Following New South Wales' stunning come-from-behind victory over Queensland in State of Origin I, Laurie Daley joins Andrew Moore, Michael Carayannis and Luke Lewis on NRL Saturday to discuss what he was feeling during the match and the Blues' remarkable comeback. Daley also weighs in on who is most likely to replace Blayke Brailey after the Cronulla hooker suffered a broken arm in the Sharks' win over Manly on Friday night. Later in the program, Brailey's coach, Craig Fitzgibbon, joins the team to discuss the challenge of replacing such an important player and reflects on Brailey's toughness and resilience. Plus, MC's Hammertime returns, and the panel debates just how significant Andrew Abdo's departure will be for the NRL.

On the build up to the Men's State of Origin it was great to jump inside both camps. Maroons debutant Jojo Fifita wasn't expecting to made the squad - so much so that when Queensland coach Billy Slate called he thought it could have been a scam! Andrew Moore, Luke Lewis and Michael Carayannis were joined by Penrith's Scott Sorensen through the afternoon and they discussed the sad news of Jai Arrow's Motor Neurone diagnosis and how Sorensen's future club the Perth Bears are shaping up. Maroons Origin Legend Dallas Johnson talked about his 1st State of Origin series which was 20 years ago and another current player - the Blues Hudson Young - shone a light on Laurie Daley's messaging and who's in control of the music in the NSW Camp.
There's something refreshing about watching a quarterback bet on loyalty in an era built on movement. That's what stood out most to me after sitting down with Noah Fifita on the latest episode of Y-Option: College Football with Yogi Roth, fueled by our founding sponsor 76 — keeping you on the GO GO GO so you never miss a beat.Noah has become one of the defining faces of modern college football, not because he chased the spotlight, but because he stayed put long enough for the spotlight to find him.Join THE HONOR ROLL campaign. Free Newsletter + Fun Gifts. In today's game, quarterbacks transfer. Rosters flip overnight. Coaches leave. Expectations shift weekly. Yet here sits Fifita entering his final season at Arizona as one of only 5 senior starting quarterbacks still playing for the same school they originally signed with. And the wild part? That loyalty isn't performative. It's personal. You can feel it when he talks about Tucson, his teammates, his family and especially his grandparents — whose sacrifices created the foundation for the life he's now living. The humility is real. So is the conviction. That combination is what makes him fascinating. While Noah carries himself with gratitude, there's also a very real edge underneath it all. He believes Arizona can do something the program has never done before. He believes this team can compete for a conference title. He believes they belong in the Rose Bowl conversation. And yes — he believes he belongs in the Heisman conversation too.Not in an ego-driven way. In a competitor's way. That distinction matters. The best quarterbacks I've been around often carry two seemingly opposite traits at the same time: humility and unshakable belief. Noah lives in both spaces comfortably. He speaks like someone grounded by family, faith and service, while simultaneously preparing like someone who expects to walk onto the field as the best player every Saturday. That's rare. And honestly, it's part of why this upcoming season feels so compelling for Arizona football.Noah isn't trying to become “the guy who stayed.”He's trying to become the quarterback who won. That mindset changes everything. After talking with him, I walked away thinking less about statistics and more about legacy. About what it means for a player to choose development over escape routes. About what happens when belief inside a locker room becomes stronger than outside noise.Arizona enters this season with expectations, but also with a quarterback whose story feels bigger than wins and losses. He's dynamic enough to put up massive numbers.Tough enough to carry a program.Grounded enough to lead it.And if Arizona takes the leap many believe they're capable of making this fall, don't be surprised if the rest of the country starts talking about Noah Fifita the way Tucson already does. Not simply as a great college quarterback. But as a legitimate Heisman contender.Much love and stay steady,YogiY-Option: College Football with Yogi Roth is a reader-supported publication. In this episode, SC Mattrix reveals his team for NRL SuperCoach 2026, breaking down a build that leans heavily into proven guns, premium scoring, and reliable roles. We walk through why he's comfortable paying up in key positions, how this structure prioritises consistency, and where the value sits around the edges. This team focuses on minimising risk, locking in high floors, and backing players with strong roles and scoring history. We discuss where this approach can give you stability early, where it might limit flexibility, and how it compares to the more POD-heavy builds from the other hosts. This episode is part of The Seven Tackle Set, the NRL SuperCoach podcast from SuperCoach Insight, formerly Insight Fantasy Sports.Check out the other shows from the pre-season: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1cFHlQFzCbxZL8bSACsca6S5ty-6Y11A&si=BT0gM1j82wbB2xbOJoin our FREE discord here: https://discord.gg/6fDXWnBHMCGet your FREE consult with Ryan from Astute Newstead: https://tally.so/r/n005AQHostsSC BrainInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/braintalksball/Twitter: https://x.com/BrainTalksBallSC WhispererInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/scwhisperer/Twitter: https://x.com/SCWhispererSC MattrixInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/sc_mattrix/Twitter: https://x.com/SC_MattrixSeven Tackle SetInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/seventacklesetnrl/Twitter: https://x.com/7TackleSetNRLPatreonIf you want the full experience and actual weekly edges, our Patreon is where everything lives.Exclusive podcasts and articles, weekly team reveals and trades, subscriber Q&A, consensus position rankings, premium Discord access, and direct 1-1 access to the hosts.Join here: https://www.patreon.com/12428569/joinChapters00:00 Matrix Team Reveal Begins: The “De Groot” question returns00:33 Has the team changed since Team Picker, and who's the Titans Winger tease01:35 Like it or hate it: rate Mattrix's team in the comments02:15 Hooker call: why Simkin over Mahoney and the Grant dilemma03:24 “Cheese” at basement price: do we even need to talk about it03:55 Paying up at FRF: Paseka as the safety pick and why the strategy changed05:23 Whisperer's critique: is the FRF spend a trap, and where's the cash better used06:51 What actually changed since the last reveal, and the McInnes impact08:29 2RF build: Fifita locked, Propgood hype, and the cheapie shuffle10:17 Braino's 2RF market: forgotten guns under 10 percent owned11:49 Spicy part incoming: outside backs, structure, and the big decisions13:01 Halves setup: Cleary captain, Moses value, and punting 5/8 to load up elsewhere16:40 Centre/Wing structure: guns vs cheapies, bye cover, and why it matters19:10 Fullbacks: Drinky VC safety, Cleary Round 1 ceiling, and Kini as the slam dunk21:44 Final verdict: it's all structure now, not player quality22:09 Wrap-up and travel yarn: Suns game, Scottsdale, Vegas and Magic Johnson24:13 What's coming next: guests, trials daily, draft week, and Patreon extrasFind our socials, sponsors, all our shows, join our community and become a subscriber here: https://linktr.ee/InsightFantasySports Hosted on Acast. Chris and Ethan break down this Week 12 DraftKings main slate with a positional breakdown of this week's action.
It's chaos as always as the rugby logo moidia dishes up the same number of shoddy headlines, only with less personnel on the tools. Our heroes call into question some of the analytical reads read out by B. Read to millions of mainstream readers. Short version: they stink.Assistant coaches are moving and shaking, rugby league is trying to dine out on the English Super League, as the English team deals with the apparent anxiety and stress of what their own coach described poor buildup to a first test fizzle. As one coach spouts the doldrums, across hemispheres another takes a Fifita sized gamble at the Rabbitohs offer a lifeline to the much maligned Lou Ferrigno doppleganger. The wallabies need serious work and international windows are seemingly sealed against Australian prosperity. Bring them all in whenever they're available says we. And we can deal with a crash back to earth from our usually all conquering women's cricket team. A World Cup semi final defeat with 338 on the board batting first doesn't impact the belief this team remains our country's best across all codes and comers. Besides, winning in front of a packed Indian home crowd is a treacherous prospect. Spare a thought for the 2 NRL teams who might just end up playing a season opener there if Peter ‘Napoleon' Vlandys gets his way. Life is for staring down 10 year bans, seeking releases, Pappling, and Grappling.Declare it to be dug, It shalt be dugeth Because life will always be a grapple
Star fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen has walked out on a $1 million deal with the Melbourne Storm — but did the club quietly tip off Tino Fa’asuamaleaui that salary-cap space was opening up? Meanwhile, if Jonah Pezet’s Broncos gamble backfires, he could end up back at Parramatta And down south, David Fifita might just be the buy of the season for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

BYU football takes on the Arizona Wildcats this Saturday night in Tucson, Arizona. The Cougars enter the game at 5-0 and 2-0 in Big 12 play and are ranked No. 18 in the AP Top 25 poll. Arizona is 4-1 and 1-1 in Big 12 play. The two teams have quarterbacks who have been playing at a high level this season in Bear Bachmeier and Noah Fifita. Fifita grew up a Utah Utes fan and wasn't a fan of BYU, but he has a lot of respect for BYU football head coach Kalani Sitake. KSL Sports BYU Insider Mitch Harper discussed the importance of the two quarterbacks in this matchup. An interview with BYU running back LJ Martin, who is one of the top running backs in the Big 12 Conference this season. After a disastrous 2024 season, Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita will look to rebound. With new offensive coordinator Seth Doege, Fifita will likely be featured in a more natural role for him. An uptempo offense with speed and size at receiver. The Arizona quarterback showed flashes of being one of the top talents in the country in 2023 under coach Jedd Fisch. In year 1 under coach Brent Brennan and offensive coordinator Dino Babers, Fifita looked like a totally different player, in all the wrong ways. As a result of last season, has Noah Fifita become one of the most underrated players in the Big 12 conference? PLUS!
