Thank God Uncle Ben isn't alive to see the PC port of Marvel's Spider Man 2 because it's a hot mess! Speaking of hot mess, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth seems to have fixed there's! Then we answer a voicemail from a viewer about AI in video games! The release of Spider-Man 2 on PC was supposed to be a triumphant moment for Sony, but instead, it quickly became a cautionary tale about the state of modern AAA game launches. Players reported severe optimization issues, crashes, and performance instability, even on top-tier gaming rigs. Reviews flooded in, with many calling the game unplayable, while others acknowledged its potential but urged gamers to wait for patches. Comparisons were drawn to The Last of Us Part Two's troubled PC release, reinforcing a trend where major studios rush out unfinished products, relying on post-launch fixes instead of delivering a polished experience from the start. While Spider-Man 2 struggles, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth serves as a counterexample of how rapid post-launch support can turn things around. Initially plagued with performance issues, the game received a major patch within two weeks that drastically improved optimization. This led to a broader discussion on whether investors and publishers are pushing developers to release games prematurely. With titles demanding $70 upfront, players are frustrated that they're often paying for an unfinished product, essentially funding a beta test disguised as a full release. While studios may argue that hardware variability makes perfect optimization difficult, the frequency of these issues suggests deeper systemic problems within the industry. Beyond performance woes, the conversation touched on the increasing role of AI in gaming, particularly in NPC dialogue, procedural content generation, and competitive balancing. AI-powered tools like DLSS are already shaping the way games run, but there are also concerns about AI replacing human developers, artists, and designers. While AI can enhance game development by automating repetitive tasks, optimizing performance, and improving accessibility, its rapid adoption also raises ethical concerns—particularly when it comes to job security and the potential decline of handcrafted artistry. As gaming continues to evolve, the balance between AI-driven efficiency and human creativity will be a defining challenge for the industry.

They immediately recognize the vastness of the topic, agreeing that it could easily span multiple episodes. AI's influence isn't just limited to game development—it's becoming a part of everyday life, from phone algorithms to even traffic lights. The discussion touches on how AI is already embedded in gaming in ways people might not expect, shaping both development processes and gameplay experiences. Nick playfully warns against the dangers of recursive AI implementation, joking about the possibility of a time bubble ripping open or a gun that fires typewriters, adding a bit of levity to the conversation. Ultimately, the hosts decide to dedicate more time to the topic in their next episode, while still covering any major news. AI's role in gaming is evolving rapidly, and they're eager to explore its implications further.

Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play hero shooter that draws inspiration from Overwatch, featuring 33 Marvel characters such as Squirrel Girl, Moon Knight, and Doctor Doom. The game offers familiar gameplay mechanics like payload delivery and point defense but introduces unique elements like destructible maps and team-up powers, where characters like Rocket Raccoon gain tactical advantages when paired with Groot. While the game shares a similar feel to Overwatch, it also adds fresh mechanics, such as interactive map elements, to keep gameplay engaging. Although there are some criticisms around tank mechanics and balancing, players get all characters upfront, and the battle pass is affordably priced at $5. The Guys expressed excitement about the game's nostalgic appeal and innovative Marvel-themed features. While acknowledging concerns like high cosmetic costs and early balancing issues, they agreed that Marvel Rivals is worth trying due to its accessible, free-to-play model and dynamic gameplay. They plan to delve deeper into the game and share more detailed impressions after further playtime, showcasing their optimism despite the few growing pains the game is experiencing. The discussion also covered rumors and speculation regarding Valve's potential new hardware, including a new VR headset and controller. Based on data mining and industry leaks, Valve seems to be ramping up its hardware initiatives, likely to capitalize on its strong presence in PC gaming through Steam. As Steam continues to break concurrent player records, fueled by major game releases, Valve's focus on expanding its hardware catalog may further strengthen its position in the market. The success of the Steam Deck and Index VR headset indicates a growing demand for portable and immersive gaming devices. Valve's potential move into dedicated gaming consoles was also explored, with leaks suggesting a new device featuring a built-in GPU, hinting at a shift from the Steam Deck model. Coupled with the development of SteamOS 3, new controllers, and third-party peripheral assets, Valve seems poised to expand beyond just software into a full-fledged hardware ecosystem. This push could position Valve as a competitive force in the console market, challenging the dominance of Sony and Microsoft with a more affordable, Steam-integrated alternative. The growing popularity of PC gaming and Valve's focus on user-friendly experiences suggest that the company could disrupt the market with a new console offering at a lower price point.

