood. – https://www.micechat.com/329376-disneyland-update-part-2-flying-high-over-toontown-construction-sweet-treats/ There was a traffic accident this past week, but it wasn't on any of the loal Anaheim roads, but on the Autopia! Images posted on Instagram show two Autopia vehicles had somehow been driven on top of one of the concrete barriers. This would have been extremely difficult to do by accident as the cars are limited to 5mph. The two vehicles appeared to have been pushed up onto the concrete by colliding into one another. Cast members were unsure how this happened when they came across the scene. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/08/autopia-accident-leaves-ride-vehicles-derailed-and-damaged-at-disneyland/ Some new menu items are coming to a popular eatery in Galaxy's Edge. Docking Bay 7 will have the new menu items starting the day this episode goes live. The items include a new Cold Brew with Taro Topper, which is a nitro cold brew topped with sweet Taro cream. The other item is the Gungan Broth Noodles, which has Roasted Pork, Angel Hair Pasta, Bok Choy, Mushrooms, Yuzu-Tomato Compote, and a Pesto-Tonkatsu Broth. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/08/15/new-menu-additions-coming-soon-to-docking-bay-7-in-disneyland/ We reported a couple weeks ago about a couple of new hand pies at the resort. Now, it seems that they are all over the place and with almost as many varieties as churros, if that is even possible! Guests can get a strawberry hand pie at Candy Palace, Lemon at the Honey Spot, Blueberry at Trolley Treats, Raspberry at Bing Bongs, and Guava at Marceline's in Downtown Disney. Reports online have been extremely favorable to the new line of treats, especially the pastry part. – https://www.micechat.com/329376-disneyland-update-part-2-flying-high-over-toontown-construction-sweet-treats/ Guests have been unhappy with the paper straws in the parks for some time now. Now, there is a new eco-friendly option availalbe at teh Candy Palace on Main Street. The new straw option is an edible straw which comes in three flavors; strawberry, lemon, and lime. Each straw costs $1, and the DIsney Food Blog reports that they don't get mushy like the paper straws. For Weeklyteers who would like to try these at home, Amazon.com also sells the same brand online. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/08/09/yes-we-paid-to-eat-our-straw-at-disneyland/ A shop in New Orleans Square is getting a new mix of products from a different vendor. Mlle. Antoinette's Parfumerie will soon start offering a large collection of the Guerlain fragrances and cosmetics. – https://www.micechat.com/328951-disneyland-update-magic-keys-please-early-morning-magic-halloween-begins/ There still may be a couple weeks of summer left, but Halloween is quickly starting to appear around the resort. The Plaza Point Holiday Shoppe already has Halloween themed items available. The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is currently closed to guests as it transforms into Villains Grove for the Oogie Boogie Bash parties. Main Street and Buena Vista Street window displays are changing over as well.  – https://www.micechat.com/328951-disneyland-update-magic-keys-please-early-morning-magic-halloween-begins/ and https://www.micechat.com/329833-disneyland-update-the-unfavorables-halloween-screams-toontown-secrets/ Weeklyteers who like to participate in the scavenger hunts should get excited! Pluto's Pumpkin Persuit is coming back this year. Like in previous years, guests can purchase a game board to start hunting for the deorated pumpkins scattered around Downtown Disney. Once all the pupkins have been found, the completed game board can be turned in for a special surpise. Last year it was a choice of plastic sipper. – https://www.micechat.com/329833-disneyland-update-the-unfavorables-halloween-screams-toontown-secrets/ Detail oriented guests may have noticed some changes to some grass areas of Main Street recently. Some of the sections have been replaced by artificial terf. Based on the lack of rainfall in California, this might be a good replacement for the greenery. The new terf is almost indistinguishable from real grass and will require less upkeep. – https://www.micechat.com/329833-disneyland-update-the-unfavorables-halloween-screams-toontown-secrets/ Fans of the “I Am Groot” series on Disney+ can now get a new magic shot with their favorite baby Groot charater. Guests interested in this magic shot need to head into Avengers Campus and be siure to ask your PhotoPass photographer for this specific shot. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/08/10/disney-just-added-a-baby-groot-magic-shot-in-avengers-campus/ Discussion Topic: Philander – https://www.instagram.com/philanderc85/

