When Zak Bellante of Death Comes Lifting made an appearance on A-SIDES in Spring '24, he mentioned his love for Rob Zombie and especially the 2010 Halloween Hootenanny tour. This time Zak returned for a follow-up into the music and movies of Rob Zombie, sharing favorite albums and songs, the revolving door of band members that shaped Zombie's records, t-shirts and merchandise, and even Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Huge thanks to Zak for being a guest on Episode 174 of A-SIDES. You can find his horror brand of lifestyle and fitness at deathcomeslifting.com and join an e-class or buy a shirt! Of course, Rob Zombie's music is streaming wherever you get your music! Find Rob online at his website for tour dates and more. Thanks for listening!

Clint Mephisto's Shit Kickin’ Road Show Episode 281, week of October 31st. it’s the Shit Kickin’ Halloween! Sit a spell as your ol’ drankin’ buddy rustles up a special brew of Holiday themed jingles from The Reverend Horton Heat, Kip Tyler, Rezurex, Buck Owens, Ghoultown, The Coffinshakers and more!
MONSTER PARTY TRICKS YOU INTO TREATING YOURSELF! JAMES GONIS, SHAWN SHERIDAN, LARRY STROTHE, and MATT WEINHOLD, don their audio costumes and virtually visit your homes to inflict excitement, consternation, and mayhem! It's the time of year for our favorite holiday, and that's why we're throwing... THE MONSTER PARTY HALLOWEEN HOOTENANNY! Join for this shivering shindig, as we sort through the mixed bag of elements that contribute to a truly memorable ALL HALLOW'S EVE. That includes crappy vintage costumes (Ben Cooper, what you were thinking?), great and not so great candy, alternative "treats," dangerous interactive mazes (tasers anyone?), essential Halloween films, scary decorations (do we really need to decorate the outside of our homes?), and more! Of course, all of this is served with the usual dollop of MONSTER PARTY bickering. Making the scene for this fiesty festival of frights, is a return guest who is no stranger to Halloween hyjinks. He's an acclaimed filmmaker who has lent his talents to such chilling classics as THE GRAVEDANCERS, BIG ASS SPIDER, TALES OF HALLOWEEN, and the upcoming, SATANIC HISPANICS! Please welcome back our good friend and fellow monster kid... MIKE MENDEZ! TRICK OR TREAT, SMELL OUR FEET, GIVE US SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT! Or, we'll keep our shoes on and you can send us a gift card.
In our final week of Gothtober your fiendish-yet-friendly ghouls bring you an episode straight from the block party! We're having an old-school Halloween cul de sac trick-or-treat party! We're going to spin some of those traditional Halloween novelty jams that you always hear when you go to a party this time of year! However, what vile and twisted interpretations can be made by our rock n' punk n' metal ambassadors??? Listen if you dare…What is it we do here at InObscuria? Every show Kevin opens the crypt to exhume and dissect from his personal collection; an artist, album, or collection of tunes from the broad spectrum of rock, punk, and metal. Robert is forced to test his endurance and provide feedback, as he has no idea what he will be subjected to every week. Our hope is that we turn you on to something that was lost on your ears, or something you've simply forgotten about, or that (in our opinion) should have been the next big thing.Songs this week include:The Ghastly Ones & Rob Zombie – “Halloween (She's So Mean)” from Halloween Hootenanny (1998)Small Town Titans – “Monster Mash” from Monster Mash - single (2018) The Tomb Tones – “The Ghost Of Toast / Halloween Mart” from The Ghost Of Toast (2023)Jhett Black – “I Put A Spell On You” from I Put A Spell On You - single (2020)Reel Big Fish – “Evil Approaches” from Punk Rock Halloween – Loud, Fast, & Scary! One of Bob Dylan's creative superpowers is to not be afraid of anything. His fearlessness as an artist means constant reinvention, forever changes in repertoire and style, pushing through low ebbs of popularity and ignoring minor blips of success like the Nobel Prize for Literature, responding to his own personal or spiritual concerns in private when celebrity demands constant exposure, and simply staying relevant and outlasting nearly all of his peers. But things do haunt him. They always have. There are ghosts in his machine. What are they? And should they scare us too?Welcome to Bob Dylan's Halloween Hootenanny! This is Episode 3 of Season 2 of Bob Dylan: About Man and God and Law. Check out the forthcoming book About Man and God and Law: The Spiritual Wisdom of Bob Dylan and stayed tuned for more.