    Indy Games & System Requirements

Summary provided by summarization of the YouTube transcript, generated by ChatGPT, reviewed by Andy For the full show notes check out the blog at Video Game Tango! --- https://www.videogametango.com ---   Indiana Jones Game and High PC Requirements The guys expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming Indiana Jones game, but the discussion quickly shifted to concerns over its demanding PC specs. The game requires an Intel i7 10700K or Ryzen 5 3600, 16–32GB of RAM, and high-end GPUs like the RTX 2060 or RX 6600, even for minimum settings. For ultra settings, players would need top-tier GPUs like the RTX 4080. The high system requirements are seen as indicative of poor optimization. Comparisons were drawn to Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2, with Red Dead praised for its visuals and optimization despite being older. Frustration was voiced about the increasing trend of prioritizing hardware power over optimization.   Blizzard Updates – Warcraft and WoW Additional updates from Blizzard included news about Warcraft 1 & 2 remakes and player housing in World of Warcraft. Warcraft 1 & 2 are being remastered with higher resolutions and updated art. However, the original versions are being removed from platforms like GOG, sparking criticism. Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft would finally introduce long-requested player housing, although details are scarce. The discussion touched on GOG's legacy of successful optimization and their approach to preserving classic games for modern audiences.   Updates on AAA Gaming Bubble and Laura Frier's Commentary Laura Frier, a former executive in the gaming industry, was discussed for her YouTube videos analyzing the AAA gaming space. Her videos touch on key issues like the mismanagement of major projects, "toxic positivity", and the industry's inability to align with gamer feedback. She criticizes AAA studios for not listening to gamers and instead relying on overly positive reviews from gaming media. The conversation also delved into societal issues like backlash against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in gaming. Toxic masculinity and resistance to changes in the gaming industry were highlighted as ongoing challenges.   Ubisoft's Decline and X Defiant Cancellation The guys discussed Ubisoft's decision to discontinue development on X Defiant, a free-to-play first-person shooter, due to poor market performance and profitability concerns. Ubisoft also shut down production studios in San Francisco, Osaka, and Sydney, with layoffs affecting 150 employees. The company's ongoing struggles were attributed to over-reliance on the games-as-a-service model, which is unpopular with many gamers. Broader criticism of Ubisoft included the underwhelming performance of Star Wars Outlaws and declining investor confidence, with their stock losing half its value in 2023.   Intel's New Graphics Cards (Battle Mage Series) Intel's upcoming line of Arc graphics cards, code-named Battle Mage, was introduced as a potential disruptor in the graphics card market. The B570 and B580 models aim to compete with Nvidia's RTX 4060 at significantly lower prices. The B580 could offer a 10–40% performance boost over the RTX 4060 while being $100–$150 cheaper. These cards are targeted at the mid-tier budget market, making PC gaming more accessible. The guys expressed hope for Intel's success to increase competition in the GPU space and lower inflated prices.   Indie Game Spotlight – Gnomes A unique indie game called Gnomes was highlighted for its creative mix of gameplay styles. Gnomes is a tower-defense game with roguelike elements and strategic resource management. Players build gnome villages while defending against waves of invading goblins. The game features a modular map system, synergies between different upgrades, and quirky aesthetics. Gameplay blends elements of Lemmings (UI), Loop Hero (strategic loop mechanics), and Luck Be a Landlord (meta-progression and upgrades). The guys praised the game's demo for its balance, fun mechanics, and whimsical vibe. They encouraged players to try the free demo available on Steam and speculated on a release within the coming months.   Broader Gaming Industry Trends and Community Plans The discussion concluded with reflections on the gaming industry's struggles with innovation, reliance on PR over quality, and the need for more competition. The guys expressed nostalgia for the golden age of gaming when the market offered more diverse and polished titles. They plan to stream the PC Gaming Show on December 5th and the Game Awards on December 12th. Social games like Jackbox may be hosted during the holidays for friends and community members alike!