Food from Disney chefs at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World are on tap, along with a Twitter watch party for Hocus Pocus on Wednesday, April 27th at 5pm Disneyland time, which will also include some digital wallpaper downloads. On Thursday, more announcements will be made to celebrate. The Disney Parks Tik Tok account will have live content from all the Disney Parks locations, with some more surprises. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/04/join-us-for-our-biggest-and-best-disney-halfwaytohalloween-celebration-yet/ Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort in the next few days can experience the ghoulishly delicious treats to celebrate Halfway to Halloween. At Downtown Disney, there will be a Cheddar Pickle Dog at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs through May 1st. There will also be a Spooky Churro at California Churro through May 4th. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/04/first-look-at-disneys-halfway-to-halloween-eats-and-treats/ A new Disneyland After Dark event is coming to the resort for the first time. Disneyland After Dark Grad Nite Reunion will take place on multiple nights throughout June at Disney California Adventure Park. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/04/introducing-the-first-ever-disneyland-after-dark-grad-nite-reunion/ The Main Street Electrical Parade returned this past week with a few new surprises that weren't announced. We all know about the new text on the lead float, and the reimagined finale float, but even more was changed! The intro to the parade has been reworked to include part of Walt's opening day speech, and the music has been updated for the finale float. A little bit of extra magic was added to the finale float along “its a mall world” and Main Street. Projections that tie into the Mary Blair theming of the new float are presented as it passes guests. – https://www.laughingplace.com/w/articles/2022/04/21/interview-how-disneyland-is-celebrating-the-50th-anniversary-of-the-main-street-electrical-parade/ and https://www.micechat.com/309935-big-disneyland-entertainment-returns-for-2022/ With the return of the Electrical Parade, two items have been very popular. The Eliot popcorn bucket, and the Turtle sipper drew long lines from guests wanting to get their hands on this fun collectible. Both of these items are available at multiple popcorn carts and dining locations, so be sure to check around if you are trying to get your hands on one of these. New for something this popular is the ability to mobile order these through the Disneyland app. This can save hours waiting in line. – https://www.micechat.com/309935-big-disneyland-entertainment-returns-for-2022/ The Main Street Electrical Parade may have stolen the limelight, but World of Color has also returned this past week. Unlike the Electrical Parade, this show is presented in its previous form with no new updates. Guests wanting to get the best viewing possible will want to either book a dining or dessert package, or grab a virtual queue reservation prompt at noon. The virtual queue spaces have been filling up almost instantly after being available. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ Character meets and greets are back at Disneyland delighting guests. A variety of interactions can be had around the parks from standing in line to see a favorite character, to a casual encounter with a character walking around. One of the longest waits for characters so far has been the Princess Fantasy Faire, with one of the shortest waits at the Fantasyland Theatre where Mickey Mouse was spotted. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ New Orleans Square has seen a flurry of activity and walls all over the place the last couple of months. The first section of modified tiering has been unveiled and looks pretty good. The walkways are more open and without the stairs and larger planters in the way, make it much easier for guests to get from one place to another. The brick walls around the planters make a great place for guests to sit for a break as well. – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsRCY-LribM Mother's Day is quickly approaching and there are a lot of options at the resort to take advantage of. Inside of Disneyland at the Plaza Inn, there is a Mother's Day Brunch with Minnie and her friends. At the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa lobby at the holiday cart, there is an assortment of sweet treats. Storytellers is hosting a Mother's Day Brunch and Dinner. Finally, Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel will offer a Brunch and Dinner as well. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/04/20/full-list-of-mothers-day-snacks-available-in-disney-world-disneyland/ A new kiosk has been erected outside of the Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney. The appearance of this kiosk is perfect timing for the upcoming May the 4th celebration. Additional merchandise will probably be sold at this location for the event. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/04/new-kiosk-erected-outside-star-wars-trading-post-in-downtown-disney-district/ The culinary experts of the Disneyland Resort have done it again! The lobby of the Grand Californian is now the home to a massive edible model of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. The display is made from Rice Krispy Treats and painstakingly painted by the food artisans. The spires of Black Spire Outpost are featured heavily, along with a large model of the Millennium Falcon. – https://fb.watch/cDMVS7ugZY/ Guests from a galaxy far. far away who have tickets for Star Wars Nite coming up can start their meal planning now. Some of the food items have already made it onto the Disneyland mobile app. