Cathy Goldstein's Journey After battling Crohn's disease and finding traditional medicine insufficient, Cathy Goldstein discovered the power of energy medicine through acupuncture. This experience led her to believe that hospitals, while crucial for acute care, often lack a holistic perspective. This realization inspired her to merge energy medicine with skincare. The Science of Energy Medicine Cathy's approach centers around three interconnected "nervous systems." These include: The physical nervous system, responsible for transmitting sensory signals. The liquid nervous system, encompassing hormones, neuropeptides, and biochemical responses. The bio-photon highway, a complex communication network using light energy within the body. This biophoton concept aligns with quantum physics, specifically the observer effect, which suggests that focused attention can trigger physical changes. By directing energy through specialized tools, individuals can stimulate their body's inherent healing mechanisms. Functional Skincare Functional skincare prioritizes regeneration over superficial solutions. Cathy emphasizes the following principles: Active Ingredients: The effectiveness of active ingredients relies not only on their percentage but also on their quality and origin. Transparency: Many skincare products conceal toxins under proprietary labels, especially in fragrances, potentially containing hundreds of chemicals that bypass FDA regulations. Natural Processes: Instead of introducing external substances like collagen, Cathy's methods train the skin to produce its own collagen and support natural muscle function. Skincare Protocols Tru Energy Skincare offers a comprehensive system infused with biophoton frequencies. This includes: Hydrating Cleansers and Scrubs: Gentle, nourishing products that avoid stripping the skin. Exfoliation uses jojoba beads and natural fruit enzymes to remove dead skin without micro-scarring. Lymphatic Drainage Protocols: Special techniques help release toxins, improving skin vitality by addressing underlying muscle tension and structure. Specialized Tools: Frequency-enhanced wands and serums work together to stimulate acupuncture points, promoting "Chi" (life energy) flow and revitalizing the face. In this podcast you will learn: Discover the science behind bio-photon energy and its application in skincare. Understand the principles of functional skincare and its focus on regeneration. Explore the benefits of lymphatic drainage and its role in skin health. Learn about specialized tools and techniques to enhance your natural beauty. Reflecting upon these memories is difficult but Henry states, “It is by God's grace that I'm still alive and without Him, I wouldn't be here.”The emotions and feelings are strong. 0:00-5:00Picking up from Part 1 cliffhanger where Henry is plotting his escape. The human trafficker's brother is at the compound living but does not agree with his brother's trafficking. In the middle of the night Henry decides he must escape but leaves everything behind but his Bible. Luckily after the gunfight - the security patrol had fallen asleep. Henry jumps the fence and goes to seek a hiding place for the night before he hopes to proceed to the transportation station / garage where he plans to catch a ride to his next destination. A man he runs into gives him directions to the garage but warns him that is the first place his captors will look. Henry is “very, very afraid.”He finds a taxi driver who will charge him more than the money he has so the driver kicks him out. Another man, a Christian sees Henry's Bible and asks if he is a Christian. This man has compassion on Henry and tries to help. The taxi begins to fill up with other passengers until the driver decides to take Henry too. That drive was 15-16 hours drive to Algeria. Henry is truly alone as his friend had not needed to escape. He sleeps by himself on the street and the next day he meets other refugees from Gambia including one elderly man who develops a strong friendship with Henry. Henry's brother sends him some money for food. He remains in Algeria for 4 months. He teams up with his new elderly friend for living and saving up together. This man also has skills to captain the boat / raft from Libya to Italy. They live in a center with dormitories where several thousand refugees stay. Unfortunately a fire breaks out one night at the center that many people are unable to escape and die. Henry and his friend escape though the friend breaks his ankle jumping over the barbed wire fence. Again he was homeless.,2 days later Henry receives word that his father has died. A week after this Henry's elderly friend steals his money and leaves. He is now stranded without any money but what he has in his pockets. He felt cursed and that led to isolation and depression. “It was hard. I don't know how to put it into words.” 5:00-40:00 Steve begins wrap-up of parts 1 & 2. 40:00-43:00Henry encourages those watching or listening who are going through down and dark times and prays for you. 43:00-46:00 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

She discusses how to stop living in shame and guilt caused by social media and diet culture. Episode Highlights Renae's Journey After college, Renae didn't know what to do next. She got a nursing degree and worked as a nurse assistant, which she considered a wrong career move. Renae realized that she would not find happiness and satisfaction in her job, so she quit and worked at Trader Joe's. She found herself and felt like she can be whoever she wants to be while working at Trader Joe's. She wanted to expand her growth, she decided to quit and eventually work for his dad at his second gym. Renae then received her health coaching certificate. Healing From Disordered Eating Renae suffered from eating disorders and alcoholism for 15 years. She was a high functioning bulimic, appearing well on the outside but dying on the inside.  Compared to her battle with eating disorders, she was able to sober up faster. Due to her frustrations, she finally reached out to a coach and started her healing journey. Renae felt that binge eating and obsession around food hindered her from becoming her authentic self. She reminds everyone struggling with eating disorders that they're not broken or crazy, and they can free themselves of their guilt around food. Ending the War With Food Stop controlling what you consume. If you control something, you're inevitably going to lose control at some point.  Gain and rebuild the trust you have with yourself. Reconnect your mind and body, involve your body in the decision-making process.  How Diet Culture Affects Our Lives Diet culture restricts our minds, putting unreasonable expectations on our bodies. It only shows you 1% of what the population looks like, and most people don't look the way they want us to look. It takes our body out of the equation. We don't look and eat the same way.  Following the diet culture comes with consequences; people became obsessed with becoming thin and let themselves starve and feel tired. It discourages living a life true to you. On Running Her Gym Her gym does not have a scale. Renae wants to show that exercise isn't punishment for what you ate; it's a celebration of what your body can do. She wants to educate people on diet culture, the true meaning of eating healthy, and why exercising is not simply about weight but strength and agility. Put Your Nuts Out There Podcast Renae gave podcasting a shot since she is posting a lot of video and content on Instagram. She's not afraid of being in the spotlight.   Although the name can be misleading, it mirrors what we do or should do in life—just go for it and achieve our goals.  She wants to talk about hard and important conversations, like building an identity that isn't attached to food and weight, as well as content about seeing your worth and purpose while remaining relatable to everyone.   Her mother's death served as a wake-up call for her to take steps to be happy.  Don't wait for other people to authorize you to start things.  Renae's Tips For Women Battling Against Their Destructive Relationship With Food Curate your social media. Detox when things get overwhelming.  Your body image naturally shifts when you follow people you can relate to.  5 Powerful Quotes from This Episode “I felt like my food, binge eating, and the craziness and the obsession just always kept me from really being my authentic self, even though I'm probably exactly the same to everyone else.”   “If you're controlling something, you're inevitably going to lose control. The only reason you control anything is because you're terrified of losing control.”   “Diet culture—society—tells us, ‘You look a little too big; you should probably look this way, you should probably eat this, here's this plan.' And so, then we're like, ‘Okay, I guess, I'm not okay. I better follow this plan,' and then everything gets screwed up.”   “Exercise isn't punishment for what you ate. Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do.”   “I need to do whatever it is that I need to do to be happy because nobody else is going to do it for me.” About Renae Renae Saager is a certified health and life coach and emotional eating expert.