Arcane Season 2 is a worthy continuation of the critically acclaimed first season, though it struggles to fully match its predecessor's brilliance. Season 1, celebrated as perhaps the greatest video game adaptation ever, captivated audiences with its rich storytelling and world-building. Season 2 builds on this foundation but stumbles with its hurried pacing, an overload of new characters, and reliance on montages that dilute emotional depth and scene development. Despite these flaws, the season shines through breathtaking visuals, an even more impressive soundtrack, and deeper integrations of League of Legends lore. Longtime fans of the franchise may find this chapter even more rewarding, as it enriches the universe with polished animation and memorable moments. While Season 2 feels overshadowed by the excellence of the first, it remains a triumph of storytelling and animation, ensuring its place as a must-watch for both fans and newcomers. Citizen Sleeper is a narrative-driven sci-fi RPG that blends tabletop mechanics with a deep, emotionally engaging story. You play as an escaped android worker struggling to survive on a lawless space station while evading hunters. Inspired by tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), its gameplay revolves around time-sensitive actions and resource management, using mechanics like clocks from Blades in the Dark. Each decision carries weight, with a palpable sense of pressure as you navigate the station's challenges. The game stands out for its excellent writing, where relationships with NPCs evolve dynamically, and decisions can lead to betrayal or blackmail. The mechanics are simple, letting players focus on impactful choices while the narrative explores themes like survival in a hypercapitalist society. The aesthetic combines a retro-futuristic vibe with striking character art reminiscent of Kill Six Billion Demons. Developed by Gareth Damian Martin, Citizen Sleeper offers 6–10 hours of gameplay, with plenty of replayability. Though multiple endings are possible, the richness of each playthrough makes even a single experience deeply satisfying. A sequel is planned for release next year, building anticipation for more from this thoughtful and immersive series. The Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct celebrated the franchise's legacy with exciting updates across its games. World of Warcraft marked its 20th anniversary with new events, rewards, and expansions like The War Within and Season of Discovery. Classic players can anticipate Mists of Pandaria Classic in 2025 and nostalgic content from Cataclysm Classic. Hearthstone unveiled expansions exploring the Emerald Dream, Un'Goro Crater, and alternate-reality adventures, while Warcraft Rumble introduced “split Leaders” and announced a PC beta. Charitable efforts included the Reven Pack to support CureDuchenne. The event teased more updates, keeping fans eager for the franchise's future. Meanwhile, the Video Game Tango team expressed mixed feelings about The Game Awards. They enjoy the show's game reveals and announcements but critique the awards as often favoring popularity over merit. In their latest episode, Andy, Nick, and Josh dissect nominees for categories like Game of the Year and Best Multiplayer Game, offering insights on the awards' strengths and shortcomings. Despite criticisms, they agree the spectacle is worth watching.