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ Weeklyteers who might want to own a piece of Disneyland or the Walt Disney Studios history should check out the next Van Eaton Galleries Auction. The auction will feature over 900 artifacts from the company and park. Specific items include original production background from the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon “Ozzy of the Mounted,” the original artwork for a 1932 Mickey Mouse comic strip, a Gustaf Tenggren layout drawing for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, an original Walt Disney Studios animator's desk, original Mary Blair concept paintings, rare animator's maquettes, Walt Disney autographs, and much more. – https://vegalleries.com/historicjourney Visitors to the Disneyland Resort are no longer required to wear mask in most situations. Guests using First Aid, for example, will still need to wear a mask. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/04/24/news-mask-requirements-changed-for-disneyland-transportation/ There has been a lot of confusion and talk around the internet about the renew-ability of the Magic Keys. It all started with a single post online that stated that Disneyland would not allow renewal of their Dream Key. It is a lot more nuanced than that. At this point, we are still a couple of months away from the vast majority of people renewing their keys in July, since passes can be renewed 45 days before expiration. Disneyland does not seem to have made a decision on what they are going to do with renewals since the top two tiers of Magic Keys are currently sold out. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ Discussion Topic: Sarah M – How Disneyland Changed my Life Mom Video – https://youtu.be/Z0WVYadfAj8 Teresa's Yoga App – Apple Store – https://apps.apple.com/us/app/yoga-for-beginners-mind-body/id1382141225

Shannon and Pete discuss the end of Remy's virtual queue, physical DVC cards discontinued, queue introduced to manage DVC site traffic, Riviera and Aulani price increases, Disneyland's Magic Key lawsuit, and more entertainment to return to WDW. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure to end Virtual Queue Disney announced that on January 10th, they will suspend use of the virtual queue at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. This means there will be only two options for riding, standby queue, or the individual paid lightning lane. It is expected that standby waits will be significant. Source: Disney Parks Blog DVC Blue Cards discontinued - now use “Magic Mobile” for your DVC card DVC had previously announced that the physical “Blue Card” was going to be suspended on January 1, 2022. Now we know the replacement is through the My Disney Experience App, and using Magic Mobile. MagicMobile was introduced in 2021 as a new feature allowing guests to use most smartphones and watches to replicate features of the MagicBand. It has now been expanded to show digital membership verification. MagicMobile is configured using the My Disney Experience app on supported smartphones. Tap on the "hamburger" button on the bottom right (three horizontal lines) and select "Disney MagicMobile." Tap "Set Up Your Pass" and use the "Change Pass Style" button to select one of the available card designs. (You do NOT need to select the DVC design for it to register you as a DVC member.) After selecting a design, tap on the "Add to Wallet" button to create the digital pass within the smartphone's Apple or Android wallet. This electronic card will show any affiliation including Annual Passes and DVC. Source: My DIsney Experience App DVC Webpage Using Virtual Queue For Login The DVC members-only website has recently added a queuing system to control the volume of traffic. When the virtual queue is in place, visitors will not be able to immediately log in. Instead, they will be presented with the following message: Due to high demand on the Member website, you are currently waiting to visit disneyvacationclub.com. If your need is not urgent, we recommend that you try again at a later time. If you wish to remain in the queue, please do not refresh this page or close your browser and you'll be redirected shortly. Thank you for your patience. This queuing process could present issues for members looking to make reservations early in the morning when the 11 or 7 month booking windows come into play. Reservations open daily at 8:00am eastern, with some resorts and room types filling within minutes, in accordance with high member demand. Several recent late-morning login attempts saw our access delayed by approximately 60 seconds. The change comes as 11-month reservations are being accepted for popular dates in the fall of 2022, with Thanksgiving and Christmas periods rapidly approaching. Source: DVC News Riviera, Aulani Set For Price Increase In Early 2022 On February 3, 2022, the price for Disney's Riviera Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas will rise to $207 each. This represents an increase of $6 per point from the current $201 each. These price increases come as Disney Vacation Club prepares to relaunch sales of the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. 