Disturbing details emerged indicating that a report compiled by the US Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) on the assassination of former Police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi, has gone missing, New Vision has learnt. This came to the fore after security agencies re-opened investigations into the murder. In this episode, we continue the “State of the Mafia (1967)” series. If you haven't already, I highly encourage you to go back and watch ‘The State of the Mafia: Part One' “The rules that hold us together” as it will be a very good primer for this episode's content. I'm calling this show ‘The State of the Mafia (1967): Part Two' “Life or Death Obligations.” Like the first part of this series, this report will jump around a lot, but in the end I think you'll still enjoy it, and hopefully it teaches you “a couple of three things.” Okay, so let's reset the stage here.  This 1967 FBI report, which we began to cover in Part One (again, go watch or listen to it first if you haven't), is a veritable gold-mine of information. The aim at the time of creation was focused on providing an overall picture of LCN membership and activities throughout the United States as things stood in 1967. The report was declassified in 1996. The originator of the report was a man named Robert G. O'Neil, and the report itself was submitted to the FBI Director at the time, one J. Edgar Hoover. Sometimes in the course of historical research, you just find things that are simply too good not to share. In this case, I found this report by accident, got to reading it, and was very much enthralled by it. Scammers stole more than $3.4 billion from older Americans last year, according to an FBI report that shows a rise in losses through increasingly sophisticated criminal tactics to trick the vulnerable into giving up their life savings. Losses from scams reported by Americans over the age of 60 last year were up 11% over the year before, according to the FBI's report. Investigators are warning of a rise in brazen schemes to drain bank accounts that involve sending couriers in person to collect cash or gold from victims. “It can be a devastating impact to older Americans who lack the ability to go out and make money,” said Deputy Assistant Director James Barnacle of the FBI's Criminal Investigative Division. “People lose all their money. Some people become destitute.” The FBI received more than 100,000 complaints by victims of scams over the age of 60 last year, with nearly 6,000 people losing more than $100,000. It follows a sharp rise in reported losses by older Americans in the two years after the 2020 coronavirus pandemic when people were stuck at home and were easier for scammers to reach over the phone. Barnacle said investigators are seeing organized, transnational criminal enterprises targeting older Americans through a variety of schemes, like romance scams and investment frauds. The most commonly reported fraud among older adults last year was tech support scams, in which criminals pose over the phone as technical or customer service representatives. In one such scam authorities say is rising in popularity, criminals impersonate technology, banking and government officials to convince victims that foreign hackers have infiltrated their bank accounts and instruct them that to protect their money they should move it to a new account—one secretly controlled by the scammers. Federal investigators saw an uptick between May and December of scammers using live couriers to take money from victims duped into believing their accounts had been compromised, according to the FBI. In those cases, scammers tell victims that their bank accounts have been hacked and that they need to liquidate their assets into cash or buy gold or other precious metals to protect their funds. Actor Alec Baldwin has been indicted again, charged with involuntary manslaughter by New Mexico prosecutors in the death cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The shooting on set during the production of the film, "Rust."  Baldwin was allegedly four feet from the crew on set in a mock church pew when he used his right hand to reach across his body to grab the gun holstered on his left side.  He was reportedly aiming the gun toward cinematographer Halyna Hutchins when he drew back the hammer and released it. The bullet first went through director Joel Souza's shoulder before striking Hutchins in the chest, killing her. Ever since the shooting death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust, Alec Baldwin has claimed he didn't pull the trigger. Even after an FBI report contradicting Baldwin's account of the shooting saying the trigger had to have been pulled for the gun to fire, Baldwin still says he didn't pull the trigger. The FBI report says their testing proves the gun could not be made to fire without the pull of the trigger.   Accidental discharge testing determined that the firearm used in the shooting -- a .45 Colt single-action revolver -- could not have fired without the trigger being pulled. The FBI Report also says,  With the hammer in the quarter- and half-cock and fully cocked positions, the gun "could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger. Alec Baldwin says he didn't pull the trigger  The armorer for the film Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was also charged and she has been convicted and sentenced on manslaughter charges. In recorded Jailhouse phone calls Gutierrez-Reed  blasts the jurors calling them "idiots" and "A-Holes".   Prosecutors say the jailhouse recordings show how she really is outside of court. FBI lead Trump–Russia investigator Peter Strzok has a habit of showing up at all the key moments in all the key places carrying out his mischief. We already knew that Strzok was the lead Hillary Clinton email investigator and the lead Trump–Russia investigator. We also knew that he was instrumental in taking down General Michael Flynn just a few days into the Trump administration in January 2017. For that, he spent months editing the FBI's 302 report, which is the official record of the Flynn interview. Well, it now turns out that Strzok was also entangled with the FBI's 302 report that memorialized what an Australian diplomat allegedly told the FBI that caused the Trump–Russia investigation to be opened in the first place.