Is Sony really going to give us PSVR and Ragnarok on PC? How about the last two Final Fantasy games? Why aren't more games integrating Twitch like Frostpunk 2? What's going on with Star Wars Acolyte. And what does Josh think of his first 20 levels in World of Warcraft? Exciting News for VR Enthusiasts: Sony PSVR2 PC Compatibility on the Horizon Virtual reality (VR) fans have a reason to rejoice! Sony is working towards expanding the reach of its PSVR2 (PlayStation VR2) beyond the confines of the PlayStation 5. Recent reports reveal that Sony is developing an adapter to enable PC compatibility for the PSVR2, slated for release in 2024. This move could significantly enhance the VR gaming landscape, allowing a broader audience to experience the high-quality immersive content PSVR2 promises. Sony's Ambitious Plans for PSVR2 Sony's plans to support PSVR2 on PC were highlighted in an article by Road to VR, which discusses the company's intention to integrate PSVR2 with SteamVR. This integration aims to bring the exceptional capabilities of the PSVR2 to PC gamers, making it compatible with a plethora of VR titles available on SteamVR. This initiative aligns with Sony's broader strategy to embrace cross-platform compatibility and extend the lifecycle and user base of its VR hardware . Technical Steps Towards Integration According to Twisted Voxel, Sony is actively working on an adapter that will facilitate this PC integration. This adapter is expected to bridge the technological gap between the PSVR2 and PCs, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance. The adapter will likely address issues related to tracking, input compatibility, and other technical challenges inherent in adapting console-specific hardware to PC environments . Certification Milestone Achieved Adding to the credibility of these reports, Korea has certified an adapter for PSVR2, marking a significant step towards its global availability. The certification process is a critical hurdle in bringing any new technology to market, ensuring it meets specific regulatory and safety standards. The certification in Korea indicates that Sony is on track with its development timeline and is likely to meet its planned 2024 release . What This Means for VR Gaming The introduction of PSVR2 compatibility on PC is poised to revolutionize the VR gaming experience. PC gamers will gain access to PSVR2's advanced features, such as improved resolution, better tracking, and enhanced haptic feedback, which are currently exclusive to PS5 users. This move could also stimulate the VR content ecosystem, encouraging developers to create more versatile and high-quality VR experiences that cater to both console and PC audiences. Looking Forward As we await more detailed announcements from Sony, the anticipation builds for what 2024 holds for VR enthusiasts. The integration of PSVR2 with PC could democratize access to premium VR experiences, making high-quality virtual reality more accessible than ever before. Stay tuned for further updates as we get closer to the official release. The future of VR looks incredibly promising with these exciting developments from Sony. Sources: Road to VR - Sony Plans PSVR2 PC Support via SteamVR in 2024 Twisted Voxel - Sony is Working on PSVR2 Adapter for PC Reddit - Certification Image Exciting Times for PC Gamers: God of War Ragnarok, Final Fantasy 16, and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth Coming Soon The gaming industry is buzzing with exciting news for PC gamers. Major console exclusives are making their way to the PC platform, broadening their audience and enhancing the gaming experience for many. Among the most anticipated titles are God of War Ragnarok, Final Fantasy 16, and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth. Here's a closer look at what's happening with these blockbuster games and when PC gamers can expect to get their hands on them. God of War Ragnarok: The Norse Epic Expands Its Realm Fans of the God of War series have been eagerly awaiting the PC port of God of War Ragnarok. According to a recent article from Tech4Gamers, the critically acclaimed game is set to arrive on PC soon. This follows the successful PC port of its predecessor, which opened the franchise to a wider audience and received rave reviews for its enhanced graphics and performance on PC. The upcoming release promises to deliver the same high-quality experience, with potential improvements to leverage the capabilities of high-end gaming rigs . Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth: Timed Exclusivity Nears Its End Square Enix's flagship series, Final Fantasy, is also gearing up to grace PC screens with two of its latest entries. Final Fantasy 16 has been a PlayStation 5 exclusive, but as noted by GamesHub, the game's exclusivity period is nearing its end. Naoki Yoshida, the game's producer, hinted at a PC release, though no exact date has been confirmed yet. The anticipation is high as fans expect an official announcement soon . Similarly, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth is another title that has been locked to the PlayStation 5. TheGamer reported that the exclusivity period for this highly anticipated sequel will conclude, making a PC port likely in the near future. The end date of the exclusivity has been revealed, indicating that PC players won't have to wait too long to dive back into the adventures of Cloud and his companions . Square Enix's Strategy: Accelerating PC Releases Additional evidence suggests that Square Enix is expediting the release of their major titles on PC. Rock Paper Shotgun recently highlighted that the Kingdom Hearts series is making its way to Steam in June. This move indicates a broader strategy by Square Enix to bring their popular franchises to a wider PC audience more swiftly than before . The trend of releasing major titles on PC sooner than in the past could mean that both Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth will be available to PC gamers much sooner than initially expected. Conclusion: A New Era for PC Gaming The upcoming PC ports of God of War Ragnarok, Final Fantasy 16, and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth mark a significant shift in the gaming industry. These releases not only expand the audience for these critically acclaimed titles but also demonstrate a growing recognition of the PC platform's importance. As the lines between console and PC gaming continue to blur, players can look forward to experiencing the best of both worlds. Stay tuned for official release dates and prepare your gaming rigs for these epic adventures! Sources: Tech4Gamers - God of War Ragnarok PC Port Soon GamesHub - Final Fantasy 16 PS5 Exclusive PC Release TheGamer - Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth State of Play PS5 Exclusive End Date Revealed Rock Paper Shotgun - Kingdom Hearts is Coming to Steam in June Frostpunk 2's Innovative Faction Voting Mechanic: A Game-Changer with Twitch Integration The highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed survival strategy game, Frostpunk, is set to introduce a groundbreaking new feature that could redefine how players interact with game narratives. Frostpunk 2 will incorporate a faction voting mechanic that leverages Twitch integration, creating a dynamic and interactive experience for both players and viewers. The Power of Faction Voting In a recent article by Rock Paper Shotgun, the developers of Frostpunk 2 revealed that the game's success may hinge on its innovative faction voting system. This mechanic will allow players to influence the game world through collective decision-making. As factions within the game vie for power and resources, players can cast their votes to determine the course of action. This feature promises to add a layer of complexity and engagement, as players must navigate the political landscape and the consequences of their choices. Twitch Integration: A New Era of Interaction One of the most exciting aspects of this new mechanic is its integration with Twitch. Viewers on the popular streaming platform will have the ability to participate in faction voting, effectively becoming part of the game's ecosystem. This integration will enable streamers to engage their audiences in real-time decision-making processes, blurring the lines between players and spectators. Andy, Nick, and Josh have praised this move and questioned why more game development studios haven't embraced Twitch integration. They argue that incorporating Twitch into game mechanics not only promotes the game but also fosters emergent gameplay and enhances interaction between streamers and their audiences. By involving viewers directly in the gameplay, developers can create unique and memorable experiences that drive both engagement and publicity. The Impact on Game Development Twitch integration in Frostpunk 2 could set a precedent for future game development. The ability for viewers to influence game outcomes introduces a new form of emergent gameplay, where the unpredictability of player decisions can lead to varied and unexpected storylines. This level of interactivity not only enriches the gaming experience but also provides valuable insights into player preferences and behaviors. Moreover, the promotional benefits of Twitch integration are significant. As streamers showcase the game and involve