200 additional Resort Studio rooms are scheduled to be added in the summer of 2022. Points charts were recently revealed for both 2022 and 2023. Sales are expected to begin sometime in the first quarter of 2022. No details have been released regarding pricing or promotions for additional Grand Floridian points. Source: DVC News Lawsuit filed by Disneyland's Magic Key Holders; Disney responds The lawsuit filed on behalf of other Dream Key holders alleges that limiting the number of park pass reservations available for Dream Keys — which were advertised as having “no blockout dates” — when passes for regular tickets are still available is a violation of the program's contract as well as false advertising. More than 3,600 Dream Keys were sold. In total, the lawsuit includes six causes of action, including violations of the consumers' legal remedies act, violations of the false advertising law, violations of the unfair competition law, breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation, and concealment/non-disclosure. Disney has filed a notice of removal, which takes the case from state court to a United States District Court. News: A holiday tradition is returning to the parks next week! The famous Disneyland Resort candy canes will be on sale again at the Candy Palace And Candy Kitchen on Main Street December 7th, 9th, 15th, 21st, and 23rd. Over at Disney California Adventure, they will be on sale December 8th, 14th, 16th, and 22nd at Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street. A mobile waitlist system will be in place to get one of these confections, and there is a limit of 1 per guest, with no discounts accepted. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/11/foodie-guide-to-holiday-candy-at-disneyland-resort/ The Candlelight Processional will again take place at Disneyland, after not being opened last year. There are two nights, with four total performances on December 4th and 5th at 5:30pm and 7:45pm. If you are not a member of the media, a Club 33 member, or an invited guest, your best bet to see the performance will be for the second performance each night as the limited seating area is cleared in-between performances. – https://www.micechat.com/308957-disneyland-update-candy-canes-candlelight-holiday-surprise/ The hotels of the Disneyland Resort have finished their holiday transformations this year. Some of the things that guests can experience include an under the sea themed Christmas tree at the Paradise Pier Hotel, a vintage-inspired mural at the Disneyland Hotel, and, of course the massive tree, with ornaments inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement of California at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. In addition, the gingerbread house at the Grand Californian is a site to behold, with treats for sale nearby. Santa Claus will be at each of the hotels from November 25th through December 24th, with handbell carolers at the Grand Californian now through January 9th, and holiday carolers strolling between the Disneyland Hotel and the Paradise Pier Hotel December 15th through the 25th. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/11/the-holidays-are-magical-at-the-hotels-of-the-disneyland-resort/ We talked about it's a small world's problems that came from flooding of the attraction just prior to it reopening for the holiday season. No official updates, but MiceChat reports that people are working around the clock to get the attraction open as soon as possible. The Disneyland calendar continues to push the “refurbishment” listed out one day at a time, hoping for a miracle. Our sources indicate that a miracle is what it will take to get it opened before the end of the holiday season. – https://www.micechat.com/308957-disneyland-update-candy-canes-candlelight-holiday-surprise/ Avengers Campus has been terrific in how often different Avengers and other Marvel characters cycle into and out of the new land. This time, Hawkeye and Kate Bishop from the new Disney+ series Hawkeye will be battling the Tracksuit Mafia, then taking part in meet and greets with guests. The battle will take place on select days on the rooftop of Avengers Headquarters. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/11/24/catch-hawkeye-defending-avengers-campus-in-disney-california-adventure/ Splash Mountain is going down for refurbishment starting on January 10th. Some online think that this will begin the changeover to The Princess and the Frog theme that is coming sometime in the future. Since there has not been any word from Disney on this, we are going to assume that this is the annual maintenance for the attraction, just like Grizzly River Run each winter at the resort. If anything changes, or gets announced, we will let you know! – https://www.micechat.com/262305-breaking-news-splash-mountain-to-become-princess-and-the-frog-themed/ and https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/11/30/news-2-popular-rides-will-temporarily-close-soon-in-disneyland/ For guests wanting to upgrade to a Magic Key, the options are getting less and less. Last week, we reported on the Dream Key being sold out, and now the Believe Key has also sold out. The only keys left are the Enchant Key, and the SoCal only Imagine Key. This follows Annual Pass sales being suspended in Walt Disney World to help control the level of crowds in the parks. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/11/24/news-another-disneyland-resort-magic-key-pass-has-sold-out/ Amazon and Disney have partnered together to offer Alexa services to hotel guests in Disney World and next year at Disneyland. Current Amazon smart device owners can ask their devices to “launch Avengers Campus recruitment” to be taken on an interactive audio tour of Avengers Campus. It is a fun addition to the smart device and can be used to get your family excited for the next trip! – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/11/28/take-a-tour-of-disneys-avengers-campus-from-home-with-amazon-alexa/ The union negotiations and another vote is on the horizon for the cast members at Disneyland. Since cast members at DCA have already voted to approve the contract, only Disneyland Park cast members are holding another vote to decide of they will strike or not. They need a 75% vote to strike, and only 60% voted down the contract, so there is still a ways to go. The vote takes place on December 3rd to decide to accept the contract, or to strike. MiceChat recommends travel insurance if you are going to Disneyland in December or January, as a strike would likely shutdown the resort. – https://www.micechat.com/308957-disneyland-update-candy-canes-candlelight-holiday-surprise/ Discussion Topic: Stephanie F – Social Clubs at Disneyland SoCal Funseekers – Disney Movie Meets and other events https://www.facebook.com/groups/899875317467577 Disneyana Fan Club https://disneyanafanclub.weebly.com/ Disneyland Alumni Club https://www.disneylandalumni.org/ MiceChat.com https://www.micechat.com/

Episode N059 News Stories Disneyland Raises Ticket and Parking Prices Lead: Vicky Parking and ticket prices have increased at Disneyland and California Adventure, with 1-day, multi-day, and Park Hopper costs now up to 8% higher. This October 2021 price increase is the first since February 2020. Single Day & Park - Range from $104 to $164 with Tier 1 remaining unchanged, the other tiers increasing $5-10, and a new Tier 6 for the busiest of days. Single-day hopper tickets increased by a similar amount, with multi-day tickets increasing from $20 to $25 each. One day hopper top tier is $224; before COVID, Vicky paid $209, and a few months before that, it was $199. Disneyland has also increased parking prices across all levels Theme Parks – $30 (previously $25) Hotel Self Park – $40 (previously $25) Hotel Oversized Self Park – $45 (previously $30) Hotel Valet – $50 (previously $35) Source: Disney Tourist Blog Disneyland to bring back Trams in 2022 Disneyland announced this week that it would resume tram service between its parking structures and the theme parks. The trams have been sidelined since parks closed for the pandemic back in March 2020. Disney has not revealed a start date for the trams' return, but insiders note that the target is sometime early next year. Disneyland's trams run between the security check that serves the Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals parking structure and Downtown Disney, dropping guests steps away from the entrances to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Source: Theme Park Insider Disneyland Dream Key now sold out Disneyland Resort's Top Tier in the new Annual Pass program, called the Dream Key, is sold out. Appearing for sale in August 2021, the Dream Key supply only took about two months to vanish.  Sales prices were $1399 and the only pass with free parking - Believe Key is 50% parking. Disneyland enthusiasts can still purchase the other three tiers of Annual Pass to the Disneyland Resort - Believe ($949), Enchant ($649), Imagine (Socal only $399). Source: Inside The Magic DVC 2021 Property tax appraisals drop significantly, resulting in likely refunds to owners Lead: Pete The Disney Vacation Club resorts at Walt Disney World have received their property tax notices for 2021.  Tax rates have gone up for 2021, but property appraisals are significantly lower than the year before.  The net effect is that the tax bills for 2021 are lower than estimated when DVC approved budgets in December 2020. The Orange County Property Appraiser reduced the appraisals for nine fully declared resorts by exactly 15%.  The only fully declared resort that did not have its value reduced by 15% was Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Resort; its appraisal was lowered by only 13.7%.  Riviera saw its value increase by 29.2%.  These are the lowest appraisal rates in many years.  How does this affect DVC members? Since members have already pre-paid the 2021 taxes in this year's dues, a lower assessment means members should see a credit against their 2022 dues. This credit will range from 17 cents per point for OKW owners, to 28 cents per point for the Poly Villas, with Copper Creek seeing a 54 cent credit.