their audiences, the game's visibility and reach are exponentially increased. This organic form of marketing can attract a wider audience, generating buzz and interest long after the initial release. Looking Ahead Frostpunk 2's faction voting mechanic and Twitch integration represent a bold step forward in interactive game design. As players and viewers collaboratively shape the game's narrative, the potential for rich and diverse storytelling is immense. If successful, this approach could inspire other studios to explore similar integrations, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in gaming. The gaming community eagerly awaits Frostpunk 2's release, not just for its compelling gameplay and narrative depth, but for the innovative ways it plans to engage and connect players worldwide. As Andy, Nick, and Josh highlight, the future of gaming may very well lie in the hands of its audience, and Frostpunk 2 is poised to lead the way. Source: Rock Paper Shotgun - Frostpunk 2 Will Live or Die by Its Faction Voting Mechanic, and the Biggest Faction of All is Twitch The Reluctant Hero:  In the world of Azeroth, a land plagued by ceaseless conflicts and ancient evils, a group of legendary adventurers had risen to stand against the darkness. For many years, this band of heroes battled dragons, demons, old gods, a lich king, and the massive armies of The Alliance. Their deeds were sung in taverns and their names revered across the land. Yet, among them was one holdout—a heroic figure named Josh who refused to join the fight. Josh was a renowned Mage of immense power, known for his mastery over the arcane and his profound wisdom. Despite his talents, he chose a life of solitude, shunning the battlefield and the glory that came with it. His reasons were his own, and no one could persuade him to take up arms, not even his closest friend, Andy. Andy was the heart of the group, a tireless and relentless fighter who never backed down from a challenge. Over the years, he watched as comrades fell and retired, but he remained steadfast. While the other heroes hung up their swords and spells, Andy continued to defend Azeroth with unwavering determination. He never stopped believing in Josh, always hoping that one day, his friend would join the cause. Years turned into decades, and the land saw many victories. Yet, the shadow of evil never truly vanished. Despite the triumphs, a new threat always seemed to emerge, testing the resolve of Azeroth's defenders. Andy, now older and battle-worn, still carried the torch for his fellow heroes. But with each passing year, he felt the weight of his solitary struggle grow heavier. Twenty long years had passed since the first great battle, and Andy found himself standing alone against the rising tide of darkness. One evening, as he sharpened his blade by the fire, a familiar figure approached from the shadows. It was Josh, his old friend, and the sight of him filled Andy with both surprise and hope. "I've seen enough, Andy," Josh said, his voice steady but resolute. "The time has come for me to fight." Andy's heart soared. He had waited for this moment for so long, and now, his patience and persistence had paid off. Without hesitation, he clasped Josh's hand, a silent agreement passing between them. Together, they would face whatever evil threatened their world. The news of Josh joining the fight spread like wildfire. The two heroes, one a stalwart veteran and the other a long-awaited ally, became the beacon of hope for all who fought against the darkness. Their combined strength and unbreakable bond inspired others to take up arms, rekindling the spirit of the old days. In the battles that followed, Andy and Josh proved to be an unstoppable force. They faced dragons whose fiery breath scorched the earth, demons from the deepest pits of the nether, and old gods with powers that could warp reality itself. Each time, they emerged victorious, their synergy and trust in one another shining through. The armies of The Alliance, a constant thorn in their side, fell before their combined might. With every victory, the legend of Andy and Josh grew, their names becoming synonymous with heroism and perseverance. They conquered every foe, their unity unbreakable even in the face of the unknown future. Though the road ahead was uncertain, Andy and Josh were ready to face it together. They knew that as long as they stood side by side, no darkness could overshadow the light they brought to Azeroth. The world had found its champions once more, and the legacy of their friendship would endure through the ages, a testament to the power of hope and the unwavering spirit of true heroes. Josh has joined World of Warcraft.

We aren't holding our breath on that last one, but here's the trailer which contains Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage! Hideo Kojima has announced a new multi-media/new media horror project he's been cooking up with genre enthusiast Jordan Peele! Sony Santa Monica hit us over the head with a brand new DLC, free to owners of the game! This one is called God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla. More God of War is always good God of War isn't it? Jump in now, free on your platform of choice! A link to the Steam version is here. From the creators of the humble smash hit Untitled Goose Game, comes a new game Big Walk. House House describes the game as a “Cooperative Online Walker-Talker” Set out with your friends through a wide-open world full of challenges, puzzles, and discoveries. You'll need to work together to find your way around, stay in contact using an assortment of tools and toys, and figure out new ways to communicate when you suddenly find yourself speechless. Adventuring aside, there's plenty of time to just hang out. Sit and watch the sunset, or steal your friend's binoculars and kick them into the ocean. Spending time with friends is the best part of a big walk. A link to the Steam version is here. Lightspeed Studios showed off their project LAST SENTINEL. Set in dystopian Tokyo, this is an open-world action game with a seriously cool trailer. While we don't know much about the game, and haven't seen any gameplay, the trailer sure does look good! What would any game show be without a few Warhammer 40k games? How about the long-awaited Space Marine 2? The game looks awesome from what we've seen so far, and if the first game is any indicator, we'll be romping around in powersuits draining the blood of our foes in religious fervor come Sept, 9th 2024!  Mecha Break is another in a series of new mech games we've been seeing lately. It looks faster-paced than Armored Core IV: Fires of Rubicon, and may be exactly what some mecha lovers need! There was plenty more shown at The Game Awards this year! If you weren't able to catch it live, and would like to see the whole show in it's entirety it's available here! Happy gaming everyone! #thegameawards #tga2023 #gameoftheyear

It takes place in Hahantu, an area from Diablo 2, and continues Mephisto's story. Vessel of Hatred is poised to launch Fall 2024 Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHuaCwmx-Rg Overwatch 2: Blizzard announced a new hero Mauga who is the first Samoan hero to debut in Overwatch! Mauga features a kit that is designed to bash through the front lines and brawl his opponents in close-quarter combat, by wielding two powerful Chainguns that can either be fired individually or in unison. Ignite enemies with his Incendiary Chaingun “Gunny” to burn them when they take enough damage, then finish them with a critical hit from his Volatile Chaingun “Cha-Cha.” Paired with his Berserker Passive, which grants Mauga temporary health whenever he deals critical damage, he's a mountain on the battlefield. Mauga's not just a leading star—he also brings a host of new abilities to support his team as well. Mauga can break his way through the front lines with Overrun, a charging ability that cannot be stopped by any crowd control abilities, and stomps into opponents dealing a powerful knockback. When the fight gets intense for his team, he has Cardiac Overdrive to engage both of his hearts and create an aura that reduces incoming damage, allowing allies to heal themselves while dealing damage. Finally, when he really wants to tango up close with his foes, Mauga can unleash Cage Fight, his ultimate ability. Cage Fight traps nearby opponents in a cylindrical fighting ring. This barrier blocks enemy incoming damage or healing from the outside, forcing those trapped inside to face Mauga with Gunny, Cha Cha, and the barrage of infinite ammunition. If you can't take him down quickly, the last thing you might see is his charming smile. Mauga will officially become available to play at the start of season 8 which starts 12/5/2023 Mauga Origin Story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCLjZDkpBoY Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQfRHycUsmQ Hearthstone: Showdown in the Badlands: Deep in the heart of the Badlands, the Bloodrock Mining Company has struck gold! These runes will alter spells, or grant new abilities that allow classes to do things they haven't before, or to augment their current abilities and spells to do something entirely different! Starting with the subterranean expansion The War Within, which takes us deeper into Azeroth than ever before! This expansion includes new zones Azj-kahet, Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, and Hallowfall, new dungeons, raids, a new battleground, and a new Allied race playable to both the Alliance and the Horde: The Earthen Dwarves. Along with the new zones to explore, it also comes with all new Hero Talents, which is a separate talent system, and a new treasure hunting activity called Delves, which can be played both solo and with a group to acquire new items and gear. Similar to dungeons, Delves will often contain formidable foes, but unlike dungeons, they will also contain puzzles of varying difficulty, and possibly more that has not been announced. And to wrap it all up, a new feature known as War Bands has also been announced. War Bands share a bank, reputation gains and more! The Worldsoul Saga also has 2 additional expansions titled Midnight, and The Last Titan respectively. Not much was announced about these two expansions, other than the World of Warcraft team is dedicated to bringing out all 3 of these expansions in a much quicker cadence than we've seen expansion launches in the past. This isn't too surprising though, as Final Fantasy 14 has done this in the past, and if Blizzard is good at anything, it's copying good ideas.